Everything went fine with the ROM upgrade on my Orbit. (German O2 ROM flashed to HTC English ROM successful) Flashed it twice already because it hangs up after trying to change the dialer pad. Don't like that ugly green dialer but I have tried one made for WM5 PC phones and the other I made with a program called "Dialpad Maker Deluxe." The screen will go dark if you touch it...few minutes later, it comes back but goes dark when touched. Had to reflash the ROM twice...not sure this is good for the phone. Anybody had the same problem?

ive got my SPV M700....locked to ORANGE....and ive flashed it as per instructions with various roms...no probs.
only thing is, now when it reboots, whatever rom i use, i have a couple of issues with the display...
keypad wont show up when i press the "phone" button....all i see is a white screen where the keypad should be.
also, when i apply a theme, i only see the bars at the top and bottom of the screen change colour......not the "wallpaper" or "desktop".
no wallpapers or images i add to the desktop show up....
weird, as everything else works....wi fi, GPS..(dependant on rom used), text messaging, all work..
its just that themes and keypad dont show??
can someone PLEASE help me???
if there is anything i can use to basically wipe the lot off, and start again, il give it a go...even re flashed the original orange rom on here.....and the same thing happens.
when it reboots, the orange screen ...(or whatever rom boot screen i use) flashes up.......then where the green windows screen is supposed to show, i get a white screen, followed by the desktop loading....which is also white.....
Upgrade your hard spl to olipro 1.30, and use mtty to format your ppc, in this way you can have a clean flash of yr rom and avoid issues...
for mtty.exe you can find different topics on xda...

I have O2 XDA Mini S, G4 HTC Wizard, but windooze is german version. Can someone help me how can I switch to English version, but safe as possible?
Flash to a new ROM would be the easiest in my opinion. Get ahold of sprite backup, backup all of your programs and such and the flash to a new G4 safe ROM that is either US ENGLISH or WWE.
I am afraid to flash G4 device... When I tried to do HardSPL, something goes wrong... In one moment, screen was white, after that, tux appear on screen, than some vertical green lines and than screen light died... And RUU said that no phone was conected?! I guess i had lucky to restore it to original state...
What do You think about that?

i flashed my blackstone and after reset my phone start with crazy things.
smart mobility are white until in right corner shows version, then smart mobility are some kind of light green color and right after htc logo is like 4or 8bit in winxp safe mode some kind of no nice color, as well as manilla but only till i press power button then again and all colors are fine. when this problem occured i flashed again and again with onkologs superlite flash then with light and after with duttys new one.
sory mine english suck.

Did you use the new HSPL 1.56?
had the same problem with the latest ROM...
Going back to the older ROM worked fine for me...
Just curious if the new HSPL will solve the problem with the new ROM.

Same problem for me but only after I installed the screen hotfix from HTC site. was this the case with you too or have you not installed hotfix?
Just install the new HSPL and you'll be fine.

Hello everyone,
i'm new so i started with the newbie.
All works until i have to use the rom bei Tomme45i. After that i only got a desktop but no buttons and i cant go to system by the start button on the screen, somehow it won't work.
Ok fine i think so i dl the beta9.9.9 by narshorn for my trinity, after one and an half our waiting i finally could install it but after that my trinity freezes short time after starts.
Before using Narshorns rom i got a vodafone pic on the screen by start after using the rom it's a htc-pic then some red letters appear and disappear then nothing more happens.
Maybe someone could help me. It would be so great!

Download the newest version of Narshorn from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=549146 and install it. Works great for me. It doesnt freeze it just takes longer to boot the first time. The htc-pic and leters are normal.

Btw. ickebins always showed me how to boot the bootloade and then install another rom. WM 6.1 works but i didn't find a 6.5 that works on my Trinity :/

I've got a HTC Hermes that won't boot up properly.
I've had a quick search and can't find to find the exact same proble but apologies if this has already been raised.
I previously flashed my T-mobile ROM with RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_1.56.405.5_radio_sign_22.45.88.07_1.27.12.11_Ship.rar.
The problem started when I downloaded a Registry Optimizer from Windows Update. When I started using this my phone was not in airplane mode, and just hangs on the logo screen (this is the gold Tai Edition)
I tried to do a hard reset (this goes to the screen with the four colour bands on it), and then when I reset it again it just switches to the logo screen and stays there. After a while, the screen goes white and stays there
I've got only a basic knowledge of flashing ROMs and when I first flashed my ROM i used Hard SPL and the basic AT&T Windows 6.1 ROM, before using TAI's custom one.
I presume I need to try and re-install the ROM (via the SD card, as Active Sync doesn't recognise the phone)
I was aware of risks whilst using the Registry Optimizer and realise that this is my fault, so I'm not expecting any quick fixes
Would be grateful though if anyone could point me in the right direction, if my phone is recoverable, and not bricked.

You flashed a rom for the Kaiser.... You have a Hermes...
Looks like a brick to me....
If you use the sd card method you might be able to fix BUT make sure its a Hermes rom....
