Is there a reg hack so to scroll in smaller increments? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I have the 4-way button set to scroll in my IE. Is there a hack so that it can scroll in smaller increments rather than a whole screen at a time? It'd be less annoying when reading short paragraphs that get cut off.

Only for IE (which normally jumps links when using up/down):
Code:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Navigation\4-Way Nav = 0 (DWORD decimal)
Edit: Gah - actually, that's wrong. That makes it change from link-to-link to PgUp/PgDn. No 'small scroll' at all. Sorry about that :|

Do we need these registry hacks with the new ROM (AKU2)?
Is there a hack to put the date & time in the title bar on ALL screens (including the today screen)?

I actually installed the date & time reg hack from this thread in the Universal forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=41968
It works on my Prophet with AKU 2.0, but it shows the date in European format (e.g., 28 . 03 for March 28). Hate to be a stupid American, but I'd prefer the month and day switched to 3-28. I wonder if that's possible?[/url]

hi there, i believe you can still change the date representation in regional settings.
Tried the software on a Pro flashed S200 ROM, however, i still have the battery on the today screen. On other apps, it works fine.
Also, with wm5 v 2 (the one with aku2), i can't seem to get phone pad to start as default.
tried this already:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SIP
"DefaulfIM" --> {51A2CB38-154E-4C92-A625-A83871C99EC2}
Although the key remains the same after reboots, and its the same key that's found in CLSID, the keyboard is defaulted after every reboot.

Yes, the keyboard is default no matter what reg hacks I try either. Tweaks2k2 and sktools tweaks don't work either. I think it's a wm5 thing and I can't figure it out.

Scrolling line-by-line instead of page-by-page

Is there any way of getting apps like IE and mail to scroll line-by-line instead of page-by-page when using the d-pad? I find it very difficult to read long pages because of the way the text jumps when scrolling!
Only for IE (which normally jumps links when using up/down):
Code:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Navigation\4-Way Nav = 0 (DWORD decimal)
Edit: Gah - actually, that's wrong. That makes it change from link-to-link to PgUp/PgDn. No 'small scroll' at all. Sorry about that :|
maybe you can use smartskey to activate volume controller button act like page down

Date and Time on Task BAR?!?

hey guys, i used this:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Change the display of the clock in the taskbar
The clock in the taskbar can be changed to show not only the time, but also the date, or just the date, or nothing at all.
To show nothing:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt = 0 (DWORD decimal)
To show just the clock:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt = 1 (DWORD decimal)
To show just the date:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt = 2 (DWORD decimal)
To show both the date and the clock:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt = 3 (DWORD decimal)
Note 1: If you switch to the Analog clock display, the date will remain visible -through- the Analog clock
Note 2: Setting the clock to show 'nothing' will still keep the reserved space, showing the taskbar background, and obscure any icons that will shift to the right.
Note 3: Your date may get obscured by the space reserved for the OK/Close button in the top-right. You can fix this my adding spaces at the end of your 'Short Date Format'. See also the tweak on 'Change the Short Date Format'
---------------------------------------------------------
BUT it doesn't work. I have the new 2.23 aku rom. Can anyone help?
After you change your registry.
Switch your unit off/on (preferably let it be still for 2-3 minutes)
And perform a soft reset. It should work.
If it doesn't, go back into your registry and check if the values are still there (e.g. if the values have been changed back to the original state). If that's the case, you ought to wait a bit longer. WM5 tend to delay the write into the registry.

Rotation:
Right-handed:
HKLM\System\GDI\Rotation\LandscapeMode = 1 (DWORD decimal) (already like that)
Left-handed:
HKLM\System\GDI\Rotation\LandscapeMode = 4 (DWORD decimal)
i want that as i guess it spins the display so the start is near the green botton?
i have tried to no avail
ne sugestions?
anyone????
Well I find if I go into
start - settings - system - screen
and select Landscape there, the display switches the way you want, all other applications seem to make it switch the other way.
However I appreciate that's a bit of a long method to achieve the result you want.
how i want it is button side in my left hand screen used by my right
how you say to go is right hand holding left using the stick
dont want that

Add time & date instead of the battery icon

Hi all, on my M3100 there was a program called pimp my black which allowed you to not only get rid of the annoying battery icon and replace it with the time but also the date in the top right of the screen. Does anyone know how of if this is possible on the Touch Dual yet?
thanks
I would like this as well.
To show both the date and the clock:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt = 3 (DWORD decimal)
JIC you might need more.
To show just the clock:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt = 1 (DWORD decimal)
To show both the date:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt = 2 (DWORD decimal)

Change taskbar back.
If TBOpt is not there, create a key by the same name.
then add the dword (decimal) 3
ok that works! for others you will need to set "ShowTitleBarClock"=1 otherwise it gets a little congessted in that area!

OK I created a New Key under Shell and then while it was highlighted I pressed edit at bottom of screen and pressed "New DWORD Value" and under "Value Name" I entered TBOpt and in "Value data:" I entered 3 and the "Base" was Decimal. IS THIS CORRECT???

Sorry not the fastest with this stuff, where do I find "ShowTitleBarClock" so I can change the setting?
What you need to do is create a new DWORD value (TBOpt) under the Shell key, do not create a new key. Under the current Shell key you should only have the value ShowTitleBarClock which is what you need to change and the TBOpt value you created.
Thanks heaps, all is working now.
One last question, I have the date above the time which is fine but the date is 6/01/0 the last digit is missing, is there a way to edit this to fix the problem or even get rid of the year as I can usually remember what year it is but month and date I need very bad.......
Hmm mine is using UK time so the format only cuts of the last digit of the year for me. It uses the Short date format from within the Date tab within regional settings so maybe you can alter that to appear like mine? the weird thing is on my M3100 it is set exactly the same but instead of showing 05/01/08 it only shows 05 Jan, weird. Maybe someone else knows
That would be perfect, that format "5 Jan" ..... Does anyone know how to get this format for the date?

Goto settings\regional settings and under the "Date" Tab:
For short Date choose one of the presets: dd-MMM-yy
for "Date Seperator", choose space instead of the default "-" (dash).
Unfortunately you can't change the presets, so the option suggested above is the closest you can get.

So far I've managed to get no less than two battery indicators when I'm on the home screen, and one when in a program.
What I want is neither clock or battery indicator on the title bare.
I'm running mobile 6, and have tried to set the TbOption in HKLM\software\ms\shell to 0, and the ShowTitleBarClockthingy to 0. This results in a empty space where the clock used to be, and a somewhat sluggish performance, as well as the icon next to (signal strength) to be cut in half, so not a good solution at all.
So I tried to remove the new key, and use KaizerTweak, which resulted in good performance, but two indicators... me confused be
All I wanted was nothing!
Sort of new to WinMobile 6, so It's probably some noobism in me as well.
