Auto configuration problem - SOLVED - iPAQ rw6828, XDA Atom General

in the HKCU/AutoConfig/Network, find XPath string n change it to ur network operator number. u can see ur operator number (5 digits usually) wen u launch autoconfig, next to the "Detected from SIM" text. u can also see the operator number from the DetectNet or NetworkID keys in HKCU/AutoConfig/Network.. now, u dont see the annoying auto config msg everytime u soft reset ur 'mighty' atom.. 8)

ah thanks!
btw, if you can't find XPath string value, just create one.

Thanks ppl! The auto configurator problem Was quite a nagging one.. awesome solve!

How to change speed dial setting in intelli dialer ???

Once again I need your help, pls.;
Inside intellidialer there is the option to set up speed dial numbers.
How can pre installed number "one" be changed? For examle to my mailboxnumber, not to the preinstalled voicemail number.
Any ideas?
Thanx
I guess you can only change it be altering the network services :-(
Is it this one?
HKCU > Software > Microsoft > Vmail
V
V,
It is, though changing the Value does exactly the same as updating the Voicemail number in the services settings.

Did we want to change something else?
I've never used the SpeedDial, so forgive my unfamiliarity!
V
V,
I'm not sure what happens when you change the value. You can upload it to your provider & I guess your network settings could be really messed up. This is one of the ways to change it, that's correct. But the result ...? Well it's up to thormdac what to do with it.
Btw How's mrs V? Still grounded. I am

It is.
To be more exact, the voicemail number should be a REG_SZ (string) value next to name 'Phonenumber1'.
(No clue where the 'Phonenumber2' stands for.
On some networks the update via the services menu does not work (ie on my network: T-Mobile NL). Therefore I have put a cab in my ExtROM that sets just this value.
God I wish I was grounded!
I'm still in the office working extremely late on a horrible task that's likely to take most of the night, and tomorrow). For about the first time in a loooong time, I don't think I'm donig any programming tonight.
Can't wait for the weekend
I doubt changing your speed dial would change anything at your operator's end. You can probably just examine one of the cabs that contains operator settings (if you don't have one, search for buymobilephones.net on the board, I've posted a few). I imagine they change the voicemail speed dial themselves.

Gee,
I thought i was pretty routined with my mda.
My question came up after changing from german rom to wwe matmnl_11300_132_11200. Thereafter I noticed the voicemail number being setup as a netherlandsnumber. It was even loadede to my service provider. So the idea was to simply erase speed dial number one which you cant.
Now I edited the number in my systemsettings and uploaded it to my provider. Voila, works.
Only thing I cant change is the name of speeddial one. Ill try registry idea from edsub.
Thanx for your numerous help.
Changing the name is out of my league. Or in other words: can't find it, it might be stored in the intellidialer app.

Disable SMS Wake Up Event

I do not want the screen to wake from standby when my phone recieves a new SMS. I tried the reg edit below with no success on my 3600 running WM6.
Location in Registry : HK_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL
Select "New" D_Word and you will be asked to enter the details :
Top portion just enter : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent
and bottom portion just enter the value : 1
Can anyone suggest another method?
Thanks.

Need help- just bought an X1

Sorry but I searched and cannot find answers-
A few questions:
I have tmobile in the usa (oregon) with a black sony x1i
1) Issue- I am coming from a Sam BJ2- I use exch server for email, contacts, etc. When I set up my X1 with my exchange info- everything worked nicely-
But some of my contacts that are smsing me do not show their contact name only the #. I think it might be cause some have the 1 (XXX) and some dont have the 1. How can I fix this as I have 600 contacts?? Please help
I noticed that the phone wont dial a # without the 1 in front of it-
2) on my BJ2 - when I wanted to call, email or text someone- I would start typing their name and I would choose from the list as I am typing. I cant do that with the xperia- typing doesnt do anything- How do people quickly search for a contact???
3) Is there a seperate box that shows on the home screen when SMS's come in as opposed to 1 message box with a red #? I would like to see if its an email or sms.
Thx in advance
In regards to 1, have you tried selecting "United States" in the regional settings?
Yes I set it to USA english-
Also where is the battery indicator on the home screen??
Thx
1) thats a calling ID setting... there is nothing you can do about it except you go change the contact number and add or remove the 1 before the area code... the phone is just trying to match whatever the caller ID is to your contact list... if it is not the same it wont display it.... I have had that problem on my BJ2 too and I had to change all those contacts as well
2) I can do so by sliding out the keyboard and start typing the name and call... not sure if you are doing the samething or you are trying to get the soft keyboard out to type...
3) I have a sms or email notification showing up on the bottom of the screen whenever I receive them.... otherwise the sonyericsson panel have a option to display them I think

How to see only device contact ?

As title says what do i have to do to see inly device contacts... i go to filter select Device contacts.. but when i exit and enter again i see both sim and device contacts... and i am tired to delete the contacts from sim..

Best regards

Hi,
That is correct. I used it on my Mega & now only phone contacts are visible.
Dang, yesterday i was playing with this. I copied my sim contacts to phone memory for the first time and it cant show only phone contacts, it shows all of them, strange.
Use a registery editor and go to following key : HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone\ShowSIM and modify it from 1 to 0

[solved] How to set sms service number?

Since yesterday my hero doesn't receive sms, only sends... Any one knows how to set again my operator's number (I'm under 3 Italia)?
just open your phone app and type *#*#4636#*#*
don't call wait for somting to open after that press phone info or soming like that (the top 1 ) afther that scroll down there is a box if you put the number there it wil do and press save
p.s. don't know the real translation of it form dutch
Entering the sms centre number doesn't affect incoming sms does it? Have you spoke to your network provider?
Tried your sim card in another handset?
Sent from my HTC Hero using XDA App

Thank's to both, but the solution was that you indicated. I had a new rom installed without normal messaging app, and that - I believe - wiped somewhere the center number. Even changing the sim, all continued the same. But reinstalling the center service number in that hidden menu resolved...
