Universal problem after software installation - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Hi all,
today I've installed the Phone Profiles software because I would like to have a better management of my profiles during the day, well! After a phone reset my universal (orange m5000 with the wwe upgrade installed) freeze everytime and I can't do anything.
I'm looking for a possible solution to restore it I would like to make a format or another upgrade on it, please can somebody tell me how to make this?
It'll be very appreciated.
Thanksss to all!!!

some times a find a few soft resets in a row have helped to unfreeze my machine. Usually they have to be reset again about 4 times in a row before the today screen or any buttons appear at all.
otherwise, when the machine has actually booted up, i have a window of opportunity being about 3 - 5 seconds before complete lock up to quickly find explorer and delete the file from startup, or remove the item from the today screen. you have to be really quick, and it usually helped as I always immediately put explorer in the start menu.
if all else fails and you are in total and utter complete lock up and have no option, you can perform a hard reset and completely start again. hold down the two soft keys (dashes normally for calendar and contacts), whilst simultaneously pressing the soft reset button with your stylus at the back of the device.

I backed up my M5000 with SPBBackup and then proceeded to install the Orange update. Failed the first time, but succeeded the second time around.
Tried to restore my files, and SPBBackup says should not restore as backup from different system -- did a restore anyway. Upon reset, M5000 hangs and hangs and hangs. Just will not start up.
Have had to do hard-reset number of times and need to re-install apps.

None of the Backup programs for WM5 support Restoring to an UPGRADED ROM.
They will only work if you restore to the same ROM version. If you upgrade or downgrade, the restore will not work

Won't boot after making SPB Backup

Who can help me with the following:
I'm back using Midget's Crossbow ROM and I was just finished installing everything, which after I wanted to make a full backup with SPB Backup (I made the usual string in the register to skip '\windows\compimeh.dat').
The backup completes and the device goes into soft reset the way it should do, but after the screen turns off, it won't turn on again.
For a second the device looked bricked. The power button didn't do anything, the soft reset switch didn't force a restart...
But when I plug in the charger and then press the soft reset button, the device decides to reboot the proper way again, sometimes with only one press of the soft reset switch, sometimes with a little more.
How can this be? I used Midget's Crossbow ROM (and almost all others) before and I never encountered a problem like this before.
Has this something to do with the new Radio ROM 1.13.00, which came with my previously installed JWRight Crossbow? (My original radio was 1.09.00).
Thanks a ton!!

I need HELP! Think I bricked my Hermes

okay quick breakdown... I bought a Cingular 8525 unlocked this past saturday, and i love it! OKay so i loaded Resco Registry on the phone because i wanted to take away the start up image and the start up sound because it was annoying. So in doing so, i editted out the registry, and got rid of the annoying sound, and i used "splat.wav". and put a pic of my car up there. Now I restarted it, the device turns on, the device info shoes up with the AT&T Logo, and the wav file doesnt load, and my background image is there now, but it just stays there.. nothing happens after that. It just stays on that same screen. Did i just basically ruin my phone and in return got a very expensive paper weigh? Please let me know if there is a safe mode or something for me to revert these actions...
You might have deleted some registry entry or file that Windows Mobile needs. You can either figure out that these might be or just reinstall the ROM file.
You would lose any data that you saved to the phone UNLESS you saved the data to the Storage Card (MicroSD) Memory.
From your description, you have not bricked it.
You normally brick a phone when you get a 'No GSM' error or Missing IMEI and CID.
Good luck.

I agree it does not sound bricked so yeah a hard reset to reinstall ROM.
Mike
that's the problem. I try to re-flash it, with the latest cingular rom, but it doesnt boot up into windows. It just stays on that screen. =(
Ah.. that's different. Thought you had just changed a few reg entries. You will need the help of the ROM Gurus - that's not me!

You can hold down two buttons when powering it up and it will enter the flasher mode. I forget which two, but keep trying to hold down the "hard buttons" (buttons 1-5, not any on the keyboard) while powering it up or doing a soft reset. One combination will erase everything like a hard reset, the other combination will bring you into bootloader mode to get a flash going.
This worked on the wizard, and I swear I've done it once by accident on the Hermes.
the power button and the ok button
The power button on the right of the Hermes and the OK button on the left, just below the scroll wheel are what put it into flash mode.
thanks guys, i performed a hard reset and it now works... now i have to reinstall every piece of program that i had installed before.. THANKS!

Trinity stuck at hard reset

My Trinity is stuck at the hard reset screen where it says "Press SEND to restore factury default, press END to quit". I've tried to hard reset it as it told me to, but it's still stuck. I've also tried to flash it with a new ROM, but that's hard as it's unable to establish an activesync connection. Is there any way I can fix this myself ?

Have you got to the multi coloured screen after doing the hard reset (Power button+Camera button+soft reset)? If yes then you should be able to plug your Trinity into the PC and flash a Rom.
I had a similar problem while trying to flash a new rom and this worked for me. You could also try removing the battery for more than 3 secs then powering up and attempting the above tasks. Best of luck, most of all don't give up and keep searching the forums.
No, it just went back to the hard reset screen again. But I found out, I placed the buttons wrong when I changed them, so the two softbuttons were pressed all the time. It's fixed now.
ANYONE PRO one can help ME plz...........
Why My HTC WIZARD Not Enough battery energy is it will stuck back at hard reset ??

Phone is always starting as a first time...

Hi to all of You...
I have a tattoo. I have done root, and make nand backup (by maverix). Phone have worked well for a week or so. I putted IGO, and modified data.gro. Everything was beautiful. I have turned off phone for a couple of times, and turn it on with no problems (for a week). Today, my battery have died, and when i putted on a charger, phone turned on, but was in a state same as when i bought it. It asked me for language, my mail... I have done everything. When it was "alive", i realized that i have no more any program, no messages, my phonebook was like in a time i have done backup (approximately). Now, every time I restart my phone, it comes back with anything (like it is brand new). When I try do do restore (hold home + power button and then in Backup/restore, ---> Nand Restore) it is impossible. When i pick restore that i want to do (BDS-20100521-2024) it start doing it and then prompt : Error run 'nanodroid-mobile.sh" via adb!
Can somebody please help me with this problem.
Thank You very much!!!!!
Try flashing the stock rom. Might solve your issues.

HELP! HD2 wont boot up after hard reset (or attempts to hard reset)

This is my third hard reset and the first 2 times I was not that peeved at all but this time around I am quite pissed at this phone! I was careful with what I am installing and it was after getting the latest TMO update. Btw, I have TMOUS and stock (newer one). Anyway, I was not even doing anything at all when my phone froze, I was simply going to turn off the alarm (I use SPB Time).
Anyway, I soft reseted and it is stuck at the Stick Together screen. Tried many times and no luck so I just thought, wth, just hard reset.
The first two times I hard reseted, it was automatic since I got a message on my phone but this time there was no message so I decided to use the volume buttons and the end key button. The first time I tried it, I ended up with the tricolor screen and nothing. No message about 'this will erase blah blah.' I tried again several hours later and it finally gave me the message about pressing the volUP button to proceed with hard reset so I did. And after just TWO seconds, I saw RESTORE COMPLETE, press volUP to boot so I did and NOTHING. I am still stuck at the Tmobile Stick Together screen after reboot!!! I did this three times (volUP, endkey, hard reset, volUP) and it was always fast. I don't remember it being that fast before.
Can someone please just tell me what I can do to just get it work again? Does this mean I just bricked this frickin' phone??? I have not flashed a ROM (except perhaps to do the TMOUS update). Can I still make this work?
(I don't know where to post this so I apologize if this is the wrong one. But I thought since a lot of people are flashing their roms in this thread, someone have seen something similar to mine and can help).
I love this phone but this is ridiculous.
things to try

Try removing your memory card and doing hard reset. If that doesnt work try removing both memory card and your sim card and doing a hard reset. If that doesnt work try loading an original stock LEOIMG.nbh file onto your memory card and flashing from your memory card.
BTW, should be BOTH up and down volume keys and power button to get to hard reset screen. Then volume up to restore.
Hope that helps.

I did mean volume UP and DOWN. Anyway, I tried your suggestions but same result. Still stuck.
So I proceed as if I am updating to the newer T-Mobile version. I followed the steps posted here:
http://support.t-mobile.com/doc/tm54430.xml?
However, when it came to the part where I had to make sure I have active sync established, I actually could not tell as it shows on my PC that I am not connected but at this point I really have nothing to lose. However, that said, in bootloader mode on my phone I see USB when I connect the phone to PC and then it reverts to SERIAL when I disconnect. So I thought, what the heck, it seems to be connected. AND VOILA, I was able to flash using TMO's updated ROM (the one I had just before all these mishap). WHEW! As much as I hate hard resets, I'd take it over bricking.
Thank God for TMo's excellent instructions on that site. I tried reading the instructions for flashing here and I just could not understand all these SPL, HARDSPL2 crap.
If I have to do another hard reset after I set this all up again I am going to scream!!!
