Yes the system is in chinese, so like the menu and setting are all in chinese, but when the english Rom is available , you can change it, that's what i will do anyway

Can't test GPS yet because i don't have TomTom install. Build Quality is very very good.
Camera much much better than Universal, very happy with it! I have bought a miniSDHC , and i ask the camera to store my pic there, set it to 3M pixel, with highest quality, times to store is like 1 sec, very very fast!
Even the front camera is better than the Universal Main Camera, and man, the screen is HUGE, so nice to take photo with this screen.

Video playback seems fine, but need to do more testing on large film. Speakers are very good! Much better than Universal.

Sorry faisal.husain, forgot to answer your question here, although the base system is in chinese, but all the new software you install will be in english. So if you install English TomTom, yes it will be in english

N93 is a good phone
but it isn't a pocket pc
the camera is 3.2 MP and Video Recording is very very good
the screen is not big but the quality is very good
and end phone if N Series is N95
that's Camera is so better than N93. it is 5 MP and Video Recording Quality is DVD
but my idea is athena is the best phone/pocket pc in the world now

no, it's not really shock resistant, you will need to hold it with your finger, otherwise it will fall down

Hi folks, i am usin' O2 XDA Exec(Universal WM5), my network doesn't support Video Calls, so the front camera ain't of any damn use at all.
Can anyone expert here tell me, if there is any application(i really doubt), which can make it work as a normal front camera.

Try AtekSoft's apps. You can use front facing camera as a web cam in Web Camera Plus. Do not know about Cool Camera program, but I think you should be able to use the front facing camera the same way as the main camera with it.

yeah, when i wuz searchin' for this, i found some results referrin' to Coolcam, in the archive of xda-developers itself. I downloaded it, but it seemed more like Add-on features for the main camera.

And you know what, while goin' thru forums, i just found out that the option to switch over to front camera feature is there in Universal, built-in already. When you click on Camera, there is a toggle button, for front camera(though the features of one built-in s**ks in comparison to cool camera).
I never paid heed to it, i thought that toggle button is to switch over to low-resolution mode or somethin' like that. Oh man, i feel like a total fool now hahaha

Sometimes we can not see things we have just under our noses, anyway I am glad you have it sorted out There is no such a switch on Hermes (Hermes has Macro switch instead) so I think I will give CoolCamera a go.

yeah pal, you should try it. The website says:
Restrictions of unregistered version:
Maximum video recording time and Interval Photo time is 5 seconds.
so for video, you gotta use the default application, but you can use this application for capturin' images, interval photo time of 5 seconds, would hardly matter for you, i think.

Front camera on Hermes using Coolcamera is sideways.. a little bug that never got fixed. Changing any settings in CoolCamera won't do anything either.

Can you change the target folder for the loaded pictures? I try to change the target folder from my Storage Card from the option menu but it didn't work.
It had 2 Gb card, and leather case enclosed... and it is... super fast!!

Nope, Pictures are taken with a other 5.1MP device what I cannot tell you the name off.
That's why I also have to do a nother video, the video I took, you could clearly see the brand name of that phone, And I'm not allowed to share it.

You start the compass, press set location.
It opens google map, you select ur location in google map.
The app switched you to the compass leading you the way.

I live in China. bought it in www.jd.com. Cost 4100 RMB(=622.69 usd).
I've installed Google services without root, so at the moment can't tell the difference between this and international ver.

OMG, I'm sold! I see h263/h264/hevc/MPEG4/DivX311/DivX4/DivX/MPEG2/VP8/VP9 for video codecs and AC3/EAC/Flac for audio codecs. This is perfect for my video codecs!
Now just need a reliable source to buy this from.
I ordered one of these from spemall.com last week, I wish they would hurry up and ship it. I don't remember seeing the fairly small "presale" text almost hidden on the product page now when I made the purchase. I hope they aren't holding back international purchases of this Chinese version for their international launch.

Im not an audiophile, unfortunately, but I do appreciate a good sound quality as I have Sennheiser Wireless, and v-moda m100 and constantly listening to Dubstep\hardstyle\rock etc. I listened for a few minutes without to much equalizing and it sounds very good. I am hoping that they have used the AOSP recent apps list and drop down quick settings rather than the way that MIUI and EUI do them.
If you have a Type-C -> hdmi/power in/usb A, could you give a try to that ?
As in, can you output to a screen through HDMI while charging and using a keyboard.

Hmm. The chinese UI is very customized, I wanted to barf when I saw it the first time. Also because this is high configuration, its made of gold color, hardware and software. The notifications tray is actually nice, and after I nova prime the **** out of the phone , it looks great!
There are alot of functions, can't list them all, better watch youtube. But theres forcetouch(works very poorly, need software update), floating icon that can go back,take screen shot etc. You can have duplicate apps (wechat, whatsapp etc), voice activation and much more, I like it so far. Also for a full day not one force close.
Yes it supports voice recording (in dialer and regular).
No google what so ever, you can install seperatly though.
Don't think theres internet calling.
