Urgent Help needed - Problem with Vario II (Call Ended) - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi guys, ive had my Vario II for roughly two months but have hardly used it until last two days.
Today i used it and it was fine until I was trying to synchronize my contacts from another phone via Outlook onto the Vario.
However the problem is that since synchronizing I am unable to call out or recieve calls.
All i get is "Dialling" and after a few seconds recieve a ping noise three times with a message "Call Ended". I have tried everything but nothing is working.
Btw I am on T-Mobile
Any help would be great cheers.

this seems to be a problem with vario 2 is 3g mode switch to 2g mode and you'll find that it connects and dials every time. I presume this will be fixed when t mobile release a rom upgrade (or if you are adventurous flash to the latest English radio and full rom available on XDA)
to switch to 2g mode easily download bandswitch there is a thread here by Daniel herrero and it works well

JAM as GPRS modem - some problems

hi everyone!
i've seen the same post ealier (~4 weeks ago) but don't found decision in there. So asking for again if somebody already found it.
Problem:
I use JAM as a GPRS modem via bluetooth. After voice call receiving JAM close both bluetooth and GPRS connection. So to contnue my work i have to reconnect manually from laptop
Before JAM i've used different phones by SonyEricsson (from T39) for over 4 years and hadnt never meet with this problem.
I've tried to find somethin that may help to decide this prob in GPRS and bluetooth settings of JAM but nothing
and one more questions:
is any software instead of standart WModem, witch always on and ready to connection without any manual operations like starting Wmodem. Soft making my JAM featured as any simple _ordinary_ phone like SE T610 for example?
thanx in advance for your answers (and sorry for bad english

Weird GPRS problem ???

I seem to have developed a rather strange GPRS problem - hoping someone can shed some light on it !
Had an O2 branded XDA Mini (aka Wizard) for a few months now - all has been working well, push email via Mail2web, and SPB Weather also - both receiving regular updates over GPRS.
A couple of weeks ago O2 decided to send me a new sim - turns out it was a 3G sim (kept the same number / tariff / services etc) and then the problems started
Oh yeah before anyone says anything - I know the XDA Mini is not a 3G handset, but the sim works just fine on 2.5g (GSM).
All of a sudden my email wasn't being pushed to my handset, a quick check with Mail2web confirms all ok at their end .... then I noticed that SPB weather wasn't updating automatically either. Note if I actioned a manual update then it would update (thus proving that GPRS is still functional).
O2 states they have removed no services etc ....
So any idea's ? Why would the 'automatic' updates of both these programs suddenly stop - though work perfectly well manually ? I have removed both programs - soft reset - then re-installed but to no avail
Cheers
Mark

Click to collapse
This happens to me after switching the telefon mode from off to on. the phone itself needs some time until its "ready for use".
Another possible issue is one using a 3G sim card in a 2G phone. has happened to me with a prophet. Changed to an old sim card and it worked perfectly. Try changing the sim card to a known 2G and see what happens.
Just switched off the phone in the comm manager (it is an option available to facilitate the PDA usage during the flight journey).
Now my phone is fine and working.
Thanks,
Jakob
Phone not ready
Hi all......
Im a first time poster.....
I have an Imate Jasjam.....
I recently upgraded the ROM and ever since, i keep getting the phone not ready and no matter what i have read in these posts i cant get it to work.....
I have even gone as far as starting over from the original ROM and now the original ROM shows the same problem.
Its really annoying not beingn able to reply to msgs im getting and even worse, not being able to modify the setting in my phone to disable call forwarding to my voicemail.
I have the FCW Home HD ROM installed and have tried upgrading the radio, but fail everytime.... im guessin im using th ewrong one so if anyone knows an up to date radio i can install it would be good....
Please help !
I think you are posting in the ROM forum. Are you sure you have a Charmer cause I don't know the ROM you tell us.

problem connecting to Network

Hi,
my prophet denies to connect to my service Provider (O2 germany) out of a sudden. It will connetct at startup for ca 1 Minute and then loose the Network.
I had the "Gullum Prophet touch some version before X" running for several weeks and then it stopped connecting. I just used it and did no installations or hackings.
The sim card works fine with an other phone and vice versa other sim cards don`t work with the prophet.
I've flashed the "Gullum Prophet touch X" and the Problem is the same.
Any Ideas? thx
I have the same problem too, tried all downgrade and upgrade options but no solution yet,any help appriciated tx.
Have you tried a different Radio ROM (the Wiki!), or altering the settings in Start->Settings->Connections (tab)->Connectons to those specific to your service provider?
similar problem
Not exactly the same - but seems like once a week or so I stop receiving calls and need to restart my PDA. Haven't found a solution yet - just something I started getting used to. It usually happens after a nightly charge.
My only suggestion would be radio ROM, or a different ROM entirely. (both on the Wiki).
sorry for not responding ...
and thanks for your suggestions. I had downgraded my rom and my Radio to the original shipped ones, but the problem is the same!
At least I had a konversation with my provider, that gave my some hope. She thought it might be a network problem and not a hard- or software failure!
why do I have to call them about 10 times saying the same things?
BUT: this call is 10 days ago and nothing has happend so far.
If there is anything new to tell about, I will post it
so long, dertka

Help neded - no phone despite full signal

Hi
Hope someone can help
I have a Orange SPV M3100, unlocked with HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a and upgrade with HTC_TyTN_WWE_3.54.255.3_6275_1.48.00.10_108
This is how it looks now
I have tried to install other versions and other radio versions but the problem is still the same.
I have full signal, i can use the internet, I can send and receive SMS but i cannot call out or receive calls.
Today I tried to put my SIM card in one of the newer HTC models and everything worked fine.
Anyone having an idea
thanks
Try to change your Rom, i recommend Schaps or TNT.SE and check the forms which Radio to use in your country, though your problem is really weird.
I had the same issue and had to temporarily use an iPHONE !!! AGGHHH !!!! . try to disable the 3G through the Comm Manager. See if that works. it worked for me, made things slow, then after a few hours i decided to try to turn 3G back on, and it worked fine.
I then flashed to a new ROM - but had the same issue again. i did the 3G diable thing and it worked for me.
No real answers here, but give that a try.
