If somebody can give me an advice ?
I have an O2 XDA II mini and i chance'it to qtek and after this to i-mate.
i used the unlocker for sim and the message whose ok ! But i can't find any network (not with the qtek and not with the i-mate) When i start the phone on automatic or manual network ,appears : " UNABLE TO READ SETTINGS FROM THE NETWORK.TRY VIEWING SETTINGS LATER ,OR DISCONNECT DATA CONNECTION AND TRY AGAIN ". I try with bandswitch app. and she writing Current : ERROR .I try to use'it with 900/1800 but nothing.
My device settings are :
ROM version : 1.12.00 WWE
ROM date : 05/28/05
Radio version : 1.12.10
Protocol version : 1337.42
ExtROM version : 1.12.131 WWE
And i whant to use'it on Orange Israel

hmmz seem to have the same problem here
after unlocking/updating to original t-mobile rom on my mda vario.
It worked for a few days and suddenly when i was in a call the radio stopped and never came back
it keeps looking for its network.
sometimes the indicator gives me 4 bars but still cant call.
but most off the time its looking for its network.
unlocking was done with the lokiwiz 2b tool

I recently bought a MDA from eBay.co.uk (item 6370487252), it was described as unlocked BUT I have not been able to pickup any Network (i have tried all 4). Can some one Please have a look at the Details below and let me know if there is any possible way of making this work on ANY Uk Network :?: (GSM 900 or 1800)... I have tried to change it in the phone settings and also Tried to select GSM 900 from the Bootloader Menu BUT to No Avail...

Not sure if i really could help you. But your model is PW10B1 so you can only use 900/1900 GSM networks. There is no possibility to get it working on 1800.
Maybe this causes your problems...

just flash to RSU Version 4.21-900-1800 and in GSM boot menu select 900-1800

That would be a bad idea.
The Radio Stack depends on the hardware version. Since he has a PW10B modell, the device is just designed for 900/1900 Networks....
Flashing the 4.21could set the device as a paperweight...

I bought a new MDA Compact on TMOBILE and i unlocked successfully with your great app (thanks). I want to remove all of the tmobile branding on the phone (there is loads). I need to change it so it is like the Vodafone VPA (equivalent of MDA) Is there anyway i can do this. Here is my device info:

ROM date: 5/28/05

The easiest way to do this is to make a hard reset (all data will be lost) and press the reset button once the touchscreen initialization pops up. Then you will have a completely unbranded Magician.
Afterwards you can check for the Vodafone ROM here on the FTP, but most applications (cab files in the extended ROM) are not branded and the same as for the other Roms. The provider settings can be entered manually. Use the search for more informations on this.

Everytime i try to do a reset with power and reset and press reset at the windows touch here screen it still does customizing. Its so annoying could some1 plz tell me another way of getting rid of this stupid branding
popup - connecting to GPRS is just not dissapearing and tries to connect continuosly. I'm sure my settings are ok and curious is that even GSM operator confirmed settings, though it doesn't connect.
any possible reasons?
can you guys give me a list of recommendations on what to verify or if there has been some trick with GPRS on wizards

I have just bought this from EBAY UK.
I need help to unlock the mda vario and I have read the forums threads but too confused to what to use.
My T Mobile Mda Vario - Says on the Box Made in Taiwan ( HTC is taiwanese based)
This is what I get when I swicthed on my Phone.
IPL Ver : 2.21.0001
SPL Ver : 2.21.0001
GSM Ver: 2.19.11
OS : 2.24.2.6
It first installed the T Mobile S/w and now says SIM LOCK.
Could someone help me which unlock version ( latest is lokiwizMSL 0.3a) and some handfull advice.
If you need more info please let me know.

I have appeneded the main thread Lokiwiz03 with the difficulty i faced.

I beleive you can use lokiwiz .3. Follow the directions from the first post in that thread exactly. And run it with either its native sime(the one its originially supposed to take) or without a sim at all. lokiwiz will give you the unlock code. Put in your sim and enter the code.
Or...
You could always ask t-mobile for the unlock code...they gave me mine for free. it took about a week but they got it from the company and sent it along with instructions in an email.

I have an unlocked I-mate Kjam G3 with the following :

all the bars signal are present, but when others try to call me my phone don,t receive the call and my friends say that hear a message "is not powered on or is out of region " , to correct this i need to power off and on again to work for 2 or 3 hours and then the same problem apear again, i already try to make a hard reset and uninstall skype, backgamon and antivirus with no success.
I´m using this phone in Telcel mexico, they don´t have this phone or any Rom upgrade specific for this carrier.
Do i need to upgrade to the latest Rom and radio version that apear in the i-mate kjam support page ? the latest Rom and Radio version in that page is
Rom 2.16.9.1
Radio 02.07.10
Ext. Rom 2.16.9.101
Or which upgrade do you recomend ?

try to upgrade to that official update. It is a solid rom. There are many choices for cooked roms and radio only roms you can try, but I would try the official one first without installing any additional software for a week or two. In my case I usually found that a clean rom usually works fine with receiving calls, but the software you install after, might cause clashes with radio. If you get a stable state then you can install your software one by one and try if there is any problem. Hope this helps.
