Scheduling Flight ON/OFF Modes - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Is it possible to schedule Flight ON/OFF mode set by time? I'd like to turn the PDA off night-time and then having it to turn the telephone mode on at a fixed time in the morning.

How do you turn it off ???

I can't for the life of me work out how to do it, the best I can manage is sending it to sleep, but its still ready to receive calls. I suppose I couls put it in flight mode then put it to sleep, but it would be easier if I could just turn it off by pressing a button without having to pull the battery
Basically you can't switch the PDA side completely off.
You can switch the phone off with Wireless Manager or Use the Flight Mode Link. Thats the same as powering off your Mobile Phone at night etc.

Flight Mode IS the way of turning it off. However you could also use something like Pocket Zen Phone (search xda-dev) which adds 'profiles' to the phone/device - you can then turn the phone on/off (plus plenty of other operations) by just tapping an icon on the screen.

GPS on or off in Airplane Mode?

Hi guys
Is the GPS supposed to be on or off in Airplane mode? Mine seems to be on which seems odd to me. I have an app that just keeps using GPS even though it's closed and the phone is in airplane mode. I need it for work so I can't disable location access to it. Was hoping airplane mode would shut location off but it doesn't...
I'm on 4.5.10

it's the same for me and it makes perfect sense. Airplane mode is meant to disable all communication that might interfere with the plane. GPS, however, is receiving only (and the satellite doesn't care if your device is listening or not), so there is no need to disable it as it cannot interfere with a plane.
If your requirement is to have gps disabled in some places, why don't you disable it? I mean you have to manually go into airplane mode anyway, so why not disable gps manually via quick settings in the notification bar and you're good?

Scheduled auto on off power or airplane mode

Been using chinese phones for a while and have my phone auto off at night and auto on for when i get out of bed so that i am not disturbed by phone calls
Is there an app that would be recommended to either do this for power or airplane mode?

Anyway to add Airplane Mode to 'Rules'?

I'm wondering if there's a hack somewhere to add the Airplane Mode function to available 'Rules' , or if anyone knows about any planned additions?
At the moment, it's limited to:
Turn On Do Not Disturb
Set Phone To Silent
Set Phone To Vibrate
Set Phone To Ring
Adding Airplane Mode would be really helpful.
