4.00.10 T-Mo with their radio stack.
Keep finding it with dots crawling where signal strength should be - reports searching.
Soft-reset, and the signal is great.
Cannot receive calls, or make network connections when it is in this state.
Anybody seeing similar/same behavior ?

AGPS/GPS

hello ...
i am about to buy the 3g touch HTC... right now i have I-PHONE 3G .
well.. iphone gps is only working when at least gsm signal is avilable.
may be this is because it is a AGPS not GPS...
as far as i know AGPS need 2 gsm tower signal + sat to find your location.
or 1 tower+wifi network+sat to get your location..
while the GPS like the old nokia fones. need to get 3 sat to get your position..
at the end.. if u are in the desert where notheing there,,, would 3G touch HTC find your location.??
by the way iphone will not find your location where there is no gsm signal...
please help.

[REQ] Program to change between 3G and GSM

Hello everywhere!
As you can read in the title, I need a program to switch between those two signals.
I´v got an internet flat, but the city i live in doesn´t has enough signal strength for 3G / UMTS, so i changed it back to GSM, with that the signal is much better to have phonecalls. But then i only have GPRS left for internet, so i need a program to change that easily. I once saw a communication manager which had this function, but never found it again. Can anybody help me?
Thx an advance,
Steffen
P.S. Sorry for my english!
you can install the energy3.0 ROM and then its in your comm manager.

Connect to a cellular network GSM/3G with custom parameters

Hi everyone,
My phone HTC HD is using WM6. Generaly a phone can capture the signal of 7 surrounding cells (GSM/3G). Is it possible to connect to a cell's network by giving some parameters (as frequency band, cell ID ...) of the cell ?
Any suggestion about an existed Windows tool/program, a C/C++ code bloc ... will all be great.
Thanks,
capture the signal of 7 surrounding cells
Hi, vietsuper,
I am sorry for offtopic, but how did you manage to capture the signal of 7 surrounding cells on WM6?
I am now making an LBS application and I was only able to read info about one cell tower. A code example will be very appreciated.
Thanks.
