Does anyone no of a wm5 application that when the sim card is changed it texts the telephone number of the new sim card to a predefined telephone number? Even better if it could be stored in memory somewhere.

does IIWPO work on wm5?

Caller ID Telus p4000

Hey Guys,
I have a weird question, i have a p4000 from telus in canada and i DONT have caller ID. Telus charges a ridiculous fee for it.
However when i go the caller id screen i can see the numbers of my calls for like 1/2 a second then it goes blank. This is enough that i can get my last call anyways.
Is there any way to completely unlock this via software that anyone knows??
My Telus bill is about $180/mo. (For my HTC Titan & my wife's RAZR V3c.)
...
*sob*
i think mine is 100 or so for the p4000 and the touch.

I agree on the price gouging. I stripped everything off my P4000 plan months ago. No data, no CID, no voicemail, everything except a 20$/month calling plan. I didn't do this because I don't need the features, quite the contrary. But it's my way of protesting the horrible monopoly we're stuck with in Canada. ****em, they're not getting access to my wallet until they match Sprint's unlimited data, unlimited text and 500 minutes for 30$ a month. [/END RANT]
Now, what do you mean by the "caller id screen"? Maybe there is way to hack it but I'm not sure what you're referring to.
I'm referring to the screen you get when you are at the phone screen and you press the button named: Call History
I couldn't find a shot of it in its default state but here is what it looks like if you have the contact photos addon:

Turn Your Old Android Into a Kid Safe Device

Turn Your Old Android Into a Kid Safe Device
Last week was my sons birthday party. He turned six so I decided he was old enough to receive a tablet as a present. I'd rather pry my fingernails off than drop a couple hundred bucks on the kid so I figured I'd just hook him up with my old Android tablet that I don't use anymore. He loved it! Skip three weeks ahead and he's racked up $500 in Play store charges and somehow managed to purchase a mail-order bride...
So before you hand down your old Android devices to the younglings, here are some precautions you should take to make sure that it's child-proof.
Factory reset
Obviously you're going to want to get all of your files off of there just to be safe. Do a back up and then factory reset. Don't forget to wipe that internet storage as well!
Start a new Gmail account
Even if you lock your tablet down nice and tight you don't want to risk the chance of you child being able to access your gmail or any accounts associated with it. So start by creating a throwaway account that isn't connected to any payment methods or phone numbers. Create the account on your desktop to bypass the phone verification requirement.
Remove any SIM card wipe APN settings
Pop out any SIM card that may be in there just in case there is any service attached to it. Wipe the APN settings to be sure there wont be a mobile data connection. You should also know that on both CDMA and GSM phones, even if they don't have service on them they can still dial 911. You can block out the dialer app with a custom launcher.
Install a custom launcher
Now install a custom launcher to limit the applications that your child will have access to. There are plenty to choose from and lots of great options. Here are a few of the most popular.

Kid's Shell - kids mode
Kids Place - Parental Control
Kids Space Launcher
Buy a tough case
Now just head over to Amazon and buy a case that will withstand the abuse of a kid. Children will find a way to turn anything into a weapon.
Now you can rest easy knowing that your kid can't get into any trouble on their tablet.

Can't tell from the video's software can easily be faked + theres very little showiong apart from boot :S very suspicious...
are these video's the facebook guys videos?
easiest way to check
Ask for the IMEI number ( and not just a number... ask for proof of the IMEI on the device Screen&back of the device)
TIP - The IMEI is in settings - about device - status - IMEI information
its a 15 digit code.
and then check it here http://www.imei.info/
that will tell you what phone it is.
Failing that get him to upload pictures of each side of the device.(the device looks are a big give away if fake) the IMEI should be on the back of the phone anyway
as you can see here -

however i would not reccomend buying a phone from anywhere apart from official dealers
too many scams involved its just not worth the discount.
If you have to ask the question, then it's probably already a bad decision.
Also if it's a stolen phone IMEI will show valid till carrier shuts it down so make sure u know the person or can hold him accountable
AndroIDentity is an app that can tell the real ID of a device. If run on a fake phone it will not be recognized as a genuine one, and if the fake is on its database, it will tell what the real manufacturer and model it is. Besides, it also identifies several other hardware and software parameters (such as the presence of Knox, JAva VM runtime, memory, screen size, and several other parameters) that will also help identifying if the device is Genuine or not. AndroIDentity recognizes 15,950 devices.

SOLVED [sm-g95ou] Default lock screen // cannot get past // not FRP // please help

I switched from sprint to T-Mobile. They screwed up and let us keep our old phones and did a discount for the hassle. I figure I don't need 2 S8's so I would just sell it. Welcome to my nightmare.....
So I factory reset the phone to get all my data off, I did this through the settings menu. No issues the phone reset. It was at the beginning new phone screen so I just left it.
The phone is at a password screen and I have maybe 5 passwords at most that I use various combos of, none of these work. I do some searching online and find out how to get into certain menus and do resets, and re-flash the stock rom. Even after those it wants a password.
I then think I'll just use find my phone with google and unlock it. Well it is a sprint phone and I have T-Mobile now so it has no connection, and I can't get past the password to get to the wifi settings. So google says it can't find my phone.
I contact Samsung and since it’s been less than a year they say they will help. I send in the phone and they send me it back with the crack on the back of the phone fixed and nothing else. I called and they said they have record of me asking for help with a password problem. I then ask if I can send it back and get that taken care of and they said it would cost 150$ because they fixed the phone......huh?
I really just want this password off the phone. At this point it’s a matter of I am more curious about finding a way to get it off the phone than selling it. I’m also open to all ideas. Taking it apart, flashing something third party on it.
If you need pictures I will get them up shortly. Or a video. At work currently, so I can probably reply in a timely manner. If you need more info please ask and I’ll try and get whatever you need
Thanks in advance

fixed!!!!!!!!!!
I chose not to connect to the wireless network after setting it up and there are no longer any locks....no idea what that was about.

This is my first Windows phone experience but have tried to run the phone through WDRT which has nothing for the phone. With WPI I was able to switch the 950 to mass storage mode and make a backup. I tried flashing the phone with a similiar .ffu but the app crashes. Windows 7 reports the phone to have a total size of 16.1 gb while WPI says it has 29.1 gb. I'm unable to access many default apps or features like the store or setting and am unable to sign-in to my MS account. I can sign into my wifi though the phone keeps tipping me that I have no connection.
I am able to mess with a bunch of settings with the app zDebugMenu but really don't have much to go on as I haven't found anything related to the product code of this phone. I'm hoping I didn't buy an overpriced paper weight and can get win 10 to run on it. Thanks.
I been gone since about this post and still no responses? It can only be logically concluded then that you Masters of Microsoft phones are still in awe over this rarest of Lumia 950 unicorns. Understandable. Perhaps some of you are of a nefarious spirit and take dark pleasures in the thought of this one of a kind find just sitting there like an over engineered paper weight in the hands of a disparaged Microsoft Phone noob out of his element. Understandable. But for me it has lead to a a sense of desperation and being powerless to finally getting chores done having all but lost the skill to phone procrastination due to the Lumias absence from my daily routine. Not sure how long I can take mobile estranged life. I'm literally learning the long lost ancient ways of floor tile counting during bathroom breaks that our forefathers use to tell us of how hard life was in their days. Please someone for the sake of Billy Gatez tell me what i can do to get you to help me to help myself out of this unholy senseless analog hell. Or Steve Jobs will visit you in your sleep.
