I'm trying to create the similar notification as in Incoming call. It means the notification with highest priority that cannot leave the focus. Does anybody know how to make it ? I searched in include files, but I cannot find any information how to make highest priority notification window. All notifications I have created always lossing the focus.

it's maybe a little off topic but....
i'm using a very cool program called Magicall which basicly filters my incoming call and SMSs ...
this lovely program also gives a great informative notification of the missed call / SMS
which sadly causes a duplicate notification to be created (one by the windows and one by the program)
so ..... i would very much like to disable the windows's notification (it is much less attractive !, Magicall's notification shows you the number/cotact which called you without going into a list !, just by clicking the left soft button)
please help me (if it's even possible)

I think u shld better check notifications setting or else it is a default function for each and every phone to notify u abt ur missed calls.
I posted this in the other sub thread but got no response so I thought I'd try here. I recently installed the palm threaded sms app. I love using this for text msging except for the fact that I get no sound or vibration when I recieve a new txt. I have checked the settings in the sound notifications and everything there has sound applied to it. Any help would be great. I want to continue using this program but won't be able to if I can't tell when I get a sms msg.
you should have a separate entry in the notifications list showing Text Message (Palm) or similar. You need to set this to the sound/vibrate you want. The only problem I've found is that none of the usual profile managers that allow you to switch between quiet/loud/normal/vibrate and such will change this notification as they are all hard-wired for the standard notification name only.
There is one for text msgs but no matter what I put there it doesn't give any kind of notification.
Edit: Found the one you were talking about I guess I just overlooked it testing it out now.
Here's one for the experts,
i have the following problem with my TC: each time i receive a text message, the custom ring tone that i assigned to incoming SMS (of about 30 seconds in length) keeps playing even if i dismiss or read the message (i can even delete it). it seems that there is no way to stop the ring tone from playing besides turning the volume down (or choosing the silent profile) or assigning a shorter ring tone...which, let's face it...these aren't even worthy of the name "work around".
i have studied the forum and the problem is well known. but i didn't find the solution in any thread. if there is someone who can point me to some post that can enlighten me, please do.
I'm waiting for a feedback from one of the smart guys that are using the forum.

I guess there is no one in this forum that can help me. Was i mistaking about the smart guys i mentioned or this problem is just my imagination? You really don't find annoying that you already deleted the received message and the incoming notification plays for another half a minute?

It's normal behaviour.
Notifications were not expected to be 2 minutes long by the WM developers.
The only notification that seems to be interruptible is the alarm one.
indeed it just seems to be the only interruptible notification...the other one is the incoming call notification. really can't understand why this can't be fixed.thanks for replying.

I am looking for a program that will enable me to create a different SMS notification sound depending on who the sender is.
The reason for this is that I have friends who also have TyTNs, but due to the fact that they receive several automated sms notifications from a server monitoring application each day, they almost never read my SMS in time.
So I decided that I want their phones to make a different sound whenever they receive a private SMS. Maybe you can assign some contacts to a group and then specify a SMS notification sound to that group?

I'm looking for the same soft.
I want to know if it is possible to force a ongoing call/dialer app to be on top for the duration of the call. The reason for this is because on my carrier, MTN in South Africa, has a really neat deal. When making calls I get a certain percentage discount from call charges. It depends on how far I'm calling, whether it's to the same network etc. This information is shown as soon as the call connects. I've attached a screenshot of this message.
This message minimises the dialer and goes to homescreen, then when I want to end the call, I have to pull down the notification bar, select the ongoing call entry to get back to the call, then dismiss it. It's really quite annoying, so my question, is there a way to block this little message? An Xposed module maybe..? I don't know much about this kind of hacking but if someone who knows how could help me I'd be very grateful. If you need the phone.apk I'll provide that also.
