Now for the rest of you, my intent in this review is to focus on the X7500’s usability.
There are really only two things about this device that make it different from other Windows Mobile devices. It has an 8gb hardrive, and most importantly it has a 5 inch screen. This is one of the most significant changes we have seen in a Windows Mobile device. There have been lots of innovative changes made to converged devices, but few in the area of mobile computing. With the X7500 I like to call it “non-desktop computing” The 5 inch screen enhances the viewing capabilities of Windows Mobile by leaps and bounds, as I will show later with screen shots and pictures.
Before I get too far into this review I want thank Paul and Igor of SuperiorGadgets for putting the device in my hands for a few days so I could review it.

I love the color. The only reason I could consider giving back my Dopod U1000...

What's the phone signal like on the u1000? I had a universal qtek 9000 and the phone signal was always weak. I finally stop using it. The u1000 would have to have a good signal.

acer s200 engineering samples

I bought an acer s200 on ebay and it is different from normal. it has front camera. behind the battery above the serial number is written engineering samples. when I called the first time in the boot he said only for testing not for sale. with the original rom he turned on the camera but had a lot of bug's and I installed a rom from arto's. but now I can not turn on the camera front. someone help me?

At first on youtube ACER S200 F1 was anounced with FRONT VIDEO CALL CAMERA,but when it is released for the market sell,the front camera dissapeared,don't know why?!.....
And when you install ARTO's ROM the camera app is may be different from the ROM you purchased the phone with...
And another thing,I am using Pham Quang's ROM V7 from pdaviet.net,and it is the best ROM for now,AND IT HAS VIDEO CALL option in the dialer,may be he is using the same test version of this phone?You must try!

Hi,i m curious can you post some pictures?I ve bought on ebay the touch panel and look s like it has one more hole for the camera near the headphone,in plus the acer writing is near the headphone in upper right position,not in lower center like the original one

I ve found a picture of what i think is the engineering sample,looking at the left of the headphone i can see the front camera,and on the upper right the acer logo.This touch panel is exactly like mine arrived today from hong kong

A user said that he gave his s100 to acer repair center and he received it back with s200 touch panel.Now the strage think is that everything work apart from the call button (the one in the left),and he asked for a change with the original liquid one.I ve sent him a pm,wishing he answer...
It s really really strange,could it be that our s200 can mount a capacitive s100 screen?

The one in the first picture is the s200 touch panel in s100 liquid i m sure...The second picture represent the liquid original one

Isn't S100 3.5" against 3.8" F1 screen?
I wouldn't want a capacitive screen anyway, that's why I bought the F1 instead of an HD2, and very nice it is compared to my omnia II and HD also, pity it will probably be the last of it's kind

Yes the screen is smaller on s100,but it could be since the s200 touchscreen has the same dimension of the s100 one,only the screen hole is bigger...I posted this news because is interesting at least for me,since i m an hardware technician,and to keep alive a little the s200 section.I think we don t need capacitive touchscreen because our resistive is very very very good...
