Universal circuit board pics needed!

Hi everybody!
I have found a good picture in the wiki section, but the photo has been shot from the wrong side.
I am searching for a picture of the side where the usb plug is soldered on, does anybody know where to find? I have searched the web but have not been successful yet...
Thanks for any help,
Alex

is this work for you?
Thank you for the fast help, this picture is exactly what i was looking for!

@Asukal:
Many many thanks for the work you did! Yes this picture is better, i did not know that you made them by yourself right know. But could you please do one more little favour to me? Would you mind taking a picture of the area around the USB Plug (the whole upper right quarter of the PCB, second picture)? I got my hands on a faulty universal. Someone tried to resolder a loose USB port and did more damage to the device as it had before! Actually some parts are missing around the USB port on my device...
Is the device you took the pictures from damaged?
@findus:
Ouuu!
A service manual?! Thank you for this useful information, never got one for newer HTC devices!
hi! here they are!

replacing the screen on a HTC 8125 wizard??

Ok, my LCD cracked. I have purchased another one, but I am wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of nightmare I am going to be in for in doing the replacement. (I have a lot of experience in repairing small electrical devices, music equipment, etc... so this isnt my first foray into this type of repair) but I have been looking over this phone, and it doesnt look like its going to be easy by any means, to get the the screen assembly. in fact, it almost looks like I am going to have to go at it through the Back of the phone (pain in the a$$). Any helpfull hints, or tips would be greatly appreciated. I have a couple days to wait, while I wait for my T6 torque driver to come in from order, so I am fishing for tips in the meantime. Thanks in advance!!
Somebody posted a link to a service manual pdf awhile back. I downloaded it then, and I just tried to attach it to this post, but it wouldn't let me. It said upload failed. But if you search around here and at howardforums.com, you'll probably find the original. It detailed the complete disassembly and reassembly of a wizard (actually an HTC Prodigy, but very similar to the Wizard).
You can find the manual at http://www.box.net/public/4enzlr1l8c
excellent, Thanks very much for the manual link, Thats going to come in VERY handy. Thanks again.

You can buy the LCD here:
http://www.pdasmart.com/products/XDH-WZLCDpdaphonehtcmini.htm
Or if (Like me), your touchscreen is broken you can order from Hong Kong:

Does anyone know how to replace the touchscreen once the LCD is out of the phone????

I hope this info isnt too late, but I just bought a replacement LCD with the touch screen overlay for my gen 2 cingular 8125 for $65 shipped and insured. I got it off ebay. And that was a buy it now price. Here is a link to there ebay store... http://stores.ebay.com/e2shopstore. And here is an email address I got from him... [email protected]. The replacement LCD with the touch screen overlay for a gen 1 cingular 8125 was $95 shipped and insured.
damn lcd screen.......
anyone know offhand how to tell if your 8125 is gen 1 or 2 without disassembling the damn thing first?
One thing the manual doesn't tell you...
The volume slider tab might be vulnerable to less-than-careful extrication of the board. It's a pretty flimsy piece of plastic when you put pressure on it in a way it wasn't intended....
The other thing I found out is that a wedge shaped plastic tool for the case is a must. I bought one, and I am so, so glad I did. Otherwise you may break the tabs that hold your face plates on, or at least scratch 'em up pretty badly. A cuticle tool (for fingernails) might work pretty well if you don't want to spring (more), as long as the plastic isn't harder than the plastic of the face plates.
Volume slider broken
Blast! Some small metal thing pinged out when I was putting my Wizard back together again, and now my volume slider is flapping about loosely.
The manual has absolutely no detail about how this tiny piece of metal fits back in. Looks like there is a tiny switch with a miniscule vertical slot inside the wizard around that area.
I swear I posted this last night but is not appearing so here goes again:
Has anyone replaced the touchscreen only? Is it hard to separate from the LCD? My MDA had a dead center and I'd like to fix it while spending as little as possible, but if its going to be a problem I'll get the full LCD.
Ok does this version of english bother anyone else?
OEM Cingular 8125 PDA Touch Screen, it does not includes the main LCD. Please according the parts which showing in the item pictures.About my this item,it is just a touch screen, not the full LCD. It is glassy cover on the color LCD. It's for the one whose Dopod 818 i-Mate Jam touch screen was broken, or out of order, we can provide this replacement...So the buyer need not buy a full expensive replacement LCD,just for the touch screen problem...
Last time I bought something on ebay from a guy that talked like this I got a fake h700 that hat the bluetooth range of 2 ft, couldn't even wear my phone on my belt
anyone have the service manual for the cingular 8125? that htc wizard looks different than mine, mine is round? thanks

Towards the beginning of this thread, there is a post with the link to a PDF. I checked it out, and it's for the prodigy but it looks almost exactly like my 8125 wizard.
almost... should taking it apart be the same? I don't want to ruin something, I would prefer to have the manual for my phone exactly.. thanks
Prodigy not exactly same as 8125
Took a good look at the pdf manual for the Prodigy...it's not close enough to the 8125 for me to feel comfortable disassembling the 8125.
I need to replace the clear screen only...got the tools (incl. plastic wedge), but will have to find an 8125 manual first.
The manual is pretty much right on except in one area. For the Wiza200 (t-mobile MDA), the backing is taken off from the back/side areas. For the Wiza100 (Cingular 8125), you need to take it off near the border of the keyboard. I posted some pictures a few months back in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=266382
I'm not sure how difficult it is to seperate the LCD and digitizer as I replaced the whole thing. And, as stated before, the volume slider is pretty fragile. It can break if its not seated in the actual button.
have you seen any exact manual, instruction, guide how to do that or just pics?
Thanks,
Tom
My lcd cracked a couple days ago...for no reason...i don't remember dropping it or anything....just have a long crack across the screen.
Now, the left half is black while the right half is barely visible. Paperweight....
Anyone in the NYC can fix this ?
I'll be working on my next week so i'll let you know.
Peace,
Tom

New HTC HD2 Awesome... But...

I have just bought and HD2 off of ebay last week and the phone has been great aside from one major issue. The upper right hand part of the screen seems to have black light issues (where the time is on windows mobile ).. Anyone seen this in there hd2? Should I call htc and try to get the phone replaced or??? The issue only seems to be really noticable on black screens like when a game is loading. Please see these pictures.. Sorry i took them with another phone so they are not the greatest. Thanks for any help.
Sry mate, can`t see nothing in them pics
Yeah, difficult to make out, but if I can see what I think I can see when I shrink the images down, it does look pretty bad.
I suppose it's your call, if it all works okay, but I'd send that back for repair straight away.
It looks as if the LCD hasn't been seated properly during manufacture. I'd suggest asking for a warranty replacement from your supplier.
Maybe you should contact the ebay seller.

Button Labels Coming Off

The buttons on my HD2 seem to be losing their labels. I don't know what's happening exactly, but that's how it appears.
Has anyone else seen this?
Not heard of this before.. Mine seam fine, Had my phone over 3 months now. Could you post a screen shot? How long have you had your phone for?
I've had my HD2 for about 3 months. I'll see if I can get a picture. The keys are quite small and my attempts so far aren't convincing.
Same here. My phone is 4 months old and the labels from the buttons has started to wear off... I know this is inevitable, but my old nokia was 1 year old when this started to happen.
can we have photos of this?

I think someone made a thread about this very problem 3-4mos ago along with some pictures. He later just scraped off all the labels from the keys and they look pretty sweet.

Thanks for the link to the other post. I don't know how I missed it. The problem there is the same as mine.
I'm going to post in the other thread from now on.

I did this yesterday and was worried that the symbols underneath might get damaged - no problem at all, I scratched the coating off with my nail and they look better than before

I changed my cover from black to white, heres some info.

Hello im quite new to this site, and have been looking around for the root to come. but in the mean time i have ordered a new cover and it came today. i have now disassembly'ed my phone and changed the cover, this turned up to be a little difficult. 8 scrues at start and then its just clicking off with some gentle force the rest of the way.
but then i bumped into a little problem.
The touch module itself is actually glued to the front cover and is very difficult to take of.
I did manage to get it of, by using a hairdryer and blowing hot air into the frontcover with the glass touch module. by varming it up the glue got soft and i used a hobby knife to like cut under the glass where the glue is.
u have to be very VERY carefull coz i manage to get a little crack in the glass, coz i didnt heat it enough, i would recommend being 2 person for this, 1 to hold and cut the screen off and 1 to heat the glass at same time. i did it one person and got a little crack innit.
but got it off and mountet it into my new white cover, but the screen still being the black color around, wich actually looks really sleek so its not entirely white in front.
I was really scared that i might had broken the Touch module coz of blowing such heat onto it. and was nervous when turning my phone back up. but it seems that it works perfectly wich was a relief :'D
but i just wanted to post this to people if they were interrested and maybe have thought about changeing cover them selfs..
i my self am not used to disassembly phones this was a first and i think i did pretty good aside from a little crack in the screen glass. ^^
just be carefull and gentle and you can suceed without a screen crack like me its not a big one just a little one u barely notice but still
thanks for reading this and sorry for my english i have pictures that is in the link below just copy and paste in adress

which one do you feel is better white or black???
Hi ****nap,
thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Do you allow me to add your pictures to first post in my "Upskirts" & "Disassembly" Thread?
(You find a post in my Signature from where you can jump into)
I'd be happy if you read my guide and add some suggestions.
still dont really know if its original, havent seen the original white and dont know how the original feels. dont think the service center will do it for you, but you check into it. yea the front still has the black part, it was not intentional, but thats how it came out coz of the touch module being black. if u want complete white u will have to buy a touch module that is already white. and it aint cheap
