Did not find correct flash signature

Hi guys,
Hoping someone can help with this problem. I tried backing up CE+Boot to an SD this evening and then reading it via XDArit. XDArit seems to locate the SD card but when I try and save the images to file I get the following errors:
Failed device: 4
Did not find correct flash signature, aborting!
Any ideas?
My XDA is a PW10A1 running ROM 3.17.03 & Radio 4.21.00
Cheers, Malachi
what matters is your bootloader version. I know of 4 different versions: 5.14, 5.15, 5.17, 5.22.
with 5.17 being the difficult one, you need the wallaby-patch-loader to disable the flash-key protection that it uses.
I have the same problem then I can't backup the Rom image. Anyone can help?
My XDA - PW10A1. CE 3.16.10 CHT (Chinese Rom) and Radio stack 4.21.00

Problems with new MDA2

ok, i just got a new mda2 from t-mobile (460eur for a non-simlocked version is a good deal, i think)...
of course, its in german so i wanted to flash it to english (like i did on my old mda1)...
but...there are some strange things...
of course, model is ph10a, but:
ROM version says 1.03.00 GER (date 09/25/03)
Radio version is 1.05.12
Protocol version is 1337.12
i've tried placing a new rom on a sd card, but cannot get it to boot - i simply cannot get bootloader to start...
and i've tried adaptrom, but that one (once the file signatures are ok) always complains with error: GetDeviceData - Unspeficied error
(if the mda2 is not properly connected, it says so - this error is after the usb connection is perfect)
any suggestions? i'm running out of ideas...

ROM date : 02/04/04

You have to flash your device via SD-Card and Bootloader.

Hello, but I thought some of the users in this forum did unlock without using SD card, may be I am wrong.
One more request what type of SD card XDA takes, either plain SD card or SD/MMC card.
Help appriciated.

I tried to unlock and can't. I tried the XDAUnlock tool and the special edition ROM. I never got a message if I wanted to unlock it. I have radio versionA.20.11 Is this the problem? If it is is there easy directions to use.
By XDAUnlock are you referring to the Unlock Wizard in the XDA-Developers Wiki?

Have a look here as well:

When I run the file it does ask me if I want to unlock. However I get an error message unknown deviece type PW10A1 see xdadev_all_unlock.log file for details. Where is that log?
You used the wrong file.
You have to use XDAunlock. Directlink is here:

Maybe it's a problem with the radio stack version.
ROM-Version is the right one.
You could try changing your Radio Version and retry the xdaunlock tool again.
I think you have a PW10B-device (check rear sticker) so you have to use the 6.xx Radio-Versions
Download an Upgrade for your device. RSU Version 6.24.20 -> ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wallaby/Radio_Stack/RSU_V6.24.20_PPC.zip
Extract the downloaded ZIP-File and copy all files to the /Windows directory of your device.
Copy the RSUpgrade.exe additional to the /windows/startup directory.
Make an soft reset of your device.
Place your device in the cradle. Run Active Sync on your device.
The RSU Upgrade will run in the background.
Wait for about 10 Minutes. The upgrade should complete in the background....
Afterwards try again the xdaunlock tool.
HTH
Stefan
PS: ATTENTION Flashing Radio Version and/or ROM could end your device as a paperweigth. So it's your own risk....
This link does not work. Page can't be displayed. Is there another way to get the download. And by the way did I thank you for all of your help!!!!
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Wallaby/Radio_Stack/
Choose 6,24.20 stack zip file.
To log in use "xda" and "xda"
I can't open the page it says this:The page cannot be displayed. Is it not available for a reason?
If you are using internet explorer, once the blank page appears, right click on page and choose "log in" user name xda, password xda.
I tried everything. When I tried the RSUpgrade I received this error. Cannot find 'RSUpgrade' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available. Help me if you can!!!!

O2 Xda Orbit - The Image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility

Hi folks!
I have a O2 Xda Orbit (in the wiki, the cruiser version).
Whenever I run the update tool to update whatever (splash screen gsm radio version, rom) it spits out this error:
The Image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility
What is wrong?
Device details:
ROM Version: 3.4.206.2 WWE
ROM Date: 4/18/2007
Radio Version: 02.67.90
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.28
-
Thanks in advance
Are you in Windows Vista? (Try Windows XP)
Do you have an SDHC card? (Take it off)
And don't forget to run USPL before you flash anything.
Also you can search for a newer version of the update utility (although I don't know if that will work).
thanks for replying
Hi!
First, thanks for replying.
USPL is the one that makes my screen show a tux pinguin, right? (how cool... can we run linux on that? )
if I run uspl firts it freezes showing a penguin and its not connected to computer via activesync, therefore not able to connect with rom updater
I will try to remove sdhc card
