Hi!
When I upgraded to the new HTC Artemis I let my wife inherit my Magician, but she is not that in to PPC, so the question is:
Is there a skin suit (WisBar Adv Desktop or something) available that could make the phone more like a "normal" cell phone? She does not realy need all the fancy suff, but she uses tomtom, media player, SMS, MMS, Phone, Contacts, Calendar, IE, phonealarm profiles and phonealarm MMS, SMS, missed call notifications.
Preferably all functions should be available from today screen as large icons.

This is just what I'm looking for, sadly it does not run on PPC2003SE :-(
I guess the same thing could be made as a WisBar theme, maybe it already is, but just hard to find ;-)

You might just want to look around for any old thread/forum/post that has this Orange plugin. As Orange does have a Magician release that has that today plug-in (eg they DO have a plugin for 2003). Good luck.

I'm not sure if this helps, but if you were to use cLaunch to set up the Today screen .. 'nicely', you may able to make it looks simplier. Take a look at the iPhone cLaunch skin here. Note: cLaunch maybe a bit troublesome to setup.

Hi all.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced getting a full green screen effect instead of seeing the recently taken picture?
It seems to happen randomly, but is very annoying. It happens on any megapixel setting I choose but not on Panoramic photos!??!
Sounds like a notorious HTC camera software bug of old, but I can't be sure. I'll try CoolCamera software to see if it happens with that too.

Looks like a software issue then. We all know now that the Dopod ROM is rock solid.
Like I said...I'll try the Coolcamera software, as this is usually superior to HTC's camera software.

you can probably replace the camera cab file with the DOPOD one, but anyway, i agree you should try coolcamera first
just got back from holiday and had the same thing, really annoying. Seems to happen on more complex scenes. Any solutions?
weird I don't get that; I have used most of the camera functions, not come across that. Am using the Taiwan Dopod Chinese ROM with English WWE mui files (For English Language) also got spb shell and resco file explorer (with REG and FTP plugin) TOMTOM6, slingplayer M$ Voice commander 1.6, SPB backup, Jetware BT 1.24b and finally tcmp 0.74(think) with a number of plugins.
@Mackaby007, are you running any video plugins with TCMP or Coreplayer that may interfere?

i think it's cause by the T-mobile Rom, i have a friend who is having the same problem with his Ameo

Yes I have pretty much all of the TCPMP plug-ins installed bar the AVC one as I also have Coreplayer 1.04 installed also. You think it might be related to that?

that could be the reason, my friend also has all the plug-ins installed on his, i will ask him to investigate on this.

Looks nice. If smartphone can use it, PDA phone can use it.. I think. Wait til someone rip it off.. doesnt seems like anything I've known. AFAIK, there are two media player plugin for Today screen.. both has some problems.. like one of them are not sync with the media player.. and another one... ... can't remember. One of them is from SPB or SHxx .. one is free ware, but they don't look like what youve shown.
I'm pretty sure that I saw a plug in like the one showed while searching for a dialpad for the TyTN...but I'm realy sorry I don't remember where...
It was a today plug in that controls the WM player...it display the title of the song and some control buttons too.

Has anyone tested this on a hermes with WM6? I cant get it to show on my today screen no matter what i do. also there is no option to remove it after installing it. Any help would be cool since im in the dark on this one folks..

I do not think it works for wm6
do u mean i wm6 dash rom version or the version in my post? the one in my post is tested on a cingular 8525 running black 2.5 cingular and works no prob.
SPB has a similar plug in. its called, "Spb Pocket Plus Plugin - ToPlay -WMP 10 Controller"
hmm.. well the ToPlay -WMP 10 Controller hasnt ever worked on my hermes..
it just crashes on boot, and the whole SPB app. stops working.. havent done anything about it thou.. it doesnt really bother me.. since i can just minimize the media player and bring it up again..
does anyone else have this problem?

PocketMusic includes a similar Today plugin. Not sure though if you get the plugin with the free version. I bought the commercial version.
The best ever player for PC is now ported to WM devices. A lot of people want a player with an equalizer - so here it is! For now tested only on wm2003. Enjoy!

Yep, and for now only the russian version. But I suppose the language file is customizable, if you find it - upload it here, I'll translate it and send it back. (I've got an HTC Touch and don't wanna brick it with 2003 progs)

S2P is not die, He still develop this application in other version, i hope new version S2P soon release.

not working perfectly on touch cruise (polaris) wm6.1 beta : no problem for installation but when you lauch the program it display a weird error message if you click ok the prog start but it can t find all my music, it s like if winamp can t look into subfolder.
so my choice is still s2p for now

Anyway, I didn't develop it, and, as I say, is's for wm2003. So I'm not the one to blame. I just share with you. Maybe the error is because of the russian language?

Don't bother with this title. It's way inferior to most medi aplayers out there. Don't be mislead by the title.
See my multimedia-related articles so that you can see why I do NOT recommend it.
This tweak, consisting of 2 small apps, allows you to use the button of earphones shipped with Diamond to play/pause music and skip to next track. Just install the CAB. If you won't like it, it is uninstallable.
Apps supported: MortPlayer, WMP, TCPMP, FM Radio, TouchFLO 3D Music tab (both in v1 and v2)
You do not have to specify which app to control. The running one is controlled.
Also, be careful and lock your screen and allow your device to suspend after some time. When you press the button the PPC wakes up. I can't suspend it without stopping music, with the exception of FM Radio, so make sure accidental presses won't do anything (lock) and that device will susped itself after some time.
NOTE: Voice Command is not usable after this. Also some BT headset buttons may play/pause or switch tracks.
Everything is at your risk. If you like it or have problems with it, please reply!

kosherpig this a great app and works perfectly on my diamond with the wired headset. It does interfere though when I'm trying to voicedial using a bluetooth headset (it starts music player and changes to next song). Any way that you can disable your app when the bluetooth link is active?

Unfortunately it is not possible. If you need voice command, you can delete the file \windows\sddialer.exe .
After that, voice dial will work but you won't be able to start/stop with wired headset. It's a flaw of method used by me.

I think I may try, but I doubt Diamond is a M2D-capable device, so I need your help. Does manila2d switch tabs at least? Or, it looks like the program actually does anything, ie. scrolls the view?

yes - happy to help you on the M2d testing front.. Manila 2D from what i understand, has a similar user experience to M3D - minus some visual effects.
The default music player is also called the Audio Manager. And on M2D, users can access it from the Music Tab (like M3D).
I don't have any knowledge of the API for the audio manager, but if a forum M2D expert can help with the API, I will be happy to test your code.

PlayPause doesn't work on my touch diamond correctly, it just lights up the screen when double clicking/long click headset button even and it is configured for coreplayer in settings.

???? Here works fine with Coreplayer 1.3.2...but this thread isn't about that anyway. If you wanna solve it, let's talk on the APP thread. Sorry for being harsh on the first post then.

looks like the switching off of the screen when you have s2u2 installed is preventing any skip to the next song and really delaying the pause/unpause (20sec).
Have you tried it?
Is there a setup of s2u2 that could solve this (through s2p maybe)?
Aside of that it is a great feature, I always thought that the implementation of the headset button was dumb!

Okay. So I made a experimental version for M2D.
To make it work:
- make sure that, at main screen, the menu Start is named exactly Start.
- make sure you are at "Music" tab. Currently I am not able to switch through M2D tabs.
Note: if you are using TouchFLO 3D aka Manila aka Manila 3D, use the CAB from the first post.

I confirm your test. With S2U2 enabledskip and play/pause functions are inibithed.
