waselmnet for wasel prepaid
Modem Type Cellular line(GPRS)
Dont' forget that GPRS in UAE is bloody expensive as hell.About 11 Dirham/1 MB.So figure it out by yourself.

UAE GPRS Setting
Access Point Name (APN) mnet
Username Mnet
Password Mnet
IP assigned
DNS 1 194.170.1.6

For the APN, just type in "etisalat.ae" and leave the other fields blank.
I think it costs 2 fils per kb....

Vodafone GPRS setup

Hi,
I have an unlocked XDA using a Vodafone GPRS sim. I have followed the directions posted on this board to configure the GPRS and when I connect through the system settings, connections I (for a short while) get the 'G' symbol appear and then I get a connection dropped sound.
Is this due to a poor connection, or is there something wrong with the setup?

UK Vodafone GPRS
I have had all sorts of fun with Vodafone GPRS recently. It used to work then it packed up about a month ago for no apparent reason. After 6 calls to Vodafone support and all the usual hassle with trying to convince them that an O2 XDA will work with Vodafone it turned out they had disabled my GPRS account without telling me.
It took a further two calls to get the APN internet renabled. It seems that GPRS means WAP access to Vodafone, not necessarily internet access through an APN. Worth giving them a call to make sure you account is fully enabled for internet as well as WAP.

Virgin AU Internet Settings

Any Ozzie out there running the Virgin Mobile sim and has the set up config for internet & MMS?
I beleive they use the Optus network, but do not offer the WM based phones therefore Virgin offer no support.....
go to the connection part in settings and add new internet connection, for connection name call it virgininternet and click celluler line gprs/3g. call the access point name virgininternet again. onthe next part about domain name and passwordjust leave it blank and click finish. should now connect.
no idea about mms though

Afghanistan MTN (Areeba) Settings?

I've got an unlocked AT&T Tilt running Ultimate X V6 rom.
I'm in lowgar afghanistan and I'm trying to configure my phone to connect to their access point. I called them up and they gave me the following information...
APN: internet.mtn.com.af
User: wap
Pass: wap
number: *99***1#
ip 192.168.4.145
I've setup two separate connections (one using the APN name via gprs and one using the dial in number via cellular line) neither one seems to work.
I don't know what to do with the ip... I'm thinking it's a proxy for their internal wap sites but who knows...
I've disabled HSPDA. When I try to connect to the APN I get a message that there is no modem on the line. when I connect to the number I get a message that it cannot connect for an unknown reason.
Does anyone here have working settings for MTN afghan? Or know what I need to do to make this work?
Areeba
Don't use the username or password. All you need to program is the APN and proxy. I am not sure how familiar you are with Windows Mobile, but plugging in those two will take you where you want to go. Have been using Areeba internet on my unlocked T-Mobile Wing for 3 months and all is well.
RE: MTN Afghanistan
I am using MTN Areeba with Nokia 95 8GB,
I got settings from Network and it works fine.
Here is the more detail info about Setting up MTN Areeba Manually and other manual.

[Q] GPRS on DVP while abroad

Hi,
I've unlocked T-Mobile DVP and I am currently on business in Asia. My operator here has GPRS (no 3G).
Here are my operator settings -
Account name: INTERNET
APN: TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET
Proxy Address : 0.0.0.0
Port : 0
User ID : Blank
Password : Blank
These same settings work on HTC Mozart on my associates phone but I can't configure these on DVP. Is there a way to create new WAP profile in order to get Data services running.
Please let me know.
EM
I think you need to get to the Diagnostic Menu
dial ##634# and you may need to hit “call” but on mine you I don't have to the menu comes up.
The option for MMS will allow you to input your settings.
I think you dont need any APN for GPRS. You can simply leave everything blank and it should automatically connect once you set Data Connection to ON.
Tata Docomo has good coverage. BSNL has the best coverage in India with 3G connectivity across India. If you want 3G connectivity across India you should go with BSNL they are the best
