Voice Command Over Bluetooth - P3600 General

Voice Command 1.6 seems to be a bit of a nightmare and i have given up on my hermes for now.
My trinity though is almost ok, the only thing that doesnt work is when i push the voice button on the headset the sound comes out the phone speaker.
If i use the button on the phone though the sound comes out the headset.
How can i change the action of the button on the bluetooth headset to do what the button on the device is doing.
Thanks all.
Rob.

FYI I use a SonyEricsson stereo BT headset and I don't experience this problem.

Rjefferis, I experience the same problem as you.
I have a Jabra JX10 headset.
Confirmation voice always comes out of phone speaker, not headphone... and irritatingly, it takes microphone readings from the phone body too. Kind of defeating the idea of hands free voice dialling.

Yeah this seems to be the problem on the hermes too. On mine it works correctly if i use the voice dial button on the phone. So the button on the headset and the button on the phone must be calling slightly different functions. All i need to know is what reg key i have to edit to make the headset button do the same as the phone one.
Try yours to see whether it works using the phone button. I think maybe my a2dp is getting involved somewhere as well.

There is an option about Notifications and Bluetooth devices in the Voice command settings... does this solve you problem?

Not for me.
It is set to read only through handsfree. I havent got my headset here, so I will see what happens if I switch it to the opposite like rjefferis implied.

yeah i doesnt make a difference using the options in voice command.
I think maybe when i push the button on the phone it works through the a2dp to the headset which obviously it shouldnt be.
When i use a non stereo headset then i think it always comes out the phone no matter what.

There are a number of threads regarding this issue and some semi-working fixes to get initiating a voice call through a mono bluetooth headset.
The problem seems to be a difference in the trinity passing audio through the audio gateway using a mono bluetooth headset. Not sure if this is a problem with the implentation of Microsoft's bluetooth stack on the TyTn/Trinity but I'm assuming that's the case.
According to Microsoft's Voice Command site, they indicate that the TyTn (put the Trinity in the same situation) passes audio through the device speaker. They also make note that devices running Windows Mobile build prior to 15097.3.0.0 will pass announcements through the device speaker. This leads me to believe that Microsoft fixed audio to a mono bluetooth headset but I've seen lot's of messages from people running roms higher than this version who still have the problem so sounds like HTC hasn't implemented it.
I've sent emails to HTC who indicate that it's a 3rd party program and there is no guarentee they will fix it as it's a Microsoft problem. I haven't been able to get word from Microsoft if it is being fixed but from their website, seems both parties are passing the buck on this one.
Considering HTC's lack of commitment in releasing updates for their branded products and the delay, we probably won't see another rom after their first release for a while if any since they seem more committed to releasing new products increase their bottom line without keeping their current customers happy. So if it's not in their upcoming rom update and Microsoft isn't releasing a fix, we could be waiting a while. I'd recommend anyone who cares about this issue to send an email to HTC Support. You'll get the generic response but hopefully if enough people complain about it, a fix might fall into their update

Help with Bluetooth Headset!!

Sorry if you have already read this but I am still having a problem!!
I got the new Bluetake iphone mini stereo headphones for christmas and was hoping to use them with my MDA Pro (running the new O2 ROM).
I have them paired as a "Hands Free" device...
I know that I can't use the stereo features until the new A2DP patch come out (hopefully soon!), however what I want to be able to do is use voice command to initiate calls etc. However when I press the call/power or Play/Pause button all I hear is a beep from the headset and nothing hapens on the PDA...
However I can use the button to answer and hangup a call (as long as I answered it with the handset...) If I initiate the call on the MDA then I can't hangup with the headset...
Am I doing something wrong or does it sound like something is faulty??
Any advice?
Thanks
Andy.
I actually had an oportunity to try out the voice levels and sound is awful! I also tried to connect it to my SE T610 and it refused and it did the same when I tried to connect it to my Toshiba M200 tablet PC as in both cases it never asked for the passkey...
I am begining to think that they must be faulty??
But becuase I have never had a BT headset before so I'm not sure if I am doing something stupid!
Andy
I have managed to try a SE BT headset with my MDA Pro and it did work and activate voice command. So it would seem that the headset is faulty. Does anyone have any ideas before I send it back?
Andy
Please!! Is there anyone here who can comment on whether they think these are broken or if I am just incompetent!
If they are broken then I need to send them back really soon...
FWIW, my Jabra BT330 and the SE HBH-662 just need a single quick click to activate the voice dial, but these Plantronics Pulsar 590A things I just got (which are fandabidosi by the way!) need a prolonged press to do the same.
Have you tried keeping your finger on the button for a while?
Ferg.

Just looked at the instructions for the bluetake i-phone (bt450rx),
(got them myself for xmas)
and it does not say that you can connect to the phone for voice control,
however you should be able to hang up from the headset.
i have got the k-jam (wizard) and can dial from the k-jam and hangup from the headset.
voice control may not be available because the new bluetooth stereo headset's are ready for AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile).
the older bluetake headset bt420rx can be used for voice control but do not have AVRCP function.
I hope i am wrong, but it may be the answer you have not been looking for.
Hmm... That sounds bad...
I only have a few days left to return it and don't know whether to get a replacement or to go for a different headset?
i like the idea of being able to play/pause/f-foward/rewind via the headset(when bt v2 upgrade is available), because music playback is more important to me than voice dial.
of course if you can send it back, then perhaps just wait until bt v2 is available, and then buy a headset for the uses you require it for.(wish there was an emotion with cross eyes) LOL
I know what you mean but I would still be able to use voice command!!
Does anyone else have the 450Rx and a universal and could test it for me?
if you do prove me wrong (and i hope you do) please let me know.
answering this problem further,
the bluetake i-phono mini headset cannot be used for voice command,
however the motorola ht820 can be used for voice control.
Had similar issues with my headset (not the same type). In the end, I had enable secure mode on the universal, pair the devices, select serial port and then immediately initiate the voice dial, otherwise it didn't work.
Gareth
I decided to play it safe and returned it back to Expansys for a refund. When someone else gets a set of stereo headphones and A2DP is out... and crucially they can confirm it works! Then I'll buy a new one!
Cheers
Andy
one good thing with motorola ht820 is that they can be used with a detatchable cable, so whilst i'm using them bluetooth for the phone side, i can still hear good quality music.
also i know from trying them with my wife's qtek s110 that you can control windows media player as well.
you may have already tried this, but just in case you haven't,
install and run the three files for either "bt off", "bt on", or "bt toggle",
this will switch all audio to the bt headset or away,
of course quality is not good, but at least no cables.
ps. if the headset is switch off and you put bt on, you will get an on screen error message.

Do they come with this cable as standard?
EDIT: Did a search, and they do.... might just buy them now and sell my Sony EX-71's.... would they we at least the same in terms of sound quality? It's the thing people talk about least with these devices!
So lemme see if I got this right.... even before I get A2DP installed on my Exec, I can listen to perfect music using the cable, and also use the hphones as a bluetooth headset as well? Will the music still pause etc when a call comes in?
Just bought a pair of HT820's on Ebay there.... £38, not too bad. Should get about £25-30 for two pairs of existing headphones, so well please.

What about Skype and Sip functions ?

Hi all,
I have Qtek s100 since exactly 2 years. I am very happy and even after relasing so many HTC PDA phones after that, I really did not think of changing my phone. Now I see P3600 as probable candidate to replace my S100. But in addition to size and processor, I would also be looking at some key features as justification to change. I am not going to use 3G or 2MP camera. so, lets narrow down to Free/very cheap phone function on this phone.
- anybody tried to install Skype client to make audio calls on wifi connection?
- Also anybody checked function of SIP voip client like SJPhone again using wifi?
If these features are going to have problem with.. I would still stay back with S100 happily.
AS
Skype works fine on it and I run VoIPSurfer for SIP without any problems!
Anyone can get skype sound to come trough the phone speaker instead of the loudspeaker? (I think it is a software limitation, but is there a workarround?)

This is only available on the Eten X500. I finally decided to get this instead of the Trinity coz I dun use the 3G and the GPS is a lot better on the X500.

It is a limitation in Skype. Try using a headset. Not BT though, since the processor can't handle both Skype and BT headset at the same time..
With my LOOX 720, we also have a "large" speaker (badly positioned even if you wanted to ignore that it is a loudspeaker and put it in your ear) and a small "phone" speaker (placed correctly where you would put your ear), although FSC never released any VoIP app for the device (and LOOX is not a phone).
Skype (and other VoIP apps) worked as you say. Audio was coming out of the main speaker, plus they (Skype) ignored our requests to use the correct speaker (or didn't know what to do about it).
Then some guys noticed that the small speaker was ALWAYS outputing audio (in apps/games etc.), but since it is a small phone speaker, you have to put your ear on to hear it. Also this gives more "depth" in 720 audio (since the tiny speaker does its part). Anyway, that was an interesting discovery because it led to research that gave something more important:
A simple registry entry could shut-off the main speaker while keeping the phone speaker working! No need for soft reset or anything! Some even made a little program for this (which also keeps different volume levels for when on and off since eg. I want volume=2 when loudspeaker is on and volume=4 when only ear speaker is on). Toggle it whenever we want (I have a shortcut in my today screen for it).
So I am thinking... look for something like that in Trinity also? It should even be simpler because I am sure Trinity has pretty clear and distinct volume values for both speakers (since this IS a phone after all).
Maybe a shortcut to a registry key could allow to control the speaker volume... like in the loox. I'll try to search registry... Anyway, this is a known issue for skype, so probably they will be working on that on future releases, maybe it needs customization for every particular model. _http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=71698
Skype and Bluetooth
I use a stereo BT headset and it works great (iTech clip S38). I used another program to toggle, but battery life went to a couple of hours, even when not in use. If you Skype a lot, or even once on an international trip, the cost is well justified.

It is possible now with the last final (not beta) version of Skype (2.2.20 or something like that).
The problem is, this final version doesn't work for all phones. You can see the list of supported devices on Skype download page.
The Trinity is not supported on this final version. You can only use chat function, and when you place a voice call, the application automatically shut down.
That's why we keep running the previous beta versions, which work fine, but the sound come from the back speaker
I tried this final version on my wizard, and I confirm that the sound does come from the ear-piece, for the first time in skype history. But strangely enough, this 'new' skype is only compatible with 'old' phones...
The text found below was sent to Skype by me today
Dear Skype,
#1 please sent me a list of supported Pocket PC’s that work with skype and with a Bluetooth A2dp Headset.
The one I have now can be found at: http://www.jabra.com/Sites/Jabra/NA-US/products/Pages/JabraBT8040.aspx and I works really well for windows media mobile.
#2 I currently have the following device which does not work with Skype for the Pocket PC with an A2dp headset. I am very upset about this; I really want to use your skype out service, but cant.
My Device Information: Unlocked
HTC P3600, Trinity
ROM version: 1.23.405.2
ROM date: 03/11/07
Radio Version 1.38.00.11
Protocol Version: 32.71.7020.12h
ExtROM Version: 1.23.405.103
I have installed the following versions of Skype for PPC
SkypeForPocketPC-2.0.0.51-LowCPU.cab
SkypeForPocketPC-2.0.0.51-LowCPU.cab
SkypeForPocketPC-2.2.0.18-Beta.cab
kypeForPocketPC-2.2.0.20-Beta.exe
SkypeForPocketPCNew.CAB
The only one that works is the SkypeForPocketPC-2.2.0.18-Beta.cab it works perfectly for the HTC P3600, Trinity however, "only" when you use the corded headset that attaches to the mini usb on the phone, or just the speaker that is on the back of the phone the “external speaker”.
the SkypeForPocketPC-2.2.0.18-Beta.cab, I feel, does not work with any A2DP Bluetooth headset.
I have tried the following A2DP Bluetooth headsets
JabraBt8040
Link: same as above
Plantronics Voyager 855 Stereo Bluetooth Headset
Lubix UBHS-NC1 Stereo Bluetooth Headset
I think something goes wrong when the Bluetooth stack tries transfer the Skype audio to the Bluetooth headsets it gets all messed up with lots of echoes and sound disconnects and, latency and so on. However playing any multimedia files on the phone work perfectly through my A2DP Bluetooth headset.
Like a said SkypeForPocketPC-2.2.0.18-Beta.cab works perfectly only when you use the corded headset that attaches to the mini usb on the phone, or just the speaker that is on the back of the phone the “external speaker”.
I have also tried to use a whole bunch of 3rd party applications that redirected the sound to my older mono headsets. I tried three of them, and that did not work either. It’s something when the speaker sound gets transferd to any BT device.
(((((( Update I just used the the btaudio.zip that qyach posted: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289720
it works but the mono sound is still not very good, nothing like a mobile phone call sound, and no ware near the sound quality with the corded headset that came with the HTC P3600 What to do,, anyone?
Im thinking of getting a ETEN X800 http://www.smart-mobile-gadgets.com/welcome/cart.php?target=product&product_id=1128&category_id=40
I read that It works well with Skype, and the sound is sent to the phones earpiece after installing a piece of software that ETEN developed called Skype Switch, therefore it should work with a BT headset.
http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:cwIdCCuH2LEJ:www.etenblog.com/2007/11/13/getting-skype-to-work-as-it-should/+skype+Switch+program&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=us
But now some sales man who sounded like he know what he was talking about, said that the ETEN phones are flaky and that 70% of the ETEN phones that he sells get returned.
I don’t know what to do, but, dam it I want a WM5 or WM6 Phone that works perfect with Skype sound BT and all.
Now the only problem is how much better or worse is HTC V.S. ETEN? I really am looking for a cool looking phone something small and sleek that will work perfect with Skype mobile. The ETEN X800 looked like it was the solution. But now I don’t know what to do.
Someone please help.
Update: 02/16/08
I Just got an ETEN x800 and istalled the Skype Switch and took skype for a test run ,, ya,ya, the sound gets redirected to the earpiece,,, ya, but it sonds like sh_t also..
Someone out there has to be able to Hack this mess.
DTMF ,Fring, PPC Skype, And A2DP.
For the Skype sound problem not going through the BT headset someone on this site suggested using fring which is a fantastic idea, however it’s always something... with fring you can place a Skype out call but during the call you can’t navigate company’s phone menu during the call like, “press 1 for billing” “press 2 for sales”. There isn’t even a dial pad. When I contacted there support department I got this:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting our support team.
Currently, it is not available to dial DTMF sounds on fring, this should be implemented in future versions. You can stay up to date on new releases from our blog http://www.fring.com/blog/
In other words, I’m not holding my breath.
Is there a way to transmit a DTMF signal to the input of a Bluetooth A2DP headset? I don’t mean literally, just a sound redirect, in other words trick it into thinking it’s me making the DTMF sound.
I can’t find anything on the net except for Dial-a-matic, which will not work. I also took a look at Pocket Dialer v1.03 but there is no way to redirect sound. I also thought that maybe Kai’s ContactDialer would work but I don’t think it does, or I don’t understand how to use it and get it to work.
I also wonder if all of these problems are salved on WM6 I was looking at upgrading to the new HTC P3470 but the processor is slower than the p3600.
God,, do I want to get rid of that stupid weird mini HTC usb headset, ridicules for a $700 phone.
I wouldn’t need to go through all this if Skype would just finally fix their PPC version to work with a Bluetooth headset.

VC 1.6 announcements over BT Headset

I know this has been covered a bit but I have a quick question. MS is saying you need to have AKU 3.2 to get VC to announce caller's over your BT Headset. Has anyone found a simple way to make this work on an earlier ROM. Lately I've been running mostly Molski's ROM, but I dabbled in Faria's 3.2. I swore I had BT working totally with a 2.26 ROM, but am I on crack?
I liked Faria's 3.2 but I was missing too many calls. Is there any way to upgrade just teh BT in an older ROM to make this work. (I'm sure my inexperience shows in this question. If its impossible to do, just say the word and I'll patiently wait for a new 3.2 or 3.5 ROM or just forget about this)
I have two answers to your question.
The first is use the A2DP hack found in this forum and get a stereo bluetooth headset. The iTech Clip R35 or S35 both come with the two headphones; one with only one earbud, so you aren't covering both your ears. When you have a stereo bluetooth headset, all sound, including the calls from MS Voice Command are redirected to your headset.
The second is use the program found here:
http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/...luetooth-headset.html?perpage=20&pagenumber=1
It basically redirects all sound to bluetooth (probably a cheaper and easier fix); I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like it might be the solution you are looking for.
I also liked having the feature of calls announced through bluetooth, but it never did seem to work. I have been meaning to download the program from the site, but just haven't gotten chance. If you try it, let me know if it works.
Thanks.
I wonder how hard it would be to get that little program to run automatically when connected to a head set
yeah theres nothign cooler than wearing a stereo headset while driving. Thanks but no thanks.
I've used BT audio with v1.5, and it wasnt for me. i still use it to listen to podcasts via my headset on occasion though.
The nice thing about 1.6 when it was working (mist have been with Faria's ROM) was that I didn't hear my normal phone ringtone through the headset. It rang like normal through my headset, but it would announce the callers name. Its a cool feature.
edit: I must have been wrong. It does divert the ringtone through your headset as well. This gives me hope that I can work somethign out using BTAudio.
Yeah it is a cool feature. You can go to the notification settings in voice command (Settings -> Personal -> Voice Command) and change it so that notifications are done when bluetooth is available (the second radio button). If the notifications cannot sound through your headset, they will come from the phone speaker so you will still be able to hear who is calling without looking at your phone. Doesn't really help if your phone is in your pocket or if you can't hear it, but I guess its the next best alternative.
I have a cooked T-mobile 2.26 ROM and use MS VC 1.6 over my BT205 no problems. I was previously using the original O2 rom and has it working on that too so both an AKU2.0 and an AKU2.3 work fine. To install try this:
remove VC if installed
remove headset pairing
soft reset
create headset pair and leave it switched on
install vc1.6
soft reset
add path string to HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\
i.e. \Program Files\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe
soft reset
then try the button on the headset a few times
Riptos
I'm not having trouble using BT with VC. I want the Incoming call announcements to come over BT.
I installed Farias 3.2 and it worked, but I decided its not a huge deal. I'll try playing around looking at some of teh links here and see if I can't work somethign out. Thanks everyone.
I would also love for voice command 1.6 to announce incoming calls to my bluetooth headset. Interestingly, low battery announcements come through the bluetooth headset, but not incoming calls. Hmmm. Any suggestions/luck getting this to work?

Just wanted to let everyone know I tried it out today and it works as expected. Phone audio gets redirected to BT headset on incoming calls.
but does the ringer get re-directed also? cuz if so thats DAMN ANNOYING!
Well I dont mean to sound condescending to a "senior member" cuz im just a junior but did it cross your mind to select "none" as your ringer? Oh, Btw everyone, your welcome for my fantastic little file
What exactly does the file do???
I had troubles with VC 1.6 at first, but now it seems to work OK. Maybe I accidentally followed Riptos's instructions. Don't know.
Also BTAudio is working to redirect audio when I want that to happen, since VC now closes the audio after it finishes.
The only remaining minor glitch is that after giving a dial command, the little simulated dialing noise comes over the phone speaker not the headphone. So if the phone isn't right by, I don't always know whether it has dialed or not.
Any suggestions?
I tried the CallerID program. It works just as described. The only thing is that is takes up ~443.48 KB at startup. I just installed it so I don't know if it increases after a while.
I have a question. If I understand everything correctly, with a AKU 3.2 ROM this CallerID program isn't necessary if I want to get Incoming Call Announcements over Bluetooth. Right??
Has anyone gotten VC 1.6 to announce incoming calls over a STEREO Bluetooth headset? Seems like the discussions have only been for a hands free device. Anyone?
I don't have a 3.XX ROM and Voice Command notifications work on my stereo bluetooth headset without the program because I think wtih stereo bluetooth, all sound is redirected to the headset. I didn't do anything or change any settings, it just worked. I obviously have the A2DP hack installed, but that's it.

Bluetooth Handsfree problem: answering from the handset

HI all,
I got a t-mobile Vario II and have a plantronics 655 handsfree. I have searched the forum but found nothing that answers my problem.
I want to be able to answer a call from the phone and when the handsfree is paired the sound to come through the handsfree. I have tried a few handsfree kits but none seem to work and all the calls come through the phone until i pull the handsfree out of my ear hit answer n put it back in. Am i missing something? I want to be able to answer a call from the phone and talk through my handsfree. When i make a phone call however from the phone it works fine and the sound comes through the handsfree like it should.
I read something about a handsfree profile...where is that? i don't have a handsfree profile option on my phone. Is it an add-on. I tried the handsfree with my ericsson phone and when u answer from the phone it asks if i want the audio through the handset or the handsfree..
hellpppppp...its driving me madd lol
I Take it no one knows the answer to this or has created a patch? Does everyone answer there phone from the answer button on the bluetooth handsfree then? ??
What you are trying to do, is contrary to the feature designed into your dialer. When you answer the phone call from the phone instead of the connected headset, you obviously wanted to talk via the phone not the headset so that is where it routes the call. You can get it back to the headset after you answered on your phone by selecting the menu option and selecting "Turn Handsfree On".
similar issue
I have an ATT branded 8525, and a Motorola H550.
I'm using the built in voice dialer, as I really don't feel like shelling out any more money for voice commander, when I'm paying for the spb products I have (pocketplus, mobile shell, and phone suite).
With other phones, I could use the phone (by hand) to dial a number, while wearing the BT headset, and it would automatically put the conversation on the phone.
This doesn't.
Also, when I receive a call, I don't get the ringtones I have selected for specific callers, just a generic beep.
Morgan
That issue is actually unrelated. The issue that arnie_ahu has is trying to do something differently than the phone design. However, your issue is a real issue. Dialing on the phone and pressing call should send the call to the headset if it is connected properly. The ony conclusion I can think of is that it is not connected properly as a headset.
In my experience, this is Bluetooth device specific. When I use my Jawbone, I can answer on the phone and the conversation will be on the Jawbone. However, if I use a Plantronics 320 and answer on the phone, the conversation will be on the phone.
The reason why I answer using the phone instead of using the Bluetooth headset is out of courtesy to the caller. For some reason, when I answer with a Bluetooth device, the caller hears a very loud sound that is reminiscent of a fog horn. I have experienced this with multiple phones and headsets. I am guessing this is related to the Bluetooth handshake.

It may be (for me) because I am using mp3 ringtones on a mono earpiece.
From what I have found on line, that won't work with WM5, which sucks, because it worked on my old piece of crap nokia 6230.
Why oh why must this be so hard?
Now I have to try and convert the mp3 ringtones I made from full songs to something the phone will use.

VC 1.6 and Bluetooth, revisited...

Hi Again,
RE: the old Voice Command issue with the Touch....When I am using my bluetooth, I hit the call button on the earpiece and get the tone. I say, for ex., "call home", and get the usual voice response, "Call Home?", to which I respond yes. Then i just get the end tone. It doesn't dial the number. Works fine without ther bluetooth. My understanding was VC didn't work at all with BT, but now that I'm this close, I'm wondering if there is a fix...Also, not to beat a dead horse, but anything new on voice notifications, especially Email and appointments. I really miss that from my old BlackJack with VC 1.5....
Thanks all,
Gary
Bluetooth and Voice Command 1.6 work perfectly on my Touch Cruise. (Although, it might be causing an issue with A2DP...I have to investigate to make sure though.). Eitherway, the point of my post was to let you know that VC 1.6 does over bluetooth, with not only commands, but also voice notifications coming over properly. So maybe the problem is your Radio ROM? Have you tried any others? Do the Radio ROMs from the MSM7200 models work for you guys with the MSM7500? If so, the most upto date Touch Cruise Radio ROM could do the trick for you.
Similar problem here.
With my stock touch, VC1.6 works better then with previous devices, but still not 100%.
I can initiate calls by pressing the button on my headset and, unlike devices of the past, notifications can be heard via the headset.
Where I have a problem, is in VC recognizing my response to confirmations. Anotherwords, if I have confirmations turned on for voice dialing, and say "dial Michele at home", VC will come back and confirm "dial Michele at home?". But when I acknowledge and say "yes", it does not recognize this, and times out.
If I turn confirmations off completely, everything works fine.
You can actually hear the confirmations lol? When I tried it I could barely hear the confirmations.
Dew.man,
How do you turn off confirmations? I can see the check boxes for voice enabling, and calendar reminders, but nothing about disabling the confirmations. (I have ver. 1.60.4622, is there a newer one?) Also, (for mindfrost) regarding the volume thru the bluetooth, there is a fix for that which works great. I'm at work and I'd have to look for it, but it is probably on this site . And the ever popular "audiopara" fix works GREAT for all other volume issues. Just drop the folder in the phone's windows directory. It is available on this site as well.

I would love to know the fix for the BT issue, please post.
After months of tweaking (including Jetware, that doesn't even have direct support for Touch), I did finally get MS VC working well on my Touch, even with voice confirmation and all. But it would take out my A2DP stereo capability time and time again. I implemented every other tweak and tip out there. Besides A2DP being unusable, it would also take out being to listen to Sprint TV over a BT headphone, which was a real bummer.
About 3 months ago I finally gave up VC. I had to ask what were my must haves, and they were rock solid A2DP to play my Rhapsody to-go tracks on the memory card with my two BT stereo headphones, and listening to SprintTV over the BT mono or stereo. Voice command was third on the list, and I'd just had to survive with the mickey-mouse voice dialing that came with the Touch... I uninstalled the MS VC for good.
Now everything is rock solid, and I much regret the literally hundreds of hours of my life I wasted on VC, not to mention my $40 bucks.
For those of us who don't use stereo bluetooth.. ie, myself I'd love to know what the fix was for getting the confirmation volume corrected. It'd make voice dialing in noisy places (such as while driving, in airports, etc) a whole lot easier. If anyone in this thread recalls, what was the solution to that?
