XDA2i - Poor Sound Quality on Bluetooth headset - PDA2, XDA IIi, 2020i Software Upgrading

Hi all,
I've been shadowing this forum for ages now - thanks to all who have helped get my XDA2i working.
I now have one final problem: the sound quality on any bluetooth headset paired to my XDA2i has recently got a lot worse. It now sounds like listening to a badly tuned shortwave radio, with loads of static and bleeping noises.
I am using O2's 1.11.169 ROM. I have tried loading pug's 1.04 radio only over the 1.00 radio to no effect.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks
philt

Appalling Bluetooth conversation quality

Does anyone else find the Bluetooth signal quality to a Bluetooth Headset to be absoultely awful? Since switching to the Xda Mini S, my previously trusty Jabra BT250 now gives broken conversations, glitches, etc. causing me to have to repeat myself half the time :x
Any ideas?
Yep.. Same problem here using a Jabra JX10 Headset.
Qtek 1.6.7.1 WWE
Anyone else experiencing this as well as us, and any word from O2 on when it might be fixed and an update released?
It has rendered my Jabra headset not worth using

Jabra BT500 and Qtek 9000, XDA Exec, M5000 etc....

So I have been reading many many posts about bluetooth static while on a call and the phone being very close to the headset. I have similar problems with my PDA2k.
I also carry a blackberry 7105t and the bluetooth is flawless and very clear.
With the new release of Qtek AKU2 ROM 1.30.77 1.30.176 1.09.00 WWE
Which Radio version is best for the USA and T-Mobile?
Does the Radio have "anything" to do with the Bluetooth clarity (static in the earpiece between the xda and the bt500)?
I am on the phone ALL DAY and can not hold any phone to my head so I need my bt500 to work well with whatever i buy and so this is the last thing i need to clear up before i make the purchase. Any help is appreciated. FISH
Anyone?
Seriously no one uses the Jabra bt500 - it is an AWESOME headset. You could play any sport with it in and it wont fall out and the clarity is perfect - WITH THE RIGHT PHONE.
Please someone chime in here........
FISH
The BT 500 is one of the best headsets out there, if you are getting static try re-pairing your headset.
Jabra official support will tell you that the phone should be on the same side as the headset.
If it's too bad I would try to have Jabra swap it out under warranty.
How can i repair?¿?
Thanks
You can't repair you can try to delete the partnership and then pair it again.
thanks, but it´s solved the stactic ?¿?

Cingular 8125 and A2DP Hissing Sound

Hi,
I have been all around this forum and tried all the different kinds of things to fix the a2dp. I have installed the cabs, tried AKU rom, tried the widcomm stack.
The only thing with somewhat success was using the widcomm stack, which improved the quality to a reasonable degree, but then my headset will not work with calls. Call audio still comes through the phone instead of the headset.
Has anyone been successful in making the headset work without the hiss, or to make the widcomm stack work with calls and with music? And maybe there are settings u can change for widcomm like there were for the MS stack to make the hiss go away?..
I don't know what to do, can someone share their experience and how they got their HT820 and 8125 working with good sound quality (no hissing)
Thanks for your help,
Riley
same problem
Yes, I have the same problem with the hissing sound! I got a Moto HT820 running with all the features it has but it souds awful. Especially the clanking snare drum in some music tracks crack my ears .
I have installed the tornado_a2dp.cab from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=263745. Most in that thread don't complain about the sound. Further more they say it's great. What can I do?
Have QTek GER, CE2.18.7, ExtRom 2.18, Radio 2.07.10 on my device.
You see my English is exclusively school made I hope you understand me out there.
Anyone have an idea or solve the problem? Maybe another .cab or some with better sound?
It has everything to do with the headset you're using.
I used the tornado hack and didn't complain about sound at all because my A2DP headsets sound great! In fact, as good if not better than wired speakers...
Problem is, I later tried an i.tech R35, and it sounded awful... suddenly there's a hiss and ping distortion that wasn't there on my other A2DP headsets, yet they sound great when paired with a nokia phone or my PC for music.
Apparently, there is an incompatibility between MS A2DP and certain headset implementations. Something to do with the compression... anyway, no amount of tweaking has helped yet. We need someone at MS to re-write the compression codec, and that simply hasn't happened. Since some headsets DO work fine, I believe Microsoft has denied that there is a problem!

Bluetooth Handfree Issue

Hi Everybody,
I am using the X01HT which running with
Rom : 2.05.255.1
Radio Ver. 1.34.00.10
The problem is my friend said that my speech sound very poor (the background sound very strong )
when my phone is connected with the BT Handfree.
Just wanna know how the chase the problem is from my handfree or my phone.
furthermore, Is it possible to check my handfree is running real A2DP (Stereo sound )
my Handfree info: http://www.itechdynamic.com/en/products_spec.asp?cid=2&pid=02050
sorry for my poor english
Your english is fine
This not an area I know much about but the following may be of use:

Try using search as there are several posts on this kind of problem.
Mike
You can check A2DP by playing a song that is in stereo. Anything with an obvious sound in the right channel will do, as if A2DP is not working it will only be playing in mono.
Also, the little icon in the taksbar will show a headset with a music note inside of it if A2DP is working.
The sound problems you mention are probably due to the quality of the headset. Try it on another phone or try a different headset on your phone.
I am using the same ROM and radio and my BT works great. (AKU 3.3)
I use both the Nokia HS-12W and a HTC BHS 100.
A2DP will give true stereo in WMP10. Strange I found the Registry still set to mono, so I had to change that for stereo.
The call quality both incomming and outgoing is great with these headsets as well.
The HTC also allows you to use your favourite earphones as well.(3.5mm jack)
Hope this assists.
Thanks
Thanks all first.
Yesterday, I did some stupid test about the voice quality,
I used the recording function in Note to record my own sound near the TV in my home, and found it was not bad.
However, then I went out use the BT headset again, but my friend said, dont use it again, my sound really poor
After that, I bought a BT dongle to try to test my BT headwith in my computer, but the Dongle comes with the bad BT management Driver, called XTNDCoonect Blue Manager.
Do you all have the widcomm software and send it to me ?
I dont know it is against the policy in the forum.

Motorola S9 Bluetooth headset and P3600/S300: A2DP Problem

Hi all,
Well, after hours trying to search in this forum for a solution to the most common problem with our trinity, the A2DP profile to enjoy our music... I'm like in the beggining: I can't hear my music in my headset, only some sounds and calls.
I'm not sure, due the big number of post I read, about the correct patch/hack/app that I must install, so please, I need advice for this settings:
Trinity: AKA S300 from Vodafone Spain,
WM5,
Original ROM 1.23.164.7
Radio:1.33.00.01
Headset: Motorola S9
I Tried before with zoki A2DP, but doesn't works. So please, before installing any other thing, have you got any advice?
Thanks a lot, regards
Same Problem
Hi,
I´ve had problem with Morotola S9. The bluetooth lost audio for a few seconds. Them returns for a few seconds.
Some Ideia ?
Hi all,
Well, good and bad news about my problem
The good one is that after uninstall zoki's hack and install HTweakC 2.0, execute the tweaks of A2DP, I get my music sounds through the s9
the bad is that I can only hear music in stereo and calls in mono (only by the left ear). Videos doesn't go through headset: simply the sound goes to speaker, like if no headset are connected.
Any idea about this? TIA, regards
