Using Belkin BT Access Point with XDAII
Juergen,
I have the same problem - a friend has loaned me the Belkin Bluetooth AP and I cannot get my XDAII to connect.
The problem appears to be that the XDAII bluetooth driver does not support the "LAN Access" profile.
There is a thread regarding this problem on the XDA-developers site. Look at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=14747
I think this requires a bit of work to get it going... I haven't got the courage up to do anything major to my XDA yet!
Cheers,
Lee

Have you tried installing pocket bluetooth tools?

@radiocode
Thanks for your hint, but i´m looking for something really working on my XDAII under WM2003. In your mentioned thread is too much hacking for me!
@guest
Can you give me more information?

Bluetooth PAN User Driver

How can I install the bluetooth PAN User driver on my xda II, for those who wonder what is that, this is supposed to be the driver of the bluetooth NIC that should appear when you go to Settings->Connections->Network Cards, but for some reasons i can't find it on the XDA II.
Please Xda-developers if you have more info about this one tell me.
Regards,
I would love this as well as i have a Bluetooth Acess Point but of corse cant connect to it with the XDA2

Networking via bluetooth? possible?

I just noticed my bluetooth adaptor supports some kind of LAN thing.. so it got me wondering..
Would I be able to use the bluetooth connection on my xda2 to share the internet connection without going through activesync?
Would I also be able to access shared folders on the LAN?
ive been wanting to do this as well
its gotta be possible , but i think theres a problem with the bt stack ?
would be nice to sit in my yard and browse the web tho, without forking out twice for internet use
I've got it working through activesync - but activesync has the annoying habit of disconnecting every now and then just for the hell of it.. especially when transferring a lot of data...
Would also be cool to be able to stream movies/music from my network to the pda..
here you are some applicable resources

Can we setup a Bluetooth Internet Access Thread for this?
Yeah - Half of the forum is asking the same question - There's a dozen different approaches everyone's trying - But I'm not having much luck. I can do it all fine on an iPAQ but the iMate / XDA II is being a cow!
That's WITH or WITHOUT the Widcomm stack.
ADMINS! Any chance we can setup a thread for this?
THanks!
Andrew

How to install BluetoothGPS
I have downloaded the BluetoothGPS.zip file - does anyone have any instructions on how to install
Cheers
Matmcken :?:
the zip file contains a cab file that you need to copy over to your XDAII. Once you have done that , double click on it to run it. Simple as that.

T-Mobile MDA Compact Bluetooth and MS ActiveSync 3.8 Problem

Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum and any help will be much appreciated.
I am trying to connect ActiveSync via Bluetooth without any luck. I have
tried just about every option mentioned in the forums with no success. i have tried Toshiba Bluetooth as well as Bluesoleil. I have also tried Pocket
Bluetooth tools mentioned in one of the other Forums.
The most i can get to is to connect my MDA to my Laptop Bluetooth for 1-2 seconds and then it disconnects. Any foolproof method to do this.
Hope someone can help me with this.

Vishal

Internet sharing

Has anyone succeeded in using Internet Sharing over bluetooth with the Trinity? I am trying with a win2000 pc with the Widcomm BT stack and I can't make it work. The manual mentions BT Personal Area Network but the closest thing in the Widcomm stack is called BT Network Access Point.... I am trying to connect the pc and the Trinity that way but no joy so far. If it works for you, can you please post step by step instructions? Thanks.
PS: I don't know what was wrong with the old modem connection like my Qtek S200 had. I could make it work in seconds.

Bluetooth pan network setup help plz

okay so here goes.
i have a S200 (Prophet)
ROM: RUU_Prophet_2151327_22113102_022021_Dopod_PDAMobizEdition_v101
Radio: 1_02.20.21
Protocol: 4.1.13.9
ExtROM: 2.21.13.102
i have been trying to get my Prophet to work with a bluetooth Pan network. The PC is setup to do it but the phone has no support for it or i just cant seem to get it working. can some one plz help to to solve this problem.
Thanks
as far as I know, the prophet does not support the bluetooth pan profile
http://www.clubimate.com/t-DETAILS_JAMIN.aspx
thanks for the info.
so is there no rom for the Prophet that supports the bluetooth pan profile?
or bluetooth driver updates or a another way it can be done it can be done?
i am also having problems using active sync with my bluetooth cant seem to get it right i am still reeding some of the posts here hope fully i can sort this out soon.
It is available in AKU3.2 ROMs and I use it successfully in my car PC.
PDAMobiz_Prophet_WM5AKU3.2_v3231.exe
is this the right one ?
That one and any of the 3.2 ROMs. But note that there are problems with these ROMs including the problem that the phone won't charge over USB (you have to use the main plug-in charger).
Good luck with it.
Tried one and the phone got stuck on the boot Screen just loaded the RUU_Prophet_2090724_20907106_020720_QtekWWE_Ship.exe againe and i will try the other one againe now. Hope i get this sorted out LOL with out making a brick out of my Prophet.
GR8 the update is installed and now lets see what works and what does not work ...

Hi, I checked it again last night. I am using the AKU3.3 now, and this works too. My Bluetooth adaptor is a Belkin USB model and I am using the latest Widcomm 5.xxx.xxx drivers.
I start by using the Internet Sharing program on the Prophet, select Bluetooth PAN, the correct GPRS profile (in my case Orange Internet) and connect. Then I connect the PC using Bluetooth to the Bluetooth LAN on the Prophet.
Hope you can get it to work for you, but it may be also dependent on using a suitable Bluetooth stack in Windows.
The Widcomm drivers don't seem to work with my blue tooth adapter. so i have to use BlueSolei, or the windows drivers. the other thing is i wanted my Prophet to use my home networks internet witch is exactly the opposite of what you did in the above post, what i learned is that your bluetooth drivers must support the hosting side of the connection. The Widcomm drivers do support it but i just cant get them to work with the bluetooth device i have.
it looks like i have to buy a new bluetooth adapter if i want to get it to work....
or see if i can get the Widcomm drivers to work with my adapter.
any other way i can do this ?
Hi. Could someone confirms that Bluesoleil drivers runs ok in S200? Thanks and regards.
