Turn equaliser on for great effect.

Poor A2DP sound quality.

I found that the default A2DP setting in Athena is used JointStereo,
After I use Registry Editor change JointStereo value to normal stereo the sound quality is become poor,
many high frequence tone in my I-tech Radio (I-tech R35 with radio function),
but this problem haven't appear on jointstereo.
I don't know why HTC use jointstereo than normal stereo there may be some reason was hidden.

Hello seems to be a recuring problem of all HTC phone
just see threads of hermes, P3600, etc
with my Artemis i have the same problem, i try to change joint stereo or bitpool and i get very very poor sound
so i resigned to let the HTC setting , it make poor sound but "earable"
so the question is : why ???
in artemis i forget it because of the 180mhz poor processor (remenber htc didn't activate A2DP in prophet because off it)
but i was expecting that X7500 work great with A2DP blutooth !!!!
what the hell are doing the htc's technical team ???
i can't beleve that !!!
i think that this time i'll pass the X7500 and go to ETEN or ASUS

it's more depend on what headphone you use, and because of this, i am pretty sure my DOPOD U1000 generate the greatest sound i won't go in details of this, because this is a PDA forum not a headphone one
Great A2DP Quality!
I agree with Wu, the audio quality of the A2DP is amazing, the best I have experienced using Bluetooth A2DP, plus the distance I can have between the headphones and the Dopod U1000 is even better!
I am using Motorola's HT820! Great sound!

Agree 100% .
I don't thing U1000 provide great sound quality! I try same headset (I-tech Radio + Shure 4G) on different A2DP device Asus535, O2 Zinc, G-Smart i+, Dopod900 and Dopod U1000. Only HTC device have high frequence tone distributed to A2DP headset. Other device provided a stable and great sound quality on A2DP.
it brilliant with my nokia hs-12w

if you have shure 4G, then don't use the bluetooth, plug your headphone straight into the socket, otherwise you will waste the headphone.
For everyone else, unless you really like the idea of having bluetooth headphone, otherwise to archive maximun sounf quality, you should plug your headphone straight into the Athena

HTC HD2 + Jabra BT3030 (bluetooth stereo) = too loud

Hello,
Today I paired my HTC HD2 with Jabra BT3030 bluetooth stereo headset. Everything seems to work fine except a little issue - even with minimum volume settings a sound comming out of headset is faaaaar too loud.
Maybe you know if there's any fix for that? Of course setting volume on the phone does not bring any results. At this point listening to music with BT3030 kills my ears.
Regards.
i'm also thinking about buying this headset... any1 else have this problem?

Same issue, it's too loud :-/
only solution till now - use a SW-Equalizer...
hi I have the jabra headset you have and the volume is just about perfect. maybe it could be to do with the ROM you are running and the region you got the phone from! I got my hd2 in Hong Kong and it came with 1.48 ROM preloaded. I do remember seeing a different thread with other people with the same problem as you on this forum. I also sure I sas some other threads on this board where people were looking for the registry weeks the raise the volume limit, but everything that is tried does not work. I hope you can sort your problem soon as the jabra headset is pretty good and the sound quality is very good.
I have the same equipement and I love it.
You can´t adjust the loudness via phone. You need to manage it via the bt receiver itself.

Right. There is a +/- which is for volume.
I reduce it every time because my In-Ears are very loud either.

yes same here. there is only one issue with the volume buttons on the device itself. everything else is great...
I have the same problem with my HD2 and Jabra BT3030.
Sound is too loud from earphone can't adjust in "HTC sense media player"
I tried Coreplayer and media player without this problem.
Today HTC informed me that maybe the devies are not compliant and I should take a look at www.htc.com for accessories. Amazing!!!
That's pretty sad that there is no registry tweak to fix that.
P.S.
I have 1.48 WWE

I assume that you mean SRS WOW? The problem is that its installation mess up with bt drivers. As a results you cannot turn bluetooth on.

I think I know enough... HD2 can't handle bluetooth headsets like the BT3030, I will return this product, and ask my money back
Strange... hard reset + BT3030 replacement (because one button was malfunctioning) = no problem. The minimum volume is in my scale "normal volume". It's not very silent, but fine for working and tripping.
The problem is known and seems to exist only in htc music player
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=590620
I guess HTC Sense Music Player is not compatiable with some BT headset.

Hi
I use SRS WOW for equalizing and I have no problems with bluetooth?!?
Using SRS WOW you can set the output gain level, so it's not too loud anymore! Till now the only solution I know...
I've different problem with BT3030
i've found that when recieve any phone call, sound too low so every time to call or recieve must press volumn up every time like Sound Volum Level can't remember by HD2, never found this problem on htc3470.
and another problem is when play music sometime it's noisy
such as while listen music and phone in after finish and back to song it'll noisy.
i've use 1.48 official rom asia
waiting for update driver
Hi!
Today i got my BT3030 and works fine with my HD2.
No problems with the volume. The mediabuttons(play, fwd, prev) are not working with CorePlayer and HTCmediaplayer, only with Windows Mediaplayer are all features of the BT3030 available.
ROM-Version: 1.43.111.2 (70315) GER (it´s T-Mobile branded)

how to listen FM radio using a bluetooth headset on Android

Hi!
is there a way for that?
Thanks in advance...
You need a wired headset in order to listen to FM radio. the wire will work as antenna.
That's why a BT headset will never work for FM radio.

Only half true. Yes, wire works as antenna, but that doesnt mean that the radio will not get anything AT ALL without it. It's just gonna get like half of the available stations, some a little noisy may be. But it will work still. Especially true in urban areas where the signal is strong.
I speak from experience with my Sony Ericsson T715 which had exactly the same situation - FM radio which will only work if you have the headset plugged in. Turned out, simply changing a certain "1" to "0" in a certain file in the phone memory allowed the radio app to work without the headsets. Mind you, I never tried this hack, for certain reasons, but read more than enough feedbacks of it working.
Will not be surprised if it's simillar case wih HD2, where you just need to change a registry value under WinMo or some config file in Android.
is there somebody out there who can tell me how could I set it on Android...
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
For windows mobile, there is a program called btfm_radio.exe ... Or you can change the registry ... I can do something similar on Android?

lmao !!! i didnt even kno !! does it work on android too ? or is there an app for it ?
there has to be masses willing to pay for this feature. come on developers.
for my situation i listen to my car radio and want any satnav voice instructions to interrupt the radio (just like a call does) and then resume to radio
or if the phone radio is enabled to bluetooth then i can listen to the phones radio over bluetooth and the satnav voice does talk over the radio
BUY a SonyEricsson MW600. It has it's own radio . It's not soo expensive as it was before when HBH-DS980 arrived...
Radio BT headset will just defeat the purpose of long-life battery. I cant find it any useful to charge my BT headset all the time
still looking for an answer :-(
1) Plug the earphones as antenna. It's needed if not you're not be able to receive any signal or will sound as hell.
2) Start the radio program
3) Route the audio to BT (try with a new app on the market named "Super BT Mono" which could route audio to bluetooth mono earpiece)

hehe, it can be tricky but not directly cuz the cable is an antenna for FM, BT headphone isn't

fm radio over blue tooth when using navigation software
So is there a solution?
I also would like to use the phone's fm radio over bluetooth so I can listen to music and have the navigation software interupt it when needed.
An internet radio is not an option. it stops all the time and is very exspensive in foreign countries.
