have a problem with my herald. when there is a reminder coming up, the device just wakes up (display on) but it does not show the event and does not ring. i use pocket plus and spb diary. does anyone have a solution?

I fiddle around with Notification Queue and now the calendar alarm in Pocket Informant (Rev 3) doesn't work anymore. Can anyone help me to make it work again.
And also when I set alarm (by clicking on the date line on Today screen not Calendar) there's no notification to dismiss, it just kept ringing like crazy even soft-reset didn't stop it. Has it got anything to do with NQ?

I have what appears to be a tricky SMS problem. My SMS today screen plugin and phonealarm both show when SMSs come in. However, when I go to Pocket Outlook to view the actual message nothing is there. This seems to have started spontaneously but I have a suspicion that phonealarm could have something to do with in. Any ideas for registry settings to check, etc.?
I have the following problem and am cutious if anybody has the same problem and eventually found solutions?
Sometimes I get multiple reminders for the same alarm. This does not happen for alarms from calender. I get this only from alarms which have been set by the Clocks and Alarms menu. When the time comes it gives me multiple reminders. Sometimes up to five and I nedd to press 5 times Dismiss.
Does nobody have a solution. Is it something to do with the notification queue????. How can I access this qued notification?
i like it this way! this way i will WAKE UP instead of falling back to sleep
you can choose the number of reminders / time between reminders from the settings,
I don't use it though I use pocket music player and Megasoft Pocket Clock
I'm currently getting the same alram non stop with no dismiss option any way tot stop that this is the second time it has happened and the last time I had to hard reset. Fo rnow I have turned off all sounds but still get it vibrating
Any Ideas?

to detect any of the 'alerts' that are bugging you and delete them

Get MemMaid, or Pocket Mechanic, both tools great for sorting out a few problems, one of which is duplicate alarms...
i have a problem with alarms being 1 hour late because the device apears to change its mind about which time zone it's in!

in the jade TF2D Settings there is an option which sets the phone to vibrate when there's an appointment. unfortunately this recognizes every appointment, like birthdays and appointments marked as "free time".
I'm now looking for a tool which lets me specify during which kind of appointment (category, free/occupied,...) the phone should be set to vibrate only. I know such function is included with spb phone suite, but i just want a standalone program, preferably free without any bloat...

this includes:
Email
SMS
Alarms (windows alarms)
notifications for calendar events.
how does i fix?
okay, so try going to: settings - all settings - personal - sounds and notifications. There thick what you want. With the SMS notification while on stand-by, there is a bug which HTC solved (releasing a hotfix - found on htc.com). Tell me if you have any more problems and if you have solved these problems
No calemdar notofocation when the pin is set-up

I have a similar problem. When the phone is on standby and locked (eg. after 15 min) I can not get any calendar notification working.
They all show up when I wake up the phone and enter my code.
The only workaround is to disable the lock, but I need it to be set-up (company policy)
Note that other notifications are ok:
- Call
- SMS (after installing the patch from HTC)
- Alarm

Any progress on this?, I have installed the official htc hotfix for sms, makes no difference for me.
While the sms not notifying is a frustration, I could probably live with it but...
Alarms are the real problem for me... I can't rely on the device as an alarm clock as the alarm simply doesn't sound until I bring it out of standby with the power button.
Any cure for this, is it hardware or software? do cooked roms exhibit same behaviour?

I have the same problem. I have downloaded the fix from HTC, but still my email does not play a sound (the LED flashes though).
I have not checked other things (SMS, alarms etc.)
It would seem VERY silly if the alarm doesn't sound!!!!
For e-mail, you have to go and turn on the notification for that in the sounds and notifications settings,
Settings-->All Settings-->Personal-->Sounds and Notifications-->Notifications-->Event:Messaging: New e-mail message
And select it to play a sound of your choosing.
it is not switched on by default, in this case that is good for me, if I got a notification alarm every time I got a new e-mail, my phone would be sounding alarms pretty much all the time....
The alarm problem not waking from standby, I have posted in another thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544112 a possible cure, working for me for 2 days at least...
