If you looked at these files with another file explorer like gsfinder or total commander you would see that most have vol extension. They are important database files for the running of the device - e.g. pim.vol = pim database info, mxip_notify.vol is notify queue file. Language data, system data etc... do not delete them they are important for the running of the device.

I want to delete/remove/reset the Program history of the last used programs which is displayed in the startmenu below the userdefined icons.

Where is the list saved? in the registry? I mean, it HAS to be saved somewhere . Othwerwise it would be some kind of magic
Thank you for any answer!
its under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TaskSwitch
I use Resco Registry Editor to delete them, after you have to do a soft-reset
I use the utlity called Tweaks2k2 Net ..its a nice program and also it has more tweaks like changing the layout of the keyboard etc....
Thank you very much!
I normally use Total Commander to edit the registry, but I will have a look at the tools you mentioned.
Thanks again.

A lot of people seem to be looking for the files, particularly on Buzzdev.net. Can one of the originators put them back up? I'll host them for you if you want!
For now, these are the ones I used. I don't think they're quite the most up to dates, but better then nothing:

Please read the original VGA threads for what each does.

delete file from windows folder?

I have htc mogul 6800 from sprint and would like to delete bubblebreaker.exe from windows folder so I or my family members can't access it again. It kills our lots of time.
I tried from tom's blog but it does not help.
Thanks.
in notepad on pc create a dummy file called bubblebreaker.exe. Now rename bubblebreaker.exe file that already exists in windows directory to something else and place the file you created in windows directory. Delete the original file and you should be good to go.
Haven't tried this but i am pretty sure this will work. Let me know how it turns out.
An addiction to Bubble Breaker = New Thread???????

Try to delete them from Program Files if u instaled on Internal Storage it doesn't work u must Hard reset your phone...
If the icons you wish to remove are from deleted programs you may try the following:
Search MyDevice->ApplicationData->HTC->ProgLauncher. There you find the icons as *.bmg-files, then you can delete them

No one has an idea ???!!!???
Hey!
Why application? I copy pim.vol from device to Internal storage or computer before hard reset. Then after it just return pim.vol to device and it restore contacts, favorites, log of calls and speed dial. PimBackup I use only to restore sms and mail messages.
Good luck
