Any PALM OS-like desktop?

Hello,
recently I bought an O2 xda exec and I am very fond of it but I miss the way I used to sincronize my appointments, memos and contacts with my PC.
How do you people get your calendar, appointments, telephone numbers and notes sincronized?

I tried pocketcopy to transfer the palm os data to Outlook and sync'd, but tasks and contact did not, only notes and calendar apps.
Activesync 4.2 displays the message: Activesync encountered a problem on the desktop. Support Code 85010014 and the same msg in my exec screen.
Please,let me know if there is anything I can do to sincronize my contacts.

I am not too sure why you would be getting that error message.

Sync Error on Vista

hey, can someone help me out here...im going CRAZY!!!
I'm running on Vista, Outlook 2007, WM6 PV3.
I get this error message on Windows Mobile Device Center:
View status%ActiveSync encountered a problem on the desktop.
I've been able to sync just fine but for some reason, I tried today and I got that message. I restarted to phone and computer, deleted the partnership and created a new one. It even erased all my contacts and calender data on the phone. Anyone know how I can get it to sync again without un-installing outlook?

85010014 Help

I am having trouble attempting to sync my mogul with winxp and Outlook 2007. I get the error code above and have tried reinstalling outlook, activesync 4.5, outlook diagnostics etc. Any ideas?

is your outlook 2007 legit? if not that could be why

It is legit, it is at work and my IT guy is struggling with this. Any other ideas.

I had the same problem. I had to delete the mobile device from Active Sync and reestablish the connection. Worked after that. However, I lost all my contacts when I did so.

uninstall your Outlook 2007
or uninstall Office

What the others said... reinstall it all, remove profiles, perhaps even remove the mail folder on your device. Outlook is nice when it works, but when Activesync stops working with it, it's a PITA.

Thanks for your advice, I have reinstalled Outlook, reinstalled activesync. I really cannot get rid of my personal settings as I have to many contacts, appointments etc, if anyone sles has any ideas, I am at my wits end.

Are you using Exchange? I recently had a similiar problem trying to get my work Exchange email (Outlook 2003) and my home computer POP3 Outlook 2007 to work.
Ended up being a security setting on my exchange server. My OWA security settings were wrong.
If you need specifics I'll tell you what I did.

WMDC won't sync my device

Now I'm already busy for a week solving a sync problem????
Is there anybody able to help me out?
I tried already reinstalling WMDC, Outlook, office (totally), system files for the phone, etc. ...
Fisrt I was using a Mio, cuase of some other problems (gps) I bought a HTC Diamond 2.
The mio (A701) was alwasy on win XP (active sync) no problems, on WMDC it connects, I can search folders, etc. but it won't sync my office outlook mail, contacts, etc.
Normally after the first sync with (active sync) I was able to choose which maps I wanted to sync with my device.
When it connects and I make my preferences in the categories (contacts, mail, etc.) it sends the relationship to my device.
So in short everything works only the sync with oulook won't work.
I suppose the prob is in WMDC or outlook? Somebody having a solution for this problem?

Can't synchronize with Activesync!

Hi all,
It driving me insane that I can't work it out why Activesync is not syncing my phone.
Here is the situation. Got the phone from my brother. With him it synced fine, with USB cable, with Outlook 2003 and WM6.5.
I have the same setup but Outlook 2007.
What happens is that when it connects, it finds the device, I only set it to sync contact, tasks and calender of outlook. It then says "Looking for changes" and soon after it says "Synchronizing". But then it hangs.
I searched the forum and the internet. I tried reconfiguring, soft resets, installing CompanionLink (software that works through Activesync).
No joy!
I simply want to be able to keep my contacts, calender and tasks from outlook synced. Nothing more.
Any help!!?!

Unistall your firewallproduct and disable the windowsfirewall. Restart and try again.
Wait a very long time. I have a phone were this step need around 10 mins.
