Jabber client - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

one more today...
Any good (any) jabber client? Or gadu-gadu (polish IM network).
I've tried to find something on google- without any joy...
btw. I'm not using MSN.
Cheers!
Chris

would agile messenger meet your needs?

Thanks for your reply!
I'll try this (java) client
For me it looks like this one is for mobile phones like Simens (I had S45, S55, S65) but I was wondering if there is any dedicated PDA version..
Or maybe I've to use one and only "political correct" IM on PDA which is MSN?
Thanks,
Cheers!
Chris

agile messenger is not a java client it's a normal pocketpc application which support yahoo, msn, icq and such

Is Yahoo Messenger available on XDA II?

Caqn you have yahoo messenger on XDA II?
Try VeriChat. It consolidates Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger and ICQ into one neat package.
for XDA II. Verichat is for palm based only

Yahoo! Messenger
Does anybody know why Yahoo messenger dont work with XDA2?
I installed it but I can´t connect with server using GPRS.
I do not think so you will be able to find ANYBODY who got connected via !Yahoo IM on ANY device...
This version was only version and never worked...
Minus to Yahoo for this I cannot understand why !Yahoo still didn't release normal version for PPC
I read it would be necessary to config a proxy server for Yahoo works, don't you? :?:
tried - nothing worked...

MSN Messanger

Hi
can anybody help me in this matter I have a MDA Pro from T Mobile its the same as the Xda Exec but they is no MSN Messanger on the device can someone advice me where I could get a copy from.
Ciao
Gigino
get a agile messenger. its free and supports msn, yahoo, aim etc. its the best!
gigno, i had the same problem with Vodafone on the v1640. I managed to get them to pay the £10.99 for the download from microsoft by telling them that their competitors (o2 and orange) were including MSN messenger, and that i could have gotten the device from them.
What i would sugest is call T Mobile, and try to get them to credit you the £10.99.
Also, your device is a Universal, not a magician

Free? I don't think so:
"Agile Messenger costs €2.99 per month charged by premium SMS.
You may also purchase Agile Messenger from 2checkout for €19.95 one time." is stated at their download page.
This one is really free:

Read the page again, this time thoroughly. If you have troubles finding the word "free", try to search in the page (Ctrl-F)
The "basic" version is free, the have an enterprise version which has to be licensed.

Yes it is absolutely free when your handheld is connected to internet via bluettoth or wireless. You are only charged €2.99 per month when you connect to internet using your simcard.
here it is

"You may use the car free as long as you put no petrol in it"
Why should I connect to other wireless or bluetooth devices, when I have GPRS in my Magician? To make my life complicated?
This is a major drawback compared to the MSN Messenger and IMOV Messenger.
well i think it depends on how you use it. when im downstairs, i cant bring my pc with me so i connect my magician to be able to know who of my friends are online. when im in bed,my pc is next door so i also use my magician to chat with friends. agile messenger works great for me.. it might not for others.
its everyone's own choice
messenger
messenger is installed at my magican but it won't connect neither by gprs or bluetooth... keep saying my password or username are wrong... and it isn't i can surf over the internet and it did work ever...
what is wrong about my settings? i also have installed bluesolei to connect with my pc by PAN (it changes a lot in internet)
also agile messenger doesn't work

Does the XDA Exec have a SIP stack

Hello
I was wondering if the XDA Exec has a Session Initiation Protocol stack, and if msn mesenger uses the SIP stack?
no, but its doesn't need one. just run a SIP program. There are industrial clients like Persona OnePhone or paid clients like SJphone.
MSN messenger doesn't use SIP.
anyway skype is better ;->
thansk for the reply
i did not quite understand, to run a SIP program one needs to have a SIP stack, correct?
what does MSN messeneger use?

This one works also over GPRS connection. I remember faintly, that Agile free version works only over WLAN.
no agile works over GPRS too!
Then they must have changed their policy:
