I did that but it will not work?

are you using any additional application for toolbar ?
and in setting on the Regional settings did you choose the "h:mm:ss tt" ?

I've had the same problem with my Qtek 9100 (WM 5) since I got it but I just figured it out. In the Time tab under Regional Settings select "h:mm:ss tt" under Time Style. I had to scroll to see it which threw me because I don't remember having to scroll in my 2003 devices. If the letters are capital "H:mm:ss tt" it is the 24 hour clock which was default on my Qtek.

Day of the week in Today screen?

Any app that can show the day of the week in the Today screen? Day and date would be just about enough for me.
Calender + might be a good app for you. It shows you several days and it's free. http://www.freewareppc.com/clock/calendar.shtml
Personal I use pocket informant v5.61 with the links on my todayscreen linking to that program. If you are used to it you can't live without it !!
Regards,
R,
I use Pocket Informant too, but I haven't found any way to display this information. I don't want a whole calendar, just the day and date on the Today screen.
If you select to display 'Date' in the settings \ today \ items, wouldn't that be OK?
That doesn't display the day, only the date. I'd like both.
On my XDA II, Date shows both date and day. Make sure your regional settings are set to show both; settings / system / regional settings; look at the bottom appearance sample for Long date; you can edit this setting on the date tab. Mine is set for dddd, MMMM dd, yyyy.
-e
That was the solution I wanted, but unfortunately I can't edit the setting. Any register buff that can point me in the right direction?

As I understand U want the day notification under today screen date...if is it so...here U have the registry changes to do:
1) Go to the HKLM\nls\Overrides key.
2) Add a String value called "SLDte" if it does not already exist.
3) Set the value to a valid date format (ie for "Tuesday 8 February 2005" use "dddd d MMMM yyyy")
4) Soft reset.
Hope it helps

Primoz - You da god! Exactly what I wanted. Somehow, the Swedish translators has fucxed this up somewhere.. Checked my iPAQ and it had the same flaw.
One strange thing is if you change your regional settings, for an exemple, to English (United States) which has a long date like "dddd, dd MMMM, yyyy". Then switch back to Swedish and you will see that the long date looks like this "fredag, 25, februari, 2005". But when one presses ok this disappears...
Just discovered that if you change it to English (United States) and then make a soft reset. After that the phone has reset you change it back to Swedish and then you have a swedish long date like "dddd, dd MMMM, yyyy" in the today view
I don't know how long this will last, but there seems to be some kind of solution to this problem anyway.
This also works with calendar +
Thanks Primoz
I also dicoverd you can add your own text like " 'Today 'dddd d MMMM yyyy " and you will have " Today friday 25 Febrary 2005 ".

Can change the clock from 24hr to 12hr

I've had a problem almost since I bought my K-Jam where I can't change the clock from 24hr to 12hr...17:04 to 7:04pm. After the ROM upgrade, it went back to 12hr mode....I was happy. Now, for some reason, it's back to 24hr mode...no matter what changes I make within Regional Settings I can't get it to go back to 12 hour mode.
Any thoughts on this?
Tom
Often overlooked in the regional settings\time change h:mm:ss to h:mm:ss:tt (scroll up) that should do it.
If not u have a bug

I had the same problem...the critical point there is SCROLL UP...the dropdown (at least for me showed 2 items) and I didn't realize that I could SCROLL UP to see the non 24 hour settings.
I am having the same problem, but I knew about the regional settings and tried to change it several times, nothing works. It's stuck on 24 hour time.

use this reg tweak

Code:
HKLM\nls\overrides\STFmt = "hh:mm t" (REG_SZ string, no quotes)
Please note that the single 't' only shows P or A in the Taskbar and the Clock/other applications. If you use 'tt' it will show as 'PM' and 'AM' in the Clock/other applications, but it doesn't display at all in the Taskbar.
I prefer h:mm t or h:mm tt so you get no 0 before time
or you can try h:mm tM if you want aM displayed in the task bar and don't mind big m - my own tweak
this may do it
You guys are the best!!!!!!
I scrolled up and found what I was looking for. I'm all good now.
I didn't know that I could actually scroll. I used the lower case settings and I'm back to normal.
Thanks again!!!!
Tom
Yay, that was bugging the hell out of me as well.

Strange glitch with the new imate 2.17 rom

I installed the imate rom 2.17 on my Tmobile MDA (USA) and I get this very strange glitch, initially the clock is set on the 24 hour setting instead of using AM/PM so I go into settings and change the regional setting to US english the defualt is united kingdom english, and when I click ok this resolves the problem, temporarily. until I soft reset the phone. Then the 24 hour clock is put back for good. after I soft reset the phone no matter which regional setting I use there is no more am/pm, there 24 hour clock is there to stay my only option is to hard reset the phone, and start all over, but I reach the same point because whenever I soft reset I am back where i started,
PLEASE PLEASE help me, I do not have the brain power to read the 24 hour clock how should I know what 17:30 means, its 5:30 pm for god sake
When you go into Regional Settings have you actually gone to the "Time" tab?
There you can set it. The ones that start with hh: are the 12 hour clock. The ones that start with HH are the 24 hour clock. Doesn't matter. When you click on one it shows you an example of what the time will look like.
Hope this helps

Yeah once I have reset the device when I go to the time top only two options are available HH:MM:SS and H:MM:SS the times with for the 12 hour clock arent even an option, its strange because I still have an option to set the am and pm
have you tried setting the STFmt value in the registry?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\overrides\STFmt
chage the H or HH to h or hh

Yeah it is and it still showing it in 24hr mode...
You have to scroll up to find the tt at the end.
start - setting - system - regional settings - time - time style - hh:mm:ss: tt

Yes.
If you are asking how to change it, then the answer is: Start -> Settings -> System -> Regional Settings -> Time
Thank you very mutch
I've been trying to do this - I somehow managed it with my Diamond, but no luck with the HD yet - I'm trying to go the other way, from 24hr TO am/pm - but if UK English regional settings are selected, 24hr appears to be the only default option and there's no visibly simple way to switch it (unf... not that I've found at any rate)
Same problem
I want to switch to 24 hour clock. When I change it in the regional settings it does nothing for the touch flo 3d clock....
It should, are you using the stock ROM? Change it so you get a 24 hour clock in the title bar then soft reset and see if TouchFlo catches up.
in regional settings, goto tab: time,
time shoud be: HH:MM:ss
I'm sorry
I'm sorry,
What I meant to say, was that it changes to the 24 hour format but i thought 'HH' meant to have the leading zero for 00:00 - 09:00, instead i get 0:00 - 9:00.
Not a big deal...

In fact, the 2 "h" ("hh" or "HH") means to put a leading zero. The capital "H" instead means to use a 24 hour clock, rather than a 12 hour one (which is obtained through "h" or "hh").
So if you want a 2-digit, 24 hour clock, you should use "HH".
I had the same problem and this solved for me. Hope that it helps you too.
Thanks

Anyone has any idea to switch to 12-hour clock with AM/PM for FLIP clock? I manage to do it for small clock (as well as everywhere else) but the flip clock just stays at 24-hour format even after changing Regional settings and NLS registry key.
I remember when I got the HD, the flip clock was in 12-hour format but after installing certain apps it converted to a 24-hour.
