Screen Taps - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Does anyone know how to turn off the annoying "tap" sound when you select the start menu? I don't want to disable any other sounds just the annoying tap when you use the stylus to tap the screen.

Anyone know how to Turn off phone pad tones?

Morning All,
I've searched for this - but can't find anything.
I do quite alot of texting, and find the phone pad input with t9 predictive text best most of the time. But that awful tone it outputs on every button press is driving me mad! Does anyone know how to turn it off?
I'm guessing it must be a registry setting somewhere?
Or even better still. Anyone know of any third party phone style keyboard inputs which support predictive text, but with bigger buttons (which you can turn off tones!) which I could use instead.
I really miss being able to do easy one handed texting, and would love an easier input method....
Thanks,
Paul
On any form of input, click on the little 'up arrow' (e.g. the one which lets you choose the input methods that you wanted to use). Among the list, like "Keyboard", "Block Recognizer", there is an "Options..." at the top. Choose it.
Then, choose the keypad input method at "Input method:" and click on the "Options..." just at the bottom. Uncheck the "Turn on screen tap sound".
Actually I find that useful. Difficult to know if you have pressed the right button on a flat screen without tapping sounds.
Fantastic!
So obvious - now I feel silly for not noticing the options option
Here you go
Setting -> Menu -> All Settings -> Personal -> Phone -> Keypad: Off.
Have fun
Settings > System > Sounds - Turn key clicks off.

Screen taps sounds

Despite having screen taps turned off, when tapping on Start and any menu items, I still get the 'click'.
All other screen taps are silent.
Is it this way for everyone? Is there a fix for this?
Those taps are windows event sounds. You can disable them by unticking the Events(warnings, system events) in Sounds & Notifications. Ofcourse you'll lose all other events.
Thanks Miguel, that sorted it.

¸¸.•*¨*•.¸¸ screen activation option with BT ear set

Is there a way in which I can keep the screen locked while a BlueTooth ear set is being used in order to keep the active screen from opening other programs and calling others while in my pocket?
I believe if you hit the settings menue at the bottom left corner it says "LOCK SCREEN"
I'm failing to find "lockscreen"
clicking the "menu" button under the settings tab only brings up "all settings"
Is there another way to find lockscreen or did you, by chance, leave out a few steps?
Rudy.

Lock screen short cuts at the bottom.

Does anybody know how to change the lock screen shortcut keys in the bottom pull up menu? Right now it's voice recorder, calculator ,camera.
As far as I can see this is not possible.

Double tap to unlock

Hi Guys,
Is there a way we can have native double tap to unlock?
I know that there are applications, but these work in a really dumb way (imho) as they leave the screen ON.
Any other ideas
just tap twice at home button to wake up the phone
Push down on the bottom of the screen with a little bit of force and see some magic
