gprs freeware - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

can anyone recommend a freeware programme that will allow you to monitor your gprs allowance?

perhaps even a shareware goodie?

perhaps a quick search woudl list the ones already discussed.

i tried but didnt come across anything - perhaps its what I searched on, or perhaps its just too darn hot LOL

Is there a gprs-meter on xda?

does a meter for gprs exist for the xda?
Yes there is one. Spb GRS monitor. Works well...
its a program i have to buy, or is it free?
I guess you could have clicked the link, but it's commercial software, available for US$14.95 through Handango and PocketGear
ok, thanks
A trial GPRS counter comes on the additional software CD with most UK xdas. Check out the Dutch section of the disc.
Alternatively use the Bytecounter for per-session data counts. It's in the Windows folder.

Does anyone know when a WM5 version of this will be released or if there is another program similar?
Try PhoneAlarm .. it has profiles .. but donno if it can switch them dynamically based on the location ...
Here is a link to another version but it says its not fully compatible with all PDA's. Anyone used it on a PDA?

cell-profiler is pretty poor imo, the full version of phonealarm does let you switch profiles based on cell id. Ive been using it for weeks.....great app!!
Its the app i was looking for because i used to use Magic-Profiles pro on my P900 which did the same thing.

The thing I don't like about phonealarm is the look and feel, it looks like the home page is going to be really busy and I also used SPB Diary so would it clash with this?
Has anyone used PPCProfiles for switching on a scheduled basis? If so how did this compare to phonealarm?
Thanks

Data counter for internet connection?

Hi guys and gals!
First off just let me say what great help i have found through the members of this forum and i just wanted to say a collective thank you! to all the people involved in working on this phone.
My question would be if this phone has a data counter for INTERNET connections? Something that would measure upload and download and would help me estimate my costs. I have not been able to find it in the phone's original software. Has anyone developed such an application?
Much obliged.
Try this:

I agreed with LordK : SPB Wireless monitor is a good choice.

Thank you very much guys. It does look great.
I'll stay open for some other suggestions (perhaps even free ), if not i'll purchase that one since i abuse my 3G internet a lot and i wanna kept a track of the costs.
I tried Efficasoft GPRS traffic monitor (as I was used to on TyTN), but after each soft reset I lost the settings. Did it happen to any of you?
Had to switch to SPB Wireless monitor

As far as I know this happens, if the programm is unregistered. At least for me it was so.
Well, I did register it, but would not help either...

internet usage software - what is there?

As the title says, I am looking for some software to monitor my usage to suit my HD with WM 6.1. I did a search and there is an old thread about a year ago, but it really does not mention any software. Any thoughts and opinions would be welcome. Thanks
Doesnt your HD come with GPRS Monitor already pre-installed?
No such thing on mine. It originally came from Singapore. Cheers.

SPG GPRS Monitor is the best one I've tried so far..
I use Spb Wireless Monitor....it gives you info on all the phones connections, gprs,wi-fi etc....even notifies you when you exceed certain limits....good piece of software
I use HomeScreen++ to monitor my GPRS usage. It can be setup so that you can have just one line on the Today screen with the usage details for the day and month.

GPRS download/upload tracking

Hi all,
I just want to know how much data i am downloading/uploading using my GPRS.
Is there any counter such in HTC Touch 2.
Thanks

There are many third party software available. One of them is SPB Wireless Monitor. It's one of the best monitors available. However it's a paid software.
Any freeware softwares available ?

here is a tiny program,u can map it on 1 of the hard keys, it shows amount of data u use per sesion,no summaries,2 line counter appears next to start flag,
unzip , copy to main/storage memory, then assign for a button (i use "ae button plus" to remap allthe hard buttons)
most of the things are free on internet m8 ... spb soft not an exception
