Bluetooth and WiFi won't work at same time - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I have an 8125 with the 2.17 ROM. When trying to stream audio using WiFi and my 820 bluetooth headphones, the blutooth connect breaks after about 5 seconds and cannot be re-established until a reboot. If I stream using GPRS the bluetooth works fine. Can WiFi and Bluetooth normally be used together or is there something wrong on my unit?

They are supposed to be able to work together concurrently but sometimes there can be conflict with the signals.
One thing you can try is to set your wireless router to use a different wifi channel to the one you are on now and see if it makes things any better.

It won't work
I have tried everything. Re-installed everything. Turned things off, turned things on. Nothing corrects the problem. Motorola says to disable the phone connection to relsolve the problem. That does not work either. The Bluetooth A2DP is not working right. Maybe it is the ROM I am using. It is simply 2.17. Is there a bug in that one and should I reflash with a newer one?

Bluetooth connection with Pioneer 9880BT car audio

In my car I've the Pioneer 9880BT (with bluetooth support). I can connect with the radio without any problem, but I saw a lot of limitations. I can't transfer my contacts to the radio. It freezes in the receiving contacts screen and then the bluetooth disconnects. Another thing is that after connecting, the only thing in the display that appears is that the hermes is connected. It don't display signal strength, battery power and other things that I saw after connecting a friend's basic cellphone from Nokia or Motorola.
Is there a way to solve these problems?
Thanks
Try installing Jetwaremobile on the phone, that extends the bluetooth capabilities.
http://www.jetwaremobile.com/
Thanks, I'll try it
It worked, thanks a lot
I have only one problem now, i still can't send my contacts.
Sending contacts have now worked, but there is another problem. I can't send more than 7 contacts a time. Hermes displays that has sent all the contacts (it sends very fast), but in the radio it freezes after sending 6/7 contacts. Closing the sending window in hermes, the radio displays contacts sent. Maybe the sending is too fast?
Thanks.
I was wondering iif you were able to get the pioneer to automatically detect the phone? I have a tytn and the P980BT and everything works great except for the contacts and the fact that I have to manually establish a connection with the phone.
Now it's eveything ok, I've installed Jetware 1.2 beta version. Now I've transfered all the contacts (273) without any problem.
The connection is automatic only when the bluetooth is active. If you turn the radio off (and in your car the radio is turned off after turning the car off) then you need to connect manually after turning the radio on.
If you can turn the radio on even with the car off, then the bluetooth will stay active even turning the radio off (you will see the bt light on), and after returning to the car, the bt will connect automatically. It won't connect only if you turn off and take the face off. Then you need to connect manually again.
interresting
So you work around is to keep the deck powered at all times and manually shutoff when you leave the car. Can you remove the faceplate and still have it work?

Bluetooth and S9 issues on 2.73 ROM

Hi
I have the T-Mobile G2 Touch and a Motorola S9 headphones. Using the Origianl Stock T-Mobile ROM i have had no issues with bluetooth.
BUT
using the generic 2.73 ROM i have issues with connecting to the headset
It will connect, then instantly disconnect, then try to connect again, at which point it fails to connect properly
To Reproduce:
Using a HTC Hero & 2.73 ROM
Pair your S9's with the Hero
then Turn off the S9's and Bluetooth
Then turn on Bluetooth, and the S9's with the Bluetooth Settings up
you will see it say "Connected with Media", "Paired but not Connected", then "Connecting......." at which point it will fail
I have tried all the different radio versions to make sure it isnt a issue with the radio, but the same problem prevails.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue? or what is causing it?
I also had issues with an unlocked Hero and a Sennheiser MM200 headset. Worked perfectly on original rom, but very fiddly to setup with the 2.73 rom.
The only way I can get them to work properly with the phone is to:
1) Make sure headset is turned off, as well as bluetooth on phone
2) Turn on headset
3) Then turn on bluetooth on phone
Headset connects as normal - any other sequence doesn't work.
I have tried this, and it doesnt seem to work. I have been trying it for the last hour.
While in Bluetooth Settings it says its connected with media, then is disconnects, then it trys to connect again, and then it just says "Connecting.........." for ages
The Headset light flashes as if it was connected.
I also had problems connecting MM200. I could connect it, but then it kinda stuck when i was pressing play button.
But then i decided to check my old sony ericsson bluetooth headset - it was working normally. And after that the MM200 also was working. One wonders.
Still i've noticed some stuttering problems when song starts. And it seems to start with faster tempo and then slow down after 10 seconds to normal speed (could be related to that stuttering? Trying to compensate for the lost time or something). No issues when i'm listening to wired headphones - so it must either something with hero bluetooth or MM200.
I have to check how it works with my old headset, but i'm kinda afraid of having MM200 connection problems again.
Ok
i will keep playing around. i have some CX-300II coming next week so i have a backup plan if i cant get the bluetooth stuff working properly
Thanks for your help

I think the speeding up / slowing down and stuttering is more to do with the Hero - I have tried the headset connected to a laptop and there is no problem whatsoever. Hopefully the next Android update will improve the bluetooth problems.
not compatible with new mazda 3
Well the hero is probably the best phone ive had and ive had many many phones over the years including the jesus phone which was pants.
Well ive just bought a new mazda 3 and unfortunately the hero does not like connecting to the car via bluetooth. tried all sorts. sometimes it works but usually only for a couple of times and then manages to lock the car radio up.
So its bye bye hero for me as i need a compatable phone for my car. looks like its back to nokia...shame as i really love the phone

Work around for Bluetooth Handsfree Problem

I just got a TMOUS HD2 and had the same problems a lot of other people are having connecting it to my car. It connects to the car correctly, downloads the address book, but no sound comes through the cars speakers and the call doesn't register on the cars phone display. I searched XDA and there seems to be a bunch of registry change posts that don't seem to work all the time and disable some features. By doing the following I get it to work consistently with all the features enabled.
1) Turn off the data connection and Bluetooth in Comm Mgr
2) Turn on Bluetooth and connect (or pair) the phone with the car
3) Make a call
4) While in the call, turn the data connection back on
It works for my Land Rover RRS and stays working until I reset the phone. After I reset, I just go through the above procedure again.
I don't know if it works for every car make but it should work for most Volvos, Jaguars, and Land Rovers since most of them use common bluetooth systems.
Hope this helps somebody.
I am having the same issue. I have to manually connect the music stream. The phone stream always connects. Hoping for a fix from T-Mobile.

My car doesn't support A2DP - the phone's separate from the audio head. All the car's phone features work though - voice recognition, conference calling, transfer to and from the handset, and address book and digit dial. I wouldn't hold my breath for a fix though. It's the WIDCOMM Bluetooth stack that HTC started using with the TP2 so there are over a year's worth of complaints logged with HTC and no sign of a fix.
well, not much to be said for the Microsoft bluetooth stack either. I have a 2010 LR4 and can't get my HTC Raphael/Touch Pro/Fuze to keep a connection. Hard to know what the problem is, starting a WiFi or GPS session often resets the connection, in addition to the random drops, sometimes mid-call.
When I tried an iPhone though, it worked fine, naturally.

Intermittent Bluetooth/WiFi connection

I've been using the SGS2 for a good few days now and really loving it. However, I've noticed an intermittent problem with the Bluetooth and WiFi.
WiFi problem:
I have connected my phone to my home WiFi but sometimes it does not connect when I get in range or after turning on my WiFi on the phone. If I then go to settings and long hold on my WiFi connection and then select 'Connect to network' it will then obtain an IP address and connect. This is intermittent and doesn't happen all the time. I would say the problem occurs more than 50% of the time.
Bluetooth problem:
I have a Motorola S9-HD bluetooth stereo headphones. I mainly use it when watching videos and listening to audio books. I already have it paired so when I turn it on, it should connect and play all audio through them. When I click the play button, it should fire up Winamp and start playing the last audio file I was playing at the exact location it last played up to. The SGS2 sometimes fails to fully connect. I have to find the device in the Bluetooth list and long hold and then select connect to network. Again, this happens around 50% of the time. Occasionally, even when it has connected, it still does not play audio through headset (but the audio isn't even played through phone). Switching off headset and switching back on normally resolves it.
Both scenarios work pretty much flawlessly on my SGS1. Also, both Bluetooth and WiFi problems seem related as they are so similar.
Anyone else having similar issues or could explain why this might be happening on the SGS2?
Well, BT & WiFi both use frequencies in the 2.4 GHz range, so if you're using both simultaneously, they may be interfering with each other. You might try setting up your WiFi to use a different channel; your router's config pages should allow for that. Or you can use a 802.11a connection if your network supports it; that uses the 5 GHz band, so it won't interfere with BT.

No, not using them at the same time. I use WiFi when I'm at home and only use my Bluetooth headset when I'm out. WiFi is turned off on the phone when I leave home so it shouldn't doesn't interfere. The other thing is that everything works fine when I do the same with my SGS1 so the only change is my SGS2 handset.
If there is WiFi or Bluetooth interference then why does it not exhibit on the SGS1?
I did try rebooting the phone and power cycling the headphones initially but this didn't work. Strangely it all started working after a phone reboot and has been working perfectly since.

Hello, I have a smiliar ussue. Bluetooth is randomly disconnects

Hi,
Lately I have a problem which occurs somewhere after installing one of the latest Roms.
The Bluetooth connection to my incar Radio is unreliable.
Sometimes it connects sometimes it doesn't.
When I'm making the first call, it works just fine, but the second call, doesn't go through the Bluetooth to the radio.
Going to Bluetooth setting, the car radio seems to be connected, but it doesn't work.
What can be done to solve this annoying matter?
Thanks,
Amir.
