Impossible to put the phone in silent mode while ringing ?!? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi,
I have a very annoying problem. When someone is calling and I don't want to pick up the call there is no option to put the Hermes in silent mode !!!
Even when I change the volume to "Off" the phone still rings !!!
Only options I have are "Accept" / "Reject".
Please if anybody knows a solution to work around this problem, let me know.
Thanks a lot
Bukshi

If u press jogdial towards downwards when somebody calls u then it will silent the ringer !

Thanks vijay_kumar
It works !!!

I'm using AE Button Plus and have redirected the jog buttons (volume sliders) to be up and down, but that has resulted in not being able to use the jog buttons (volume sliders) to silence the incoming phone call as mentioned above. I've tried all variations of the "Restore volume slider" options in AE Button Plus - but nothing has restored this "silence ringer" option. If anyone knows of a workaround or registry hack or whatever, please let me know.

I have the same problem as Xilicon, I use AEbutton and I tried all sort of settings to be able to put my Hermes silent when it is ringing (I don't want to reject the phone call). NO success
Does anyone know a another way to put the Hermes silent workaround ?

Setting TyTN to siloent mode/ringer off

On my imate kjam, in order to set silent mode quickly, all I had to do was to hold down the left comm manager button for a few seconds and I would be in silent mode. I have tried everything with the TyTN, even depressing the scrolling button, etc... but I can not get anything to work. DOes anyone know which key depression will place the phone in silent mode ?
Ringer Off/On Button
Hi there,
There is a free progam called VibraSwitch which you can set to any button (I have my OK button set)
If you install this you will be able to switch easily between Ringer On and Ringer Off with Vibrate On quickly and easily.
If you can't find the program let me know and I'll email you the .cab file.

I screwed up! Volume slider not working...Is smartskey the solution?

Hi there. I opened up my Wizard (thinking I was ultra-cool) to fix a keyboard problem that I have been having (in landscape mode, the touch-screen doesn't work)...
After doing this, I landed up with a second problem. The volume slider doesn't work. Now, I can't scroll but more importantly, I can't mute calls (aka silence incoming calls, put the ringer off)
Whats the alternate solution? After several hours of research, I'm thinking this is the possibility. I can use a program like smartskey and re-assign the mute functionality to another button like the END button. For example, if a call comes in, the first time I hit END, it will silence it and the second time I hit END, it will ignore the call. Is that possible?
Please help. I am totally dependent on my wizard for EVERYTHING!

Turn ringer off on incoming call

Hey guys,
I have htc touch with wm6 and need to turn ringer off (not reject call) on incoming call. The volume button on left side of pda is quite uncomfortable to use, therefore i think better solution is small program, that switches ringer mute on/off.
Can anybody write such small program for me,that will write needed value to registry (if needed - i can find which one), or tell me how and where(which program language, enviroment etc) write the code at leaset
Thanx!
if you press and hold button 4 (comm manager) often it will put the phone into silent (vibrate) mode

options when receiving a call

Hi all,
When I receive a call I have 2 options on the touchscreen: "answer" and "reject" a call... a friend of mine who has also the HTC dual touch has on his screen besides the "answer" also a "silent" button which allows the incoming call to continue but disables the ringtone.
Anyone any idea if this is a registry setting or something? If my friend pushes the red (HW) button then he also rejects the call.
Cheers
Berre
if you press the volume up or down button on the side of the phone that will put into silent whilst ringing
Hi,
I don't find those buttons easy to press so I would really like that "shortcut" on the touchscreen...
Some versions seem to have it and mine doesn't so this should be SW related or registry setting... anyone?
Cheers
Berre
found it
HKLM/Software/HTC/PHONE/PhoneExtendedSettings/RejectEnable
Change it from 0 to 1 and it works
Cheers

[Q] Not working vibration on incoming call

A few days ago I bought a Omnia 2. I put some useful programs and everything was OK.
Today I noticed, that when someone calls me, it doesn't work vibration. Generally vibration works, ex. when I touch the screen. It works even as I get a text message. SR does't help. Uninstalled all installed programs - doesn't work. After the HR, it works. I threw a backup - doesn't work. I found a program VAlert, but on the Omnia's probably not working. What could it be and how to fix it?
I use phonealarm pro and enable call vibrate. Vibrates once when the call is connected and twice when the call ends. no need to hold call up to ear while dailing.
No Viberation Soultion
i beleive i have a soluton for ur vibration prblm
all u need to do is
>first put ur phone in silent mode by presssing and holding '#' button or by clicking the volume buttn and selecting silent mode.
>once in silent mode press the volume button and then increase thevolume from 0 to 5 without switching to normal mode.
> ur problem is fixed...
solution:
1)select vibro mode
2)increase system and call volume from 0 to 5
3)select normal mode and enjoy=)
