htc - 9500 networking - Networking

Hi
I leave in israel, i have htc-9500 (wallaby) and i installed the unlock
software from this site.
In Israel, we have 2 main companies that use GSM network
the first is "CELLCOM" and the other is "ORANGE".
when i put SIM CARD of Orange, everything was ok !
when i put SIM CARD of Cellcom, the mobile can not find the network.
both companies use GSM network with 900/1800 band.
What is the problem ?
Why is it work with one company and did not work with the other ?
Thank you very much

Well may be its still locked to ORANGE or your other sim is no good.
Hard to tell based on what little info you have given.

i made few phone calls from
the ORANGE sim card...
and with the CELLCOM sim card it did not find the network.
the sim card of cellcom is good it work on nokia 6100
thx

Unlocked XDA with O2 SIM

:?:
I have an unlocked XDA working with an Orange SIM, I have been given an O2 SIM by my company and want to use it with my XDA, but when I put the O2 SIM in my XDA it will not receive any signal. I tried a T-Mobile SIM and this seems to work ok, but the O2 SIM will not connect to the network. Is this to do with the fact that I have unlocked the XDA?
When I unlocked the XDA I ude the XDAunlock utility and do not have a copy of the lock code. Does any body have ant ideas please?
Frootmig...
Are You sure, that the O2 Sim is working? Have you tried it in an other phone?
How old is this SIMcard? I know that there were som eproblems with a view SIMcards.
It's no problem of the unlocking.

Both T-Mobile and Orange in the UK use the 1800 band, the O2 sim uses the 900 band, I would be interested to know if a Vodafone sim will work, can you get hold of one and try it?
My guess is if you have brought the phone 2nd hand it is barred on O2, due to the fact that cross network barring did not start till about the middle of last year if the phone was reported lost/stolen etc etc before then it will still work on the other networks, also make sure you have the setting so it can pick up signal on the 900mhz (O2 Vodafone) or it will never work.
:? Hi, Cruisin thru, lonegunman and lumpistefan
Thanks for your replys, the O2 SIM has been tried in an XDAII and works ok. The phone is not lost or stolen I have bought from the guy with the XDAII and I was with him when he bought the XDA I.
As far as I know the GSM is set to 900/1800 (its a model 10A), does it need to be set to just 900 for it to work with O2?
The SIM card is approx 1 year old and works ok in an XDA II.
Unfortunately I do not know anybody with a Vodaphone SIM.
I will try changing the band to 900 and see if this works, I assume this is done via the bootloader method (holding power button while pressing reset).
Many thanks , any other ideas would be appreciated.
Frootmig.
Have a seach round on here I think you will find that it is a sim card fault and you need a new one.

Uni doesnt recognize Pannon network, even if it is unlocked

Hi folks!
I have bought a Pannon sim card with 3g internet access(Pannon is the 3rd carrier in hungary like vodafone and tmobile). My uni just keep searching for network after i enter the PIN. Its fully unlocked and supercid. Currently using a wm6 rom. The same uni works with the other 2 carriers sim card and the Pannon sim card also works in other mobile phone. I have noticed that in the network wizard there are no Pannon network under hungary panel.(But also no vodafone and uni works with vodafone card).
Is there anything that i can do with this? I am very dissappointed, now i have a 3g acces and cant use even direct push .
I had the same problem with vodafone & wm5. Hard reset solved it.
Try to ask here in hungarian: http://www.pdamania.hu/forum/forum1.php3?topic=12458&y=10&x=0

Unlocked but shows roaming service

my HTC P3600 was purchased in the UK and was locked on the Orange network. I got it unlocked before moving to Canada to study. I purchased a sim card from one of the GSM mobile operators (Fido). But when I insert the sim card into my phone it shows me as roaming and the network also charges me roaming service rates even though I am not in a roaming area.
I upgraded the ROM from WM5 to WM6.1 and still the the problem is not fixed.
I also used the sim and CID unlocker (http://pof.eslack.org/trinity-unlocker/) to "reunlock" it but that also didn't work.
Can anyone help me out here. I love my phone and would like to use it instead of getting another one.
So please whatever suggestions you have would be welcomed.
thanks in advance

Hello
From what I know is, Korea use CDMA signal instead of WCDMA (European 3G signal) there for I'm afraid that you will need to get a phone in korea.
