may be a stupid question, but does anyone or has anyone made templates for the XDA II device either the camera part or the caller ID part.
these are great and i have collected a few, but would like to have the PIT Creation utility.
does this utility exsist? has anyone got a link to it?
does anyone have any templates they are willing to share ?
am i the only sad person who thinks these templates are cool and spice up the XDA PICS ???

Ok is it just me, when sending a picture message if i start the MMS software and click to add a picture/video then start the camera from within the MMS program i can only take pictures in portrate not landscape, none of the settings work to change picture orientation
If i take a picture with the camera (in landscape mode) then chooses to send as MMS its works fine
has anyone got the same problem

Me too, but as I never add photos this way, I can't say whether it ever did this with previous versions or not though.
Can you confirm this is a NEW thing, that the previous versions never did?

i try to install it says a file it needs to overwrite is in the rom or in use i have no programs open but still does it what can i do?

Extract the zip with winzip.
Than copy the CAB file onto your device. For example in "my documents" on your phone.
Than go to your phone file explorer and search for the CAB file.
Tap the CAB file and it will install. Reboot phone and you're done
Don't forget to disable the MMS Composer today plugin before you install the file.

hi. will this work on an XDA I running wm2003?
Is there a way of extracting just the green HTC dialer skin from MT_PC_Hermes_Qtek_WWE_060621.CAB?
Because it changes other stuff also like the 3G icon to a U and maybe other stuff which I don't know about.
Any way of extracting just the dialer then?

With a cab manager program you can. Where is this file located? I'll take a look at it and see if I can do that for you.
Where can I find this magic "cab manager" program? I'd like to compare the files from the Cingular and HTC ROMs to see if I can customize the dialer install for myself...

EDIT: Just had a look at the cab file in question using WinCE Cab Manager (Thanks URPREY) and there's tons of files. I have no idea what to do to get it to only install the dialler stuff.

I took a stab at it and made a cab file to install the necessary files. I haven't tested this on my 8525, but I did make a modified grey dialer yesterday that worked fine with a cab install. You can install this and soft reset and you should have the green TyTN dialer...
It works perfectly!
I can confirm it works as it should on my UK T-Mobile MDA Vario II.

Resizing images of icons became headache to me..
Every time when i want to convert it to 96/96 format it saves as another pixel like 80/80 or some kind of ****..
So all chef plz help needed here..
Depends there is a lot of image editors out there...you just got to pick the most suitable one for you...
I use Paint.net. It's free best of all, and it edits almost any image file, including .png's.

Tried it. Made it.
The instructions are in the "Reedme.txt" file (and it's not my typo).
I made it without the sertting of the WAV because I don't want my phone to make so much noise when I boot it.
If you have BsB Tweaks and disabled the windows startup animation then you'd want to enable it back so to get the animation of the "Droid".
