SMT 5600 low volume - HTC Typhoon

Is there a particular version that fixes the low volume on the phone and speakerphone? The volume is fine on the Windows Media Player. My phone has WM 2003 Second Edition Ver. 4.21.1088 (Build 15045.2.6.0) Radio Ver. A.12.02, ROM Update versions:
Operator: 2.0.42.10
Manufacturer: 2.5.42.40
Microsoft: 4.21.15045.0
Language: 2.5.42.40
File System: 4.21.15045.0
Phone volume is very low and speakerphone volume is barely what would pass for a phone.
Thanks.

I know I am not the only one that has this problem yet I can not find it addressed by anyone. Is it because no one know how to fix this or something else?

XDA II Mini speaker volume is too low

I just bought it in HK and quite happy, except the fact that the speaker (front) is very weak and i cant hear my friends (wife) during a call.
My ROM version is 1.03.00 WWE, Radio version 1.01.00
I heard there is a patch for this problem (that also takes care of a camera problem) . is it true ? where can i download this patch ?
Thanks in advance
hi you may want to check if you have adjusted the earpiece volume. when talking on the phone slide up the volume button and see if there is any improvement. to check for rom updates and patches. goto the O2 website.
It looks like you are using the original ROM that came on the I-Mate Jam. The new radio version is 1.05 and is much louder then the original radio.
Thanks.
Can you recommend where it is safe to download ROM ver 1.05 ?
radio 1.10 is more better because gprs problem is fixed.
what gprs problem? My gprs works fine?
Any way to make the speaker louder?
Yes, sell it and get a mobile phone. LOL.

How to test the center phone speaker?

Hi,
My Wizard works fine except for one problem: when using it as a phone, the little top center speaker doesn't work; I hear nothing.
(no, changing the volume level doesn't help.)
I can now only use it as a phone by either activating the speaker phone function (which lets everone else around me hear what's being said), or use a bluetooth headset.
Both are not really convenient.
Is there any way to test the center speaker without first disassembling the whole thing? activate it with another program besides 'telephone'?
Maybe such a test shows the speaker itself is OK, so no disassembling needed (but what then...).
Any help is welcome.

It has also run the original and updates T-Mobile ROMS with the same problem: no center speaker.

Speaker problem with Imate Jamin (HTC Prophet)

I recently installed (and then uninstalled Resco MediaSuite) on my Imate Jamin. Now, earphone has static. I've figured out that actually the microphone is comes on when I answer a call. The microphone is picking up a bunch of the surrounding environment noise. That's interfering with the sound of voice calls coming through my earphone. Imagine something like blowing into a microphone.
I figured this out because if I put the phone on mute while I'm on a voice call, I can hear the call fine (as I could before I installed the Resco MediaSuite).
Can anyone help me figure out this one? I figure it's some sort of registry setting that got messed up.
Here's my config:
IPL 1.00
SPL 2.G3.4 PDA
ROM Version: 2.20.7.9 PV WWE
ROM Date: 7/06/08
Radio Version: 1_02.20.21
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.9
ExtROM version: PDAVIET
WM 6.1/CE OS 5.2.19214 (Build 19214.1.0.4 PNT)

I think your best bet is a hard reset...
That worked! Thanks.
Thank you for your help. That worked, although it required some configuration. I'm certainly not complaining though!

Glad it worked for you.
Hard resets seem to solve a lot of problems

Audio Connection Problem with HTC P3600

If somebody can help me analyze the problem I have with my HTC P3600, It would be very helpfull.
Since 1 week I can not get the audio out from the phone internal speaker (ear speaker).
When I connect a simple USB Headset it is working OK (I get the audio), when I switch to the loud speaker it works OK. But as soon as I come back to normal mode (ear speaker) It does not work any more.
I reloaded Radio ROM and FAMAN ROM Version 4.2 but no change.
Any other suggestion ?
Thanks
Additional information
BY the way this is my current Software version:
OS ROM: FAMAN 4.04 FR
RADIO ROM: 1.50.08.11

I have the same problem. My Htc p3600 works correctly in alimentation way but in normal way no audio (ear and tone) is present. is it possible that a old battery can be the problem?
Resolved with new battery and WM6.1 Elegance edition

Bluetooth volume too low and not getting updates.

Hi,
I bought an Omnia 7 off ebay which is apparently a T-Mobile uk one (it has T-mob battery cover).
It was already running Mango 7.5 when I got it and I'm so far happy with it but I've had to ditch my Nokia BH-207 headset as you just couldnt hear anything through it as it was so quiet.
I've paired the phone to my TomTom Go540 Live and its a little better but its still really quiet. I've read the threads on boosting the sound levels but cant find anything on boosting just the Bluetooth and dont want to change all the system sound levels.
Also I've not managed to get any updates through Zune and wondered if the updates people are mentioning (tethering update) would fix my bluetooth volume problems.
My phone is running:
os 7.10.77020.68
firmware 2424.10.12.3
hardware 3.15.0.4
radio swr 2424.11.2.2
radio hwr 0.0.0.800
bootloader 4.12.0.9
It also has no T-Mobile uk branding when you turn it on.
Thanks in advance for any help.
