Edit Prophet ROM's - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 General

Hello, I have searched these forums and the web but it seems I am unable to find an answer to this...
How can one edit the ROM's that are available for various Prophet phones? What I want for starters is to be able to browse the content of the nk.nbf file, and copy several files out of it. I am not interested in re-packing the firmware to add new features (yet).
I've seen some custom firmwares around, so this must be possible... but how? The tools I've found like "xda3nbftool" don't seem to work... maybe an already decrypted nk.nba file instead?
Sorry if the answer is obvious, please point me in the right direction...
Thanks in advance,
Mihnea

Cab for Office Mobile 6.1?

Before anyone blabs anything:
Googled & Live searched, no dice.
No luck searching through here, its been 20 pages of ROM integration talk and 8 people asking with either no result or brick-wall answers.
I just need the English version & I'll be on my way.
A .cab, .zip or .rar would be helpful thanks.
Here's all the MSI files for installing through ActiveSync but you can extract the CABs yourself.

Make my own WM6.1

I recently owned a Polaris, and already started modifying it a litte bit.
I flashed the old WM6 with this one.
I'm happy with it, but I added some programs and tweaks (register modify), and I would like to make my own rom with those included, so if I need to do a hard reset I won't have to re-install all the stuff.
I downloaded the Polaris Kitchen, and HyperCore, but I can't make it work, or I don't understand ... I've searched all the day, is there anywhere a tutorial for use of those applications.
And by the way, in the HyperCore readme they speak about a nk.nbf file, that should be my "base" rom, but I can't get this anywhere, I searched a way to extract it from the nbh french rom, but it seems to be impossible.
Can somebody help me please ?

Editing the FLash Lite 3.1 CAB

so i was wondering just how one would go about editing the flash lite cab floating around here to make it universally compatible amongst ppcs. is it outrageously complex?? are there liek any simple examples someone could give to show how the code might be changed?
i read a little about cab files but really felt like there had to be a simple solution to the overall buginess and unique situations needed for it to work. if some developers or techies can chime in on this ide love to learn a bit about how to accomplish these things. thanks in advance.
Why would you start a new thread rather than ask in the offical Flash Lite thread ?
Just Download OCP WinCe Cab Manger and open flash lite 3.1 and without modifying anything just press Save and now can install on PPC or SP

just a general tendency of people when they want to make sure they're heard.
totally. i just dont want my question to get buried in the 20+ posts per day that thread already gets. ive posted twice with only one response to anything i mentioned in the post. so i really wanted to ask an important question seperate from just "getting it to work somehow". is it possible to modify the file to be more compatible with the Kaiser WM6.1 so that it will function well right off the bat.
is the real issue that this cab and the opera versions everyone is using are both unofficial? meaning they both still contain bugs and compatibility problems. i wish there was a way to maybe rewrite the Flash Lite program that extracted so that its more universal.
btw, what does the above mentioned software do exactly?? since its already installable, im wondering if someone could change the program itself to work better with wm6.1 roms, and the latest version of opera 99% of time.
wow i posted not too long ago, this thread is now 4-5 pages burried!! hehe. so many posters. i guess thats why i love this site. but then again, i just wish someone would throw out some suggestions.
bump...would like to see this get working on at least all wm6.1 devices.

G910 cooked rom

Hi everyone
just bought a G910, i was so enthusiast of my bargain...UNTIL I SWITCHED IT ON... It's like an obese elephant disguised as an handeld [and i have the latest official rom, the .36 one]. It's slow, really heavvy, it crashes continuously, ecc.
I've searched for something that could help me, but i haven't found absolutely nothing about cooked stuff or similar for my G910.
I need an help, if it doesn't exists anything already done, and is it possible to create a cooked rom for the g910, i'm ready to learn.
In addiction, I have some troubles that i'd like to clarify.
1) Does it exists a REALLY WORKING fix for the annoying low volume?
2) Are there some rom for others handeld that could fit and work with succes on my G910?
3) Does it exists some software for overclocking my device?
4) Are there some kind of updates that i can do? I've got WM6 installed, i was asking myself if is it possible, in some way, to install WM 6.5 or similar.
5) Please HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP me
It's a watch, that's a phone.... how can you expect it to do much?
Thanks for your reply but... i've not understood what do you wanna say :/ Sorry but i'm not english ))
Little update.
Found "TSW TOOLS" software, from Cotulla [the forum doesn't allows me to post links but it's so easy to find]
This tool decrypts/encrypts .bin to .tsw and .tsw to .bin.
So now i have a .bin file with my rom.
Tried to "split" it with ImgFstools but it says
"
ImgfsFromDump.exe G910_Software_IT/prg/G910SW.bin out.bin
ImgfsFromDump 2.1rc2
Compression DLL does not support compression type '\AMSS\products\7'!
"
...could someone help me?

[Q] QUESTIONS: imilka's Gingerbread Sense v0.4

To start with, I couldn't post a reply in the topic forum because I am still new apparently.
I am wondering if there has been any news regarding the bugs on this rom? The only bug that I am aware of that is stopping me from putting on my phone is the camera bug. I need my camera.
Question 2: Is there any other Roms that share a basic Gingerbread OS with something similar to sense? I don't want a rom that tweaks everything from looking like the standard gingerbread w/sense. What I really want is a rom that is close to the look of the evo and gingerbread. But something that clocks speed. Any recommendations?
Sorry for the stupid questions, I have been reading and reading and reading and I can't find a single post that talks about definitions and recommendations for users. Its hard for the normal noobs to grasp the lingo in place
Thanks again
hi,
gingerbread with sense is still a work in progress, and no the camera does not work properly yet.....
