Hi Masters, My Qtek 9100 after appliying WM6.Crossbow.WWE.HTC.Wizard.v5.2.660-sck update ROM procedure, the device remains in the Three color screen with the codes:
IPL 2.26.0001
SPL 2.26.0001
GSM (not appear).

Have some of you the original ROM for Qtek 9100, or where I can find a fix?

Well, your WIZARD is not DEAD - just starting in BOOTLOADER mode. Looks like you did not flash it right! SOLUTION: Flash it again - in case the WM6 won't flash try another ROM (best thing: your shipped one!).
Since you'e a QTEK owner you can register at the QTEKs homepage with its IMEI number (you can find it under the battery on the label) and download the latest ROMs ...
Still remains in Bootloader Mode
Hi June2003, I try to reflash the phone many times, but the status is the same, one of the thinks that I concern is that the Rom Update Utility ver 2.5.2 not show me the current version of my Qtek (the version the lastest ROM in Qtek site doesnt work) and the upgrade version.
Before the execute the process, I read some posts into this forum that Qtek 9100 aka Wizard could be upgrading from WM5 to WM6, and this is the reason about my phone is freeze.
Any advice......

I'v gpt a wizard (in fact qtek 9100) last two weeks. I'm new to xda/htc but extensivly used PPC for fun and work (developing) for last 3-4 years. I instaled my all beloved software games etc. I'm so happy. I think that connecting a gsm to the ppc is a great stuff.
But now problems:
It hangs quite often. I have :
IPL 1.01
SPL 1.06
GSM 01.01.10
OS 1.1.7.5
The problem is with the wakeup. It dose not whant to turn on and only way is reset (thanks god soft...)
The question to you guys is the following do u recomend me to upgrade rom (and to what version) or You think i should go exersise my warranty....

upgrade to the latest ROM with AKU2.

No it should not affect your warranty as it is a qtek rom.

I have on order a o2 xda neo, I was told by the salesman that
the manual and os were in english.
I have now found out that the neo is a german version of the
i mate jamin. I feel very stupid.
What does this mean in real life terms? Will it have a german
interface that I can't read? will I have to flash the os?

I have O2 XDA Neo too, it's one week now. It's from Germany so everything was completely german. I flashed the RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID.zip from here, it's english version.
But first, try to search for english localization of WM5. I you won't find it then flash the new ROM. The problem is, there is no solution to go back to O2 German ROM nowadays for IPL, SPL version 2.15.0001. You will surely get the new version. But in month or two, there will be tool to unlock the phone to be able to flash lower versions of ROMs. Read the forum, it's priceless source of information.

The file is the Dopod's ROM, it's newer version then O2's and includes english WM5. Flashing was abslolutely no problem on my Neo. It takes about 10-15 mins to flash. Some say 30 mins, but for me it was quick. And the best thing you can do when flashing ROM - don't watch it, it doesn't like it. You know, it's intimate time for the device

1) Do you have to CID unlock your Prophet before flashing to the Dopod Rom?
2) What was your SPL / IPL prior to flashing?
3) Does flashing change your SPL / IPL?
4) I have Orange SPV M600 with IPL 2.10.0001 / SPL 2.10.0001 and someone told me that i need to CID unlock first to be able to flash ROMs.
Is this true?
5) Also i do not see the M600 original ROM available for download, how do i go back to orange ROM if need be? Will it be possible if orange made their ROM available for download?

I've just flashed my O2 Neo bought in Germany, ver. 2.09.0001. I used the ROM available in the forum,
RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID
and it worked FINE. GREAT! I bought the telephone unlocked in Germany from O2, didn't needed to unlock CID. My GSM card from my brazil operator worked fine. Wifi too.

I have a question, if I flash the O2 neo to english version, the home-zone function will be lost or not?
It will be Lost but u can install the homezone needed files from the ext.rom afterwards. These Files should be available on the ftp Server.
AND:
I did also upgrade my German O2-XDA NEO to the mentioned Dopod rom - And you can also go back to the (older) Neo Rom later.
I do not know why but it is possible to downgrade from Dopod to the newest O2 rom, maybe because both are 2.15.x.x.?!

I am newbieand just today got T Mobile MDA compact III. The phone is in dutch and also all CDs and manuals are in Dutch.
I read this forum and now I have decided to use USPL and then flash to English ROM.
But I have some questions before it (can be really stupid).
1. What is difference between soft and hard reset ? It says how to do it. But what are soft keys on my phone. My manual is in dutch and there r many keys on my device. So which are soft keys ?
2. If I enter into bootloader and dont do anything can I restart my device and use whatever system is in the phone ?
3. Where do I get ROM upgrade utility (RUU) ? I will use USPL but where I can get software and instructions to flash ROM ? Forum is full of so much information and I dont see any link which says How to flash ROM ? What is cookbook thing ? I will be really thankful if someone gives me instructions on how to flash ROM after using USPL utility.

Just read the forum and ypu will find out what is the best for your MDACIII
the soft keys are the 2 keys near the red and green telephone keys.
Hard reset: read http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_Resets
if you are in the bootloader just press the reset key (on the left site of the MDACIII for rebooting the device
allways use USPL for flashing a rom because if you don't use it you will brick your device because it's CID LOCKED
the best rom you can get right now is the Black&Blue rom for me. some like it some don't

I have a problem. I installed WM6.1 on my VPA C2. Everything went fine, but WM6.1 seemed to be slow on my device. So I decided today to downgrade to the original Qtek AKU2 WM5. After I was done downgrading my VPA is not booting and hangs up on the provider screen with the Vodafone Logo.
Here my facts:
IPL 2.21.0001
SPL 2.21.Olip
GSM 02.19.11
OS 2.18.7.7
Please tell me how I can reactivate my device.

Your phone is HardSPL,did you first remove it before flashing wm5 ? if not than you have to first remove the HardSPL flash back to official original vodafone IPL/SPL and than flash official wm5.
Well,you are lucky,if it still boots up or goes into Bootloaders,coz flashing a rom with IPL/SPL even if its an official rom, to a HardSPL device will 'Brick' the phone.
Now,if it still gets into Bootloaders,reflash any custom build wm6 or 6.1 rom to recover the phone,than remove HardSPL,flash back to official IPL/SPL and than revert back to wm5,hope it'll work out.

Okay, I now flashed the phone again w/ WM6.1. Everything works again.
What do I have to do now to get WM5 back on the device? I don't want the Vodafone ROM, I want the Qtek ROM. How can I remove the Hard SPL so?

Hi all.I have a qtek 9100 with wm 6.1 taurho ipl 1.01 and spl 1.05.
the phone work well,but i have a two problems:battery drain and the system that is very very slow..so i want to change rom and install wm5.
i doesn't know nothing to change rom or upgrade,because i have buy the phone already with wm6..
i premise that the phone is german and probably for use the italian sim and operator,the phone had to change national code(maybe.. )
So:how i find the rom and the guide to change the phone from wm6 to wm5?i need also the guide who teach me how change device nationality,because i can't use my italian sim.
