Does the MDA output audio through the USB port? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Hey guys, I am trying to make a connection for my car and was wondering if the MDA outputs audio through the USB port. If it does could someone show me a diagram of which pins it is on a normal sized port assuming using the standard full size USB port to the mini USB cable. Could someone also show me which pins are the power input pins as well and will it take a source that outputs 5V DC at 1A. Thanks guys.

Try BlueTooth. Also, there is an HTC manual in the FTP folders, check it out.

I currently have the supplies to do it the normal wired way thats why I prefer it that way. Bluetooth would be nice though.

i dont think the usb outputs sound, which is why there is a headphone jack...

Thanks. sorry i thought i remembered someone saying that there was a headset that plugged into the usb port so i assumed that it might have output sound from the usb port if this were true. Can someone tell me which pins are the ones that supplies power?

Will TyTN/8525 Y-Cables work for the TyTN 2 ?

Specifically this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/mini-usb-Y-cabl...ihZ015QQcategoryZ3311QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem
Or is there a better quality cable that has these same two plugs ?
Thanks,

Hi a quick question, this Y cable what is it supposed to do? i can see that you have a mini usb output and a 3.5mm jack output, does that mean i can charge it and listen to MP3 at the same time?
Thanks

I am assuming "YES" as that is my goal.
Please correct me anyone if I am mistaken....
it should work. The HTC stuff hasn't changed much so anything that uses the mini-USB for headphones and charging are the same. My last T-Mobile Dash came with a Y that works in that and the Kaiser.

Question about OTG

First of all, I have seen a lot of reports of people not being able to plug in headphones because the 90 degree adapters cover the headphones. Anyways, would a usb male to female adapter work if I just plugged in a normal data/charging cable and then attached that adapter so that I could use usb devices?

Um, no.
The cable attached to the device needs to have pins 1 and 5 connected (OTG). If you're worried about angled connectors, just get a straight one and it's not an issue.

Using SlimPort and OTG at the same time

Has anyone tried using OTG and SlimPort (HDMI/DP/VGA-Output) at the same time? Does it work?

I'm a little confused. Won't the Slimport cable and OTG cable need a seperate mini-USB connection? Unless there is an OTG cable that has some sort of Y-port I'm not aware of or there is a Slimport with similar Y-port I can't see how they could work at the same time with the LG. The connections just aren't... oh...
If you do get some converters of USB male on one end and mini-USB female on the other you could get them to connect but I have no idea if that would work since I don't know nearly enough about the electronics of these devices.
Good luck on your project.

Slimport isnt a cable as much as an adapter. Slimport is like mhl adapter, has a mail microusb to plug into phone, then a female microusb out the side, and female HDMI out the end.... pretty standard fair ... but no op, haven't tried it...
The slimport I've seen online had the electronic guts section with a cable attached. I know what you mean in that it's a device that functions as an adapter, but there are at least some versions that have a flexible cable on the USB end of it.
Your point is made however.
So, OP (or anybody else) did slimport + usb-otg work for you?
Hi, what do you think about this -> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-LG-G3...448165?hash=item1a0294aea5:g:u~IAAOSw-vlVlj7V ?
Would love to know if anyone has solved this in the last four years. Will generic hdmi/usb to micro-usb work? Do MHL hdmi/usb hubs work at all? Is there anyway to get that Ebay item listed above that is long-since unlisted?

[Q] Driving an external DAC with USB output

I've read that 4.1 allows USB audio output, for example at http://www.head-fi.org/t/616118/android-4-1-finally-usb-audio .
Can anyone tell me exactly what I need to do to get my lovely DAC / headphone amp taking a USB feed from the I337? For one thing, can the I337 be the USB host, or do I need some sort of OTG cable?
The DAC has a mini-B plug.

What exactly is up with the USB-C charging port?

Hello,
I've tried to find a clear, straight answer online and while I have found info regarding the USB-C standard, I can't find an answer to my question.
I use a mirco usb plug to charge both my current mobile phone and my android tablet.
Does the smaller port in the OnePlus Two use the same sized micro-usb port for charging? I understand that the USB-C port is the larger port on the other end of the cable. Maybe I am wrong about that.
Right now I have several micro usb chargers that I use to charge my phone and my tablet, and I'd like to know if they will be able to charge a OnePlus Two. I don't mind if the charging is slower, but I'd just like to know if it will fit and charge.
Thanks!
No in my sense,as far as my knowlege goes, USB-Type C is altogether a different technology,so you will need a special adapter for OTG too..

No.....a big No....the port they are using is nothing more than a new plug on the phone side of the cord. The other end of the cable will plug into all your old USB ports. So you will need to use the OP2 cable but the end that does not plug into the phone will plug into any current USB port.
They did not include any of the good things that come with USB C, they just put the USB C plug in the phone and on one end of the cable.

Thanks, friend. That's clear. This is a drag. Right now I have several charging cables that power all my stuff. Now if I get the OP2, I'll need two cables for home and two for the office. That's a negative in my book
Thanks!

Based on the release video they said an adapter would be available older USB cables so that might be an option for you.
Good to know. If the adapter is small and inexpensive, that would help a lot! Thanks!
