ActiveSync and Bluetooth hassle - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I've got the latest iMate rom with the push email installed on my Vario. Have started to notice that after disconnecting from either ActiveSync or Bluetooth that my Vario requires a soft reset to receive and make calls or to access the Internet or download email via gprs.
Anyone else had this problem?

active sync via bluetooth
I have latest ROM and since that no longer can connect to active sync which I was able to before. I am able to connect to my car and headset.
I'd love steps--It doesn't give me active sync as a choice when I try to connect to computer from 8125 active sync using bluetooth. Only service listed is WIRELESS STEREO.
anythoughts would be appreciated

File Transfer - Microsoft Bluetooth Stack

Reading all the posts about how horrible the MS BT stack was I was surprised to find that it does nearly everything I want. I couldn't get activesync working on the widdcom stack and so was switching between the two for different services. I've found that by initiating an activesync session on the MS BT stack I can access the internet thorugh my laptop and transfer files from my laptop to the XDA by pressing on the Explore button on the laptop's Activesync and then clicking on My Pocket PC. My BT GPS device seems to work ok, though I lose a BT connection when I'm in standby for a while. My main gripe is that half the time I can't initiate an activesync session, I either get "connecting to host" forever or "can't connect to serial port", restarting my laptop seems to help.

problem with active sync

Hi i have imate ppc (xda II) with WM2003 se i opened bluetooth then i bonded the device to my desktop i set the in/out bond, i set active sync on my pc to accept bluetooth connection. The problem is when i open Activesync on my pda then tools then connect via bluetooth nothing happened!!!!!
Note . when i was using WM2003 i do the same procedure and bluetooth was opening and i can do activesync via bluetooth.
Does any one have an idea of the difference between activesyc via bluetooth on WM2003 and WM2003 se .

Bluetooth palm GPRS?

Hi,
I've been trying for hours trying to connect my PALM to my Imate JAM to make my Palm surf via GPRS over the JAM. I've tried everything, also tried Wireless Modem mode. Do I need a different bluetooth stack to make this work? Any suggestions on connecting another PDA to the JAM to browse GPRS?
Thanks!

Automatic Bluetooth sync possible?

Is there a way to tell the ActiveSync to automatically sync with my PC when it detects the PC via BT? - Like when I turn on the BT headset it automatically connects... can the same be done with the sync software?
Thanks,
Nir

What bluetooth Services are availible on the 8125

I am trying to setup my 8125 to syn with my PC. PC has a 1.1 dongle. When I pair to the pC only services I get are serial port and audio gateway. I am using sumiter2.3AKU Rom.
anyone? PPlease
Just a general plug for a website. If you ever want to check specs on a phone use www.phonescoop.com. According to them the 8125 has: Supported Profiles: HSP, HFP, DUN, OPP, HID, A2DP, AVRC
version 2.0. The serial profile is what will be used to make the connection between your phone and activesync.
When I connected them my Phone only showed Audio Gateway and serial link....while my pc showed networking and audio gateway. I have double checked and my OBEX file transfer is enabled on my phone but not registering with my computer. This Bluetooth dongle has worked awesome with all my other devices for file transfers. any ideas?
Are you trying to use activesync for the transfers or your bluetooth client?
Bluetooth Client
I'm not sure what Bluetooth stack you are using on your PC. I have the Widcomm stack (not sure what version). I have the OBEX profile and it shows up under the bt client software. However, I can only use the business card exchange and not a true file exchange. When I was using an older version of activesync I would initiate transfers to the device using bluetooth (push), but never tried a pull exchange. Is there something specific you are trying to accomplish? It is generally much easier and faster to use the mini SD or a USB method of exchanging files between two devices. BT is just dreadedly slow IMHO. I mostly use BT for A2DP and DUN.
I have the same problem, its not a problem in the PC stack, is the 8125 BT stack fault, lack of file bluetooth transfer OBEX, just imagine take the phone to another PC without activesync and you cant transfer files PC-8125, thats is the problem, i can do that with my rzr.
Maybe a BT stack upgrade?
