How to repair Exec - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

I recently broke my exec see the pic below. As i was putting the charger in the port inside went back into the ex and now I can't charge it. Does anyone know how I can repair this or is there anywhere I could send it. O2 said it does not come under my warranty which I was a bit mad about.

Hi,
I believe you need to point out that is a manufacturing flaw and that the connector has lifted from the tracks. I am aware of them trying to say its been mistreated. Their is no reinforcement to hold the connected and as such really isnt up to the task... I have an XDA Exec and am super super careful when connecting...
I am aware of another XDA Exec that suffered the same fate and was giving the same warranty response. However this was eventually fixed under warranty for the description above.
Hope that may help you....

If you bought Uni only 5 days ago, I would go and make valid a warranty!
That problem seems to be a phisical damage on the screen connection, anyway I am not an expert...
Good luck
Yeah, Don't screw around with it. You won't even be able to see what you are doing anyway with the screen like that. Send it back - Take advantage of your warranty.
got it form the uk on ebay. i think im screwed

LCD Damaged

Hi,
I must've sat on my phone or something but when I picked up my beloved HD2 and read a message against the white background I was greeted by this lovely Splodge. I plan to claim on my insurance but I was just wondering if anyone had encountered and possibly fixed anything like this.

moisture? Been swimming with your phone or in the sauna with it again?
Make the insurance claim.
you can try pulling gently at the screen with a suction cup, good chance it will unstick the two layers again.
Fixed
Thanks for your help and concern but it fixed itself before I could claim!
I believe you may have been right Samsamuel, thanks.
and airwater9... Swimming with it hasn't broken it in the past so why would it have broken it this time? silly...

Is this common?

I noticed it earlier today, not sure when it might've happened - but I wonder has it happend to any other members here? And do you think warranty will cover it (If I now would bother for this small reason)
If you can't see it on the picture, the back logo is falling off, the L is missing.

Their decals I'd I remember correctly, there's no easy that will be covered under warranty
Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk
Pretty sure normal wear and tear would not be covered.
Thanks Devs, from my LG G2
If the logo actually performed a function on the phone, then it would be covered. But as said, wear and tear usage applies there.
Alright, thanks guys. I was thinking the same
Buy
I think you should buy a case for your phone or you could even buy a back cover and remove the old one buy tools or maybe your nails

Stuck/ Dead Pixel!!!

So I've only had this for for like 4 months and I ended up dropping the phone (granted there was a thick screen protector + protective case on it) and these pixels ended up like this. I am just wondering if this is covered under the warranty as there is no damage to the screen and does dropping the phone cause dead pixels?
Sorry I know the pic is blurry

Click to collapse
Well, depends... I'd say you can try it. It surely wouldn't be a warranty repair if it's obvious that you droppped the phone.
But in your case you could just say it suddenly went that way and then hope that it's not obvious to the techs that the real reason was a drop.

need help from display hardware experts

I need help with my Note4's display. I paid a local phone repair shop to fix the cracked glass. when I got the phone back things looked different. most noticeably everything looked washed out, kinda greyish. I took it back to them and they replaced lcd. they said there was nothing more they could do and blamed the issue on the software. I reloaded the original firmware and the phone is now completely stock. I made a test pic with some gradients that confirmed my suspicions. the first pic attached, test2, is my phone side by side with a friends phone displaying the second pic, test. does anyone know what possibly went wrong?
