Help adding a single file (INITOBJ.TXT) to an OS ROM image

Forgive my naiveity in this area, (and I'm sure what I'm asking here is obvious to most), but I'm trying to replace the INITOBJ.DAT file in an OS ROM image and need some help.
I'm using: ROM ver 3.20.06 ENG and Bootloader 6.22
I have backed up the OS image using OSImageTool, as ROM.NB1
and edited the INITOBJ.TXT file in readyiness for my new ROM.
1. Can I use MKROM without a bootloader image and get it to create my
new OS ROM image ?
2. Can I use any of the other tools to add the INITOBJ.DAT to my OS ROM
image ?
If so can you show me the steps ?
Thanks

nbh format used in Hermes (TyTN) roms to nk.nbf, possible?

Hello,
The available original shipped ROMs for the HTC Hermes have .nbh files with the RUU, instead of the usual .nbf files found in other HTC rom updates:
By now, there are two shipped ROMs available, containing:
HERMIMG_Dopod_1.23.707.1_SHIP.nbh
hermimg_QtekNOR_1.18.255.3_Ship.nbh
So, it seems that the usual nk.nbf file is no longer used by the Hermes RUU
I cannot extract the various rom components (ExtROM, OS, IPL/SPL, SplashScreen, GSM radio, etc...) out of these files using the usual TyphoonNbfTool, however maimach's prepare_imgfs finds the imgfs and dumps it apparently ok, but it cannot be read using viewimgfs or itsme's rdmsflsh.pl, so I guess the dumped file is invalid.
Anybody knows about this new format?
is it possible to convert it to nk.nbf so we can cook our own roms?
Would it be possible for example to extract the radio rom from Dopod and replace it on QtekNOR rom?

EDIT: I posted the same on TyTN Upgrading forum and there's some more info... ignore this post and continue the thread here:

Qtek S200 2.09 OS .Cab files?

Does any one still have the original OS Ver. 2.09 on there unit? I need copies of the original .cab files.
Unable to downgrade from current Prohet ver.2.20 (Only upgrades performed) per sys error code.
If some one knows how to downgrade please reply or if you have the 2.09 ver. still installed on unit for copies of .cab files.
Is it the EXT_ROM files you are after? In that case I have those backed up on my laptop..

How to get working copies of the following files from a ROM

The following is a list of files that are directories when dumped from the T-Mobile AKU 3.3 WWE ROM for a Wizard (MDA).
DownloadAgent.exe
LSFILTER.dll
LsOmaClient.dll
LsOmaCore.dll
smsTrigger.dll
TimeWizard
I would like to copy these files but since they are in ROM, they cannot be copied. Is there any way to dump these directly so that I can finish off the DRM stuff in WM6 and have a working package?
Very shameless bump.
If you want to copy these from the ROM to PC then use the method described here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Vox_HowToDumpRom
(the files you mentioned were all dumped from my S710)
The operative word being "working". I've followed the instructions and pulled the reconstructed .dll's and .exe's from the directories, but nothing doing.
Do these files need to be signed after they are reconstructed?
Shouldn't need to be .. if you don't resourceedit/hexedit/alter them and thereby destroying the CRC created by the certificate...
Where are you deploying these? Does this device have the certificates installed, if this is not HTC OEM signs or Verisign certificates?

Installing .exe files from a mac

HTC finally came out with a wm6.1 update for the Telus touch phone.
I cant install the .exe file directly from my phone, and I tried to extract the .cab file, but it's just not installing...
I'm not running the new mac, with the intel processor. So I cant run windows on it.
Any other suggestion for me ?
Put it on a flash drive and install it from Kinkos or the library.
Thanks Balana,
Yep I tried to put it on my flash drive, but i get the message that it is an invalid ppc application.
And what is Kinkos ?
The update exe's don't contain a cab file. They contain an .nbh ROM image. If you extract that file from the exe you can flash it directly from your SD card. I'd suggest looking for specifics in the Upgrades/ROM Development forum of your particular device.
Thank's Bedoig.
Tried everything, finally I had to resort to the ultimate sacrifice... working on a PC ! Flashed my device to wm 6.1 Cant be happier, now I have the GPS on my HTC touch.
