Screen Alignment and "Green Spot Issues" - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi all. Has anyone experienced the issues sggested in the following article by the site administrator for Pocket PC Addict? It indicates that early produced units had screen alignment issues, and some had a green spot on the screen.
Also can those that have purchased in the US also advise whether they have units with serial numbers above HT 631xxxxx. The article suggests that these problems are not evident in units above this serial number.
Thanks.

Supposedly some have. I haventh had any problems myself.
There are a few problems post on the general forums.
Very easy to find using the search function......

Thanks for the reply and I have seen those posts. I am really interested to find out whether serial numbers higher than 630xxxxx have made it to the USA yet. Naturally only members in the USA are likely to be able to answer that.
Have a great day.

Does anyone know what form these alignment issues take, in detail? I have a UK Vodafone v1605 which has the serial number HT626XXXXX and I can reproduce screen alignment issues by turning on clear type, and trying to scroll through the list using the scroll bar in the remove programs applet.

There was a video on youtube or on google or somewhere, I forget.
But on the video person demonstrated the aligment issue by tapping a letter on the virtual keyboard, every so often the keyboard showed the letter next to the letter he was pressing to be pressed. Confusing, but I hope you get the idea.

Video is here:

Not a green spot on the screen...
The "Green spot" means a newer series of devices that have a round green sticker on (i think the bottom of) the box. Supposedly screen alignment issues on these devices are rare.

i have the 628 and jusst started experienceing this problem in the last 2 days for some reason. within that time ive noticed the device freezing and locking up as well. wtf

Yep, that's exactly the issue I have been seeing, except mine is consistent. The guy on the video was getting the misalignment every 5/6 presses whereas mine was everytime. I've noticed in my case that it's much worse with clear type on as well.

All interesting comments. The reference to the "Green Spot" in the URL I posted to start this thread actually refers to "a splotch of green from the screen", so that to me does not sound like "a green sticker" as suggested by Stefan above. I might be wrong though.
Of three suppliers that I have called none have confirmed that they have any units with Serial numbers above HT 630xxxx, and some have gone so far as to state that HTC have not made any units with S/N above that number. Can anyone else comment on that?

The article suggests that these HT 630xxxx devices were supplied as replacements to the asian users with issues.

Here's a picture of the Green Spot I thought it was all about....:
http://www.tytn.info/wiki/images/0/0d/Little_green_spot.jpg

I guess it all in the way one reads the article, and I suspect that the author's first language is not English. However it reads:
"And we also found devices with S/N after HT630XXXXX.... would be better. Since we believe they are the "real new ones", and S/N before that, just "rework" ones. The firs bunch of "guinea pigs" in Taiwan got S/N HT624 & HT625, which might have serious alignment problem. Then HTC started to release the "little green spot" version, which has S/N HT630, for changing."
The first sentence appears to indicate units with S/N "after" HT630 are recommended. It maybe that these were supplied as replacements, but I'm not sure it actually says that. The English is a little difficult to interpret on whether S/N 630 is considered fine.
I have read that HTC did actualy admit to problems with the originally released units, so I'm certainly leaning towards waiting to purchase until a supplier can confirm the S/N is above 630.

yep, but i've read some opinions about devices with sn 630xxxx that do have problems too. i have sn627xxxxx and have no problems so far.
there is a bit of luck involved when you buy one.

More than likely there's an issue with all the devices but it's only apparent with a certain cocktail of applications or uses.

The Vario II and M3100 have only been out for days, so I feel that this is clouding the issue and it is correct that this is likely a generic issue.

My TyTN has a serial starting with HT630XXX and I see the problem intermittently as well...

For what it's worth, I've had a 626 for 2 weeks and haven't had any screen alignment issues as yet...
[crosses fingers, touches wood, rubs a rabbit's paw etc]

Must admit since reducing my today plugins to the minimum and assigning the close button from Pocket Plus to the Voice Speed dial button, the device has been rock solid and very responsive! 8)
I'm now wondering if the issues are due to people not closing down their apps correctly. The reason I say this is when I installed O2 plus this morning the screen simply refused to align. I was on the screen alignment utility for four attempts prior to aligning.
Could anyone who has issues with alignment state if they use a proper close app like the one from SPB Pocket Plus or Magic button or just use the OK button?

Hi, I am experiencing the same screen alignement issues on my 4 day HTC TyTN. This seems to be a general bug.
My serial number is HT628....
The question is: is it hardware, or firmware problem?

Joe

TyTn / Vario II / M3100 / Trion screen alignment issue

From number of forums I been trough on different web sites my belief is that all the Hermes units have alignment issues.
I think some users use the device very lightly so the alignment issue does not show or some users might not trigger the conditions that cause this problem.
I base this on a fact that some people get the issue after 2 weeks and some get it after day or 2.
Also people who I know that have re-ordered their units, still have alignment issues with new units.
Hermes device builds seam to have the same build issues over and over again:
1. Alignment issue
2. Camera is misaligned to the body of the phone
3. Keyboard only clicks once when closed.
4. Keyboard button problems
There some common hypothesis to the cause of the issue:
1. Tightened screws below the screen (yahh)
2. Digitizer problem
3. Heath from the battery
4. Rubber underneath the screen too thick
REQUEST:
Can anyone after re-aligning the screen can reproduce the alignment issue?
The issue 1:
After some use the screen alignment offsets for 2-3mm to the left.
The issue 2:
After some use the screen alignment offsets for 1cm to the left.
If we can reproduce this problem we might be able to force HTC to provide TyTn's units that actually work.
Forgot to say I am on my second Vario II 632 Series
hmmm, had mine for over 3 weeks now....used it ALOT (went on holiday with the thing) and i aint had any issues AT ALL with it.
If there were issues with ALL the hermes devices they would have been recalled. Besides its seems unlikely there is a fault with both the HERM100 and 200 models!?

Try to use it like a laptom modem with 3g... In this way I reproduced the issue
....done.....still fine.
Checked by using the character recogniser in Word. The line was perfectly lined up with the stylus, across the entire screen.
Since you can only reproduce this by using as a modem that WOULD suggest a software issue???
Have we ruled out that this could be a software issue?????
Just so u know my TyTN is not locked to ANY network and has a serial number starting HT628.
I did notice in several forums that people having HT628 series claim that they do not have any screen issues.
Can anyone who has HT628 series Hermes confirm that they have screen alignment issue.
have a htc hermes since 6 weeks, serial no. 628. I heavyly use it every day. Had no serious problem until yesterday. (only anoying problem was that bluetooth is switching off after some hours without any reason)
But now this fuc... alignmentproblem started on my device too! The fairy-tale that only older devices get this problem is simply not true.
Shall I ask for replacement too?
even 635 is having alignmnet issue..
I had a 628 series and now a 630 series... never seen a screen alignment issue!
CHT9000 623XXX has screen alignemnt problem and camera flash
not working, but the screen problem seems to become more predictable.
I can usually conjure this problem when using power-draining features such as 3G or WLAN. Also, on multiple occasions loudpseaker activity has forced the issue.
I thought about static electricity but since the location of the problem seems to be confined to the right edge of the screen is seems improbable.
I guess it boils down to understanding the technology behind it to include or rule out contributing factors.
Any Sparkys around who could enlighten us?
HTC hardware fault
Good Afternoon,
There are now procedures in place for fixing the Screen alignment issue with the TyTN devices. This is a hardware issue that we have identified and we are offering a replacement to owners of affected devices with two conditions.
1: The device must be returned with all accompanying accessories.
Everything that was in the box when you bought the device must be in the box when you return it.
2: The device must be a Genuine HTC Badged device. This means that the device cannot be a Vodafone v1605, an O2 XDA Trion, a T-Mobile Vario II or any other device based on the TyTN, but that is not actually a TyTN. For these devices, you must contact the Network/Reseller for further advice on this issue.
If you meet these two provisions, you may contact your nearest repair centre to arrange the swap. Please place everything back into the original box and arrange to have the device picked up. It will then be tested to confirm that it has the problem, and then it will be swapped for a replacement unit.
If you are unable to return everything, you will be eligible for a repair under the warranty. For this also, you can contact your nearest repair centre to arrange this.
Your nearest repair centre is as follows:

Auto alignment using Mortscript

am trying to write a script, using mortscript so that it'll perform the screen alignment automatically. So far i can only get to the stage where it'll get to the screen alignment, where i'd then have to use the stylus to get the screen aligned.
Was hoping for more inputs from others as to how we can resolve this.
This is what i have so far:
<script>
run \windows\screen.lnk
WaitForActive "Settings",5
MouseClick "Settings",170,160
Sleep 100
GetWindowText 20,20
MouseClick"Settings",120,160
<This portion onwards does not work>
Sleep 100
MouseClick"Align Screen",20,20
<end script>
the error i get is reading back the Windows text, presumably because its not a window.
would appreciate any tip.
For simulation purposes, you'll have to create the lnk as such (JIC)
<link>
20#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,7?\windows\cplmain.cpl,-5080
<end link>
Thanks in advance
Wow...I am so exciting about this... Let's god make this workkkk
Maybe you can just write a script to over-write the regitry values, since the actual calibration values are in the registry. The location is
\HKLM\Hardware\DeviceMap\Touch\CalibrationData (string)
There are five sets of values with a space between each set:
1st - Centre
2nd - Portrait Top Left
3rd - Portrait Bottom Left
4th - Portrait Bottom Right
5th - Portrait Top Right
The sets of values are measured from the Top Right with the first value being across, second being down (i.e. -x, -y). Ever since making a backup of a set of "good" values I have been over-writing the current values with that. Maybe all we Hermes users can compare our values and see if the screens are really that inconsistant. Mines are:
491,525 732,229 726,817 239,810 246,226
502,524 770,224 777,810 242,807 242,225
530,513 765,228 761,809 274,800 277,217
wouldn't it be much easier to replace your hardware? This is a known issue, and HTC is swapping the bad units out...

I have heard this but is there anything in writing? I sent mine back (vendor) for screen alignment and they can not duplicate the issue - go figure
I know a guy in Taiwan who sent his CHT9000 back but got it returned without any replacement in hardware, Taiwan CHT (telco) simply flashed a newer ROM and hard-reset. There are numerous debate on whether this is a hardware issue or a software one, in my case it seems to be software.
First I tried a suggestion on this forum to loosen the two screws on the back, didn't help. Then tried the 'tape to shield magnet trick' under the keyboard, didn't help either. Then changed the unit and even tried the Dopod 838Pro/Dopod CHT9000/O2 trion, all had the same problem after a week of use. Lastly flashed the CHT9000 to the 838pro ROM posted on the FTP, also didn't help.
When I started to play around with the calibration data and manually playing around with the numbers, everything seems fine and has been running for about a week now without any problems.

I did - over the weekend. 3:20 Tuesday afternoon and no response yet.
It doesn't make sense for you to contact HTC directly. They are not set up for enduser support, and they don't know you from a hole in the wall. It's not at all surprising that you haven't heard anything... chances are you won't... ever!
Your best bet is to go through the reseller from whom you bought the phone. They're the ones that can easily facilitate any exchanges and/or service....
This is why picking the right supplier is so important!

Hi,
I already posted this in another thread. I wrote to HTC and got a response rather quickly. They wrote:
Good Morning,
We are aware of issues with the touchscreen losing alignment on a few early batches of TyTN devices. This does appear to be a hardware issue which has been solved and no longer appears on the devices.
Obviously, we have no way of controlling how long a device is stocked before it is sold, either by our distribution channel, or in the case of network devices, how long the networks take to customise their devices before releasing them.
As the device you have ordered is an O2 XDA Trion, any warranty would be with O2 and not with HTC. I would suggest that if you are unlucky enough to get one of the devices that does suffer from this issue, simply return it to the retailer or O2 for a replacement.
As the device is an O2 Trion rather than an HTC TyTN, I am afraid I will have to refer you to O2 for future support on the device. We do not currently support network devices due to the legal agreements in place over the customisation of their devices.
Best regards,

This is a strange problem to say the least.
Had M3100 for a month
first two weeks no screen issues
then a 24 hour period or so where realignment as needed every time the device was turned on
then ok for a week
then 2 days of frequent realignments again
now ok for 3 days
I hope you can get this script to work, although my latest sure way of realignment is to go into standby
run my finger around the perimeter of the screen, power on - sorted!!
mine is:

dhave attached installation cabs that will auto configure the screen alignment by inserting the above string in. I do hope that this is global.
Could some test the attached zips to see whether you're alignment runs.
Thanks.
If not so, do inform us, and to resolve the issue, goto \programs\mortscript\ and open ScreenAlignReg.mscr in a text editor.
Now just insert your values at the end of the first line (don't forget the inverted commas .
In anycase, please do a backup before trying this. Hate to be the one that cause your device to fail
Have noticed that the device will not boot up once the reg keys are inserted this way. Have to HR. Have since changed the syntax abit, but still to no avail. Does anyone else have this issue.
*EDIT* tried this script with a clean system. After the writeback was done, i reset and i couldn't get out of the boot phase. Had to HR. As such, am deleting the zip and would recommend that we refrain from using this method.
With reference to Post #1, if anyone can enlighten me on what the Window text is for the Screen Alignment, i can set the keytaps, to simulate recalibration.
The attached zip contains ver 0.2, a stopgap.
Instead of writing directly to registry in mortscript, am now (thanks Gohyc for the idea) rewriting via a .reg file. The "cal.reg" file will be installed in \programs\mortscript\. You can edit the .reg file to include your "figures"
Major limitations, it requires Resco File Explorer, and will run correctly only in portrait mode.
But for those of us who have it works fine. Stable and reliable.
Meanwhile for the mortscripters,
1. could someone tell me the Window Text for Screen alignment is.
2. don't think there's anything wrong in the syntax below:
RegWriteString HKLM,HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH,CalibrationData,"511,520 765,234 759,799 250,806 "
much appreciated
*Version 0.2.1 has been uploaded. Script now has longer delays, and thus far runs more true. (these delays unnoticeable by the end user).
cal.reg file included contains this key:
CalibrationData="491,516 756,221 757,805 233,801 236,220 "

I tried this strange but beautifully simple method today and so far it has worked great.
Thanks Daddyo!
had a screen misalignment.
Since i've mapped it to a keypress, once run, i had to turn off my device for about 20sec, before everything was realigned.
Do notice that sometimes the wait is not enough and it won't auto dismiss itself.
I have since increased the time out delay. For those brave souls that have tried this script, do you have the same problem. Do you need me to increase the timeout.
Am awaiting any feedback. Thanks
Day two after doing Daddyo's finger lap method and alignment problem has not recurred.
My problem had gotten progressively worse to the point where I was re-calibrating several times a day but so far, rock solid.
Could this be static-related?
HTC insists it is hardware as in this message from them:

Start menu /Touch Screen flipping out

I search the forums and couldn't find any info
My screen is havin g issues where it seems as though something is constantly tapping on the top right conner.
In Portrait:
as soon as I open an it is immiediatly closed.
Landscape:
The start menu flips out and opens and closes as if you were tapping on it as fast as humanly possible.
Anyone see this?
Its really pisses me of because this is my 3rd replacement Hermes and its only 4 days old!!!!!
mikechannon is generally the total guru on this stuff, His website is a good place to look as he might have mentioned it.
I dont see anything on screens
Looks like I'll have to send this one back too
Some much BS this my third hermes since I got the damn thing in february
Same thing happened to me with my 8525, I sent it back to Cingular and they replaced the unit. Mike, suggested taking the unit apart and putting it back together (Which worked for some folks having this issue), but as I was still under warranty I sent mine back.
I dealt with this for a few days and it drove me crazy. I hope you get this sorted out.
Sorry to hear you are having this problem!
Same for me but mine started once I upgraded to WM6 and is even there after downgrading to WM5. My replacement comes in next week.

I'm sorry to say this is not good news and has come up quite a few times previously.
Commonly, though not always this starts after the device has been on for a while and heat has built up, putting pressure on the top right corner. In portrait, programmes will minimize/close as it presses the "X", and in landscape the start Menu will appear.
You can try the Screen Alignment fixes - business card slid atround under the bezel to relieve and pressure/clear out any dust etc but this is not guaranteed to work.
Below I have copied some of the previous links, but my advice - get a warranty replacement and if you are forced into getting a repair job then thouroughly test the device using heat generating applications (Wifi) etc to be sure it's really fixed.

Does anyone Know which serial numbers are good phones
HI
I have a v1605 with serial HT648.
I am currently having this problem and i am thinking of getting a replacement.
I have read in some threads that this problem was mainly in units with SN 630 and below yet i have also read one guy with serial 647 having similar problem.
Has anyone figured out what is the "Safe" serial number - or can people who do not have any of this problem post their serial number.
Ken
I had this exact same problem with my v1605. Took it back to the Vodafone shop I got it from and they sent it back to HTC for repair. I ended up getting a replacement phone back and haven't had any issues with it.
Yup i think that is what i will end up doing - i am just worried that replacement will also be faulty - i hope not.

As I have stated in several other posts get a replacement (as you say) not a repair if possible. I would not worry too much - although we see these cases reported here they are in reality only a tiny fraction of the number of hermes around.
Mike
Sound like the same problem I have, the start menu flickers on and off like crazy. Pressing the start button stops it, but just briefly.
Keyboard input often stops working.
I think my warranty has run out, anywhere I can get it fixed for cheap? Anything I could attempt myself?

What problems to look for when buying a 2nd hand hermes?

I think this information might be useful for lots of people.
The question is: What problems should we look for when wanting to buy a second hand hermes, and how to look for them?
Everyone who's had problems with herms or knows about them should give an oppinion.thanks
Watch out for:
High frequent tone, ONLY when the display is on. Very annoying.
My phone has been to the shop for 3 times. Now I have got a new phone!
But I miss my HTC......
i had that one too, on the day i bought the 2nd hand tytn. changed the radio and rom and it went away. then the battery started heating, but i don't know if it heated before too
1). turn device on if you can.
2) sceen alignment and whitescreen - some people have the whitescreen problem, to see if it could be in yours(one type anyway) run your finger down to the bottom right at the side lcd screen (not on the screen, the casing) til you are about 2/3 of the way down from the top. lightly increase pressure and see if it starts going white. Please note this is a specific type of whitescreen which can be fixed BUT will have the warranty voided to do so. Try running a screen alignment (ask if FTouch flo is on the phone & active as this will stop this working and require a soft reset to fix)
2). test the buttons usually the bottom buttons ie. hotkeys, answer/hangup. but dont forget to check out the slideout keyboard too.
3). check to see if the battery gets hot or if there are any "hot spots" on the case. this indicates problems too. there may be a short somewhere on the hermes that is draining power REALLY quickly or may be affecting if power gets to where its needed.
4). soft reset and check if "no GSM" flashes up in the loading stage as this shows its a brick with a corrupted radio rom. this may be fixable but for me personally it would be bought only for parts (and would have to be cheap).
This is what I'd do as it is fairly quick BUT ths works only if you can see the device before you buy it otherwise you may be in for a nasty surprise.
Hope this helps...

While it's not exactly a problem, it could be a warning that problems may happen in the future.
Check the stickers under the battery, make sure the VOID sticker is intact and the (at least mine had one) reflective sticker is also intact.
Check the model and IMEI listed on the sticker, then compare it to the model and IMEI listed under the Identity tab in Device Information (Start -> Settings -> System -> Identity tab). This could give away someone trying to sell a HERM100 model as a new HERM200 (and asking a higher price), or a phone that may have been dropped and damaged. Also check the call duration tab if it's being sold as 'low use' (true, this can be cleared, but it's not exactly a couple of taps to do it).
At the very least, this could save the buyer some dosh and expose the seller as the potentially slimy person they are.
White screen mda vario 2
Hi,
I have purchased a mda vario 2, last november, with only 3 months waranty, now I`m having problems.
I have had my screen going white, some times if I go into landscape mode or turn the light on and off by means of pressing the power buton quickly the screen comes back, then the screen sometimes goes all blurry.
Now the phone wont come back on at all, all I get is this white screen, the screen lights up but just a white screen, nothing else.
So I bought a new screen from E-Bay and I connected it up to my phone but I get the same, the screen lights up, same old white screen.
Nothing else, If anyone knows what this problem is I would be very grateful.
It was a shop I brought the screen from off of E-Bay, I asked prior to purchasing this screen if it would be compatible with my phone and they told me that it was.
Many Thanks for any help, ideas what this could be.
Roy2008,
Not nice of you to hijack someone else's thread.
Anyway, read the following thread for information: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321163
li-ion have a limited number of hours before it dies i would check batt time of cause thats kinda problematic to test
I appologize if I hijacked someone else`s thread.
As I am new to this site I thought that you just use it like you do in a chat room.
I guess I was wrong, I`ll try to figure out how you use this site without annoying anyone.
My Appologies.
Anyways, Thankyou for your help, and for the hijacking part.
thinking of buying a hermes
I've been reading through out the forums because I am seriously thinking of buying this phone, a second-hand because I can't afford a brand new one. I'm a bit worried about the Whitescreen and D-pad failures thread, it seems it's the usual or maybe common problem of this model. So I have some questions before I do get this model.
-How would I know if the phone has been opened for repairs?
because I read here that you need to open the phone to fix the whitescreen prob.
-Do I look for one that has FTouch flo to check the screen alignment?
is there any other way to do this just in case the phone doesn't have one installed.
-How long does the battery last if you only use it for texting, wifi and making short calls? Also about the battery heating up, does it mean while it's idle? Is it sometimes normal for batteries to heat/warm up?

sceen alignment and whitescreen - some people have the whitescreen problem, to see if it could be in yours(one type anyway) run your finger down to the bottom right at the side lcd screen (not on the screen, the casing) til you are about 2/3 of the way down from the top. lightly increase pressure and see if it starts going white. Please note this is a specific type of whitescreen which can be fixed BUT will have the warranty voided to do so
Are there other more ways to check if symptoms of whitescreen is present? I'd really like to be thorough because I'm pretty sure the ones that I can afford would not have any warranty anymore.
The ff. are the things I think I should do to make sure the phone is in good condition:
Make a call
Send SMS
Try wifi
Use the camera
Check all keys/buttons on the front, sides and dpad if all working
Bluetooth
Try a memory card
Pls. advice me if I've forgotten anything else.
I'm actually choosing between Hermes and HTC Elf, I'm leaning more to the Hermes because of the Dpad and it's slightly cheaper than the Elf.
Thanks in advance!
Also check the external speaker, I have four that I tweak, and two had loose speaker connections(made a good deal for me). It's an easy fix, I got the tool at radio shack. BTW these units are out of warranty.
Ok I'll add that.
Anything else?
Essentially a good indication of a possible whitescreen issue is the buttons on the front not working.
To check to see if its been opened look under battery as jdc said, theres a small white sticker over a screw on the right hand side thats says Void if removed, If can see a screw under the flash LED, then its been opened.
Cheers...

White Screen??

My Cingular 8525 is having screens issues that I thought I'd post to the community if anyone has seen this.
The normal screen will go to all white under thermal conditions it appears. Thermal being inside a hot car, in my holster against my hip, gripping in my hand, heavy use with BT or wifi... thus I suspect thermal. I've changed battery's, no change. If it has changed to all white screen, a soft reset will not revert the screen back. The pda appears to have to "cool" off before screen will recover.
Could this be a LCD driver chip dieing? The screen itself? Worth repairing? Got my eye on the AT&T Fuze but wanted to keep the 8525 going for a few more months.
Thanks, Craig
holy crap I'm having the same problem. I havent determined heat to be the problem, but the only possible clue is that once, right after i hung up ona phone conversation, the screen turned semi white. If you looked real hard you could tell that the menus and programs were still operating normally, but the screen was screwy. using johkoss's V8 w. Manilla2D
Major problem, theres a MASSIVE thread going for this, sometimes it pays to use the search function.....
this is "the most common issue" on a hermes device.
I, personally, experienced it 3 times with 3 different hermes. Each time I had to send the device back to the shop. Because my device was under warranty, I always got a new one, free of charge.
You guys might want to check the Wiki, cause I believe there's a section there just dedicated for this issue.
I can't remember what the details are, but if my memory serves me right, it has something to do with the hardware (connection of cables to the screen).
I don't use hermes anymore, but I still come to the hermes forum every now and then...
Therer are actually a myriad of reasons you can get whitescreen, both hardware and software. From the descriptions though, it sounds like hardware.
This can be one of the most difficult things to fix as there may be multiple reasons and fixing one thing won't fix the issue.

I am agree with you. White screen may be appears occasionally and may be not. When white screen appears in my experience, it's enough to soft-reset.
May be different solutions with another?
HTC TyTN White Screen Issue with S/N Starting with HT6's
is your TyTN S/N start's with a HT6 you have a defective model for sure they are one of the first breads and are being known too have issues, so anyone make sure it starts with a HT733G4323 Etc, if your buying one of these used.
Or Even new Watch Out.
HTC TyTN
1.10
mobile 5
With 6.1 Plug-in's
Can't say that MY HT6 is a problem.. I actually found it faster than a HT7 (I have both). I did have to replace the LCD, BUT, it was because the touchscreen died, NOT whitescreen.
I bought the HT7 as a broken Hermes off ebay and found that it was actually less responsive than my older model. Used it to fix my older HT6 than use the HT7 motherboard in my, now, Frankenphone....
The "broken" Jasjam had a broken camera. It was actually just unplugged from the board. Liked my older model better...
Cheers...
