Just come to the end of my contract, called today and got what I consider a cool deal.

Prices vary, but your best bet (if you don't want or have £675 + to spend on a new JasJar) is to look on Ebay. Some bids are starting at £300.00! But expect the reserve price to be above £500. Having said that, MDA Pro (T-mobile) are knocking them out on contract quite reasonably priced, which means that some JasJar owners might be letting theirs go soon for less than £600.00, but I wouldn't hold your breath!
Once you've got one of these babys, chances are there's no turning back. They seriously Rock! 8)
The Dutch MDA Pro can be bought for about 800 euros, it is a WWE device. Only minor detail: simlocked to T-Mobile Netherlands, but some rumours say that when you buy a contract-free device, you only have to fax them your invoice to get the unlock code for free. I have however not tested this myself, so no guarantees for that!
I got mine (assuming we are talking about the HTC Universal - I my case an imate JasJar) from expansys.com
I went for the £75 per month package which, due to the 50% line rental offer, is only £37.50 per month for a THOUSAND free minutes (on vodafone). This brought the price of the phone down to £117ish......

I just brought a O2 Exec for 565 pounds Not sure if I made the right decision and someone is making a pretty good profit.. But oh well, it's at least cheaper than the Jasjar Should be here in about a week and I guess if I don't like it, I can at least get what I paid for selling it here in Hong Kong
O2 sells it with a 12 month contract, 19 pounds a month, and only 139 pounds for the phone, it comes out 368 pounds i believe total, then you can just cancel there service and keep the phone. But hey its alright.

Yeah I know, it worked out to be around 357.99 pounds *if* I can get someone in UK to get it for me.. I asked several friends to help and one said he'll have to get back to me... Since I can't wait so I went eBay Figured *if* I can get the 357.99 pounds one from my friend eventually, I could prolly make a small profit to cover my expensive eBoy unit LOL

WalMart (Asda) did something silly with the price of digital cameras, but they chose to make the deal to those who bought them because it was good PR and their mistake.

a few years ago I got a pair of kodak dx3700's for peanuts in a simalar deal so there is hope ;-)
Lets see who delivers first as a two week delay by T-Mob gives me grounds to cancel the web order if this company can deliver next day.

I paid £14.99 for my SPV M5000 as an upgrade on Orange. Just gave them the usual speil about leaving for another network...Left me with some cash for my 4 gig SD card :lol:

I took the liberty of ordering one earlier this morning at the excellent price.
They've changed the price now to reflect the typo.
I got mine on T-mobile in the Netherlands. 9,99 euros for the MDA Pro if I took out a 2 year flex contract at 30 euros a month.
They also included a free 512MB card (part of the standard deal).
Seemed good to me!
They did not honour it :-(
And I was not in the mood to get stroppy
Oh well I will have to wait for T-mobile websales to get stock back in.

Seems voda have dropped the HD2 in the uk, which is a shame as they offer £100 cashback
tmob not so generous with the cashback.

Vodafone are offering the phone free for £30 a month (24Months) or £35 (18months). However if you are an existing customer and been on a higher tariff such as the £40 Blackberry you can negotiate the price down by £5 a month by going through the call centre.
So I've just upgraded and taken an 18 month contract at £30 a month with free phone. This gives me 600 minutes and 500MB.
This is significantly cheaper than other networks are offering a WP7 phone, Orange and O2 are £45 for 18 month contracts. I considered the HD7 and Samsung Omnia but opted to stay with Vodafone as the LG had good reviews and 16GB compared to the Omnia. HD7 looked good if not a little bulky but I wasnt going to pay an extra £270 over the lifetime of the contract.
Has anyone found a place to buy the Optimus 7 sim free in the UK? I've got one pre-ordered from Expansys but they still don't have any details on availability.
I'm tied into my contract with T-Mobile until November (damn 18 month contracts) from when I got my HD2 through mobilephonesdirect.co.uk so my only option is to go sim free. I'm not too keen on buying an unlocked handset from eBay (I've seen a few on there but don't know how much I trust them) - I'd like one stock without any of the Vodafone alterations.
