Split screen, see two applications on today screen together! - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

I wish to see a pocket excel file and pocket word doc on the same screen, so I can write down on my in word while I can still see whats in excel.
With out having to switch ( top and tail ) between two applications, I want to see both at the same time. Just like a windows desktop, were you can split applications and view two windows at once.
Is there any tool or way one can do this ?

I >think< the old task manager BananaPC could do it, but it doesn't look like it anymore:
http://www.snoopsoft.com/other/bananapc.html
There used to be one taskmanager that would kind of let you do it, but I haven't seen it for a long time.
VJSihaya was written to let me do stuff like this, but it's not publically released yet, and won't be for quite a while to come.

Vijay,
Very nice. Looking forward to it.
I also checked out your web site. Lots of good programs. What emulator are you using?
Cheers!

calculon (a Futurama fan?) Which emulator are you referring to?

Vijay,
Sorry for not being more specific. I was referring to the Windows Mobile emulator. Is that what you use to test your programs?

I use the emulator in Visual Studio, but also test directly on my Universal in VGA and Magician for QVGA/WM2003.

Smaller icons or list under Start->Programs etc.

Is there a way to make the icons unde Start->Programs, Start->Settings etc., smaller and/or display in a list like in Windows on a PC ?
Maybe a 3rd party program or a setting on the device itself?
Thanks
Anyone ?
GSPocketMagic makes the start menu list all apps in cascading menus much like Windows XP does. If you have more apps listed than fit on the screen you have scoll through them and it's rather slow to get to those at the bottom if you have a long list. In landscape mode I've gotten pretty quick launching apps using the keyboard - Windows key - [P]rograms - then type the first letter of the program you want to laucnh and it takes you to the first program that starts with that letter, keep pressing that letter and it will cyle through all of them, hit enter and the program will launch.
I find this method to be much quicker than scrolling through a long list of programs.
Thanks, I'll check out GPSPocketMagic and try your system.
Is it the start menu, or the programs explorer you wanted small?
This is possible:

Shortcuts on today screen

I've tried to search but can't find how to, or what prog is needed to show a bunch of program shortcuts on the today screen, like the XDA dev special edition rom 1.2for PPC, which has many icons in a block.
Also does anyone know if the XDa-dev program 'welcome.exe' will run on Xda2i? Or anythng similar which cuts out the stupid cut and paste thing etc on hard reset?

roms cant be shared between smartphones and pocketpc's
and nor can today screen items
but people could program that for pocketpc's but they would have to do it from scratch

Creating a simple Calendar App - need help

Dear bros,
I'm having the Diamond, and a number of owners including me are not happy abt the number of appointments shown in the front page of the touchFlo3D.
Therefore, I have decided to create a small app that will open up in a small window (or a nice background) and will display all upcoming appointments regardless of which day it falls on.
This function is very similar to O2plus plugin as you can see in one of my older today screens:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The thing is, I plan to use VB.net but I'm kinda lost. *please don't flame me on this.. just asking help
I've used the classic VB for windows apps long time ago and I've lost touch. I'd really appreciate if someone could help me with the code, just to display the next appointment or something. I'll build it up from there.
Here's an example in C# which I can't get it to work:

I've got all the tools needed: VB.net 2005, WM6 SDK, etc.
Thanks once again!
Cheers.

Big Finger help required!

Hi, i've been the owner of a windows mobile phone for only a short while now, but one thing i noticed is the querty keyboard.
Now the point is, i have realy big fingers ( ) so i cannot hit all keys well enough.
Recently my girlfriends sister got a new phone which has a default(see the pic) numeric type keyboard but on touchscreen.
What i was wondering, is there anything like it for windows mobile?
I am running windows mobile 6.1 by the way
Seems im not yet allowed to use images or links in my posts, just remove the space between h & ttp
