Hi to all,
I have an XDA 2s before and installed intellipad or phonepad on it and it works perfectly, but now i want to upgrade to XDA IIi, can i ask if anyone tried to installed and make the intellipad or phonepad software from the Xda mini worked on XDA IIi,i love this software and its the perfect input solution for me.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated. More Power
Last question, can anyone send me i link to where i can see a sample picture taken from the XDA IIi because it has a 1.3 mega pixel camera like the XDA mini but the picture quality is worst like the mini's 1.3 pixel camera. Is is true the XDA IIi has the worst camera ever considering its resolution. Is the upgrade from XDA IIs to XDA IIi worthed or not.Thank you so much.[/b]

Have you tried the transfer data app from the DHD? I heard it could do that.
Or you can use sms backup & restore which have app for both winmo and android.. used it myself migrating from touch pro2..

I tried that but it doesn't not work 100% right.
It can backup and restore all your SMSs, but at least 50% or more of them don't get linked right with the contact that sent the SMS.

Do you know if it wipes all your SMSs that you may already have on the DHD?!?
I was going trying to backup and restore again with this new app but I'm afraid to loose the SMSs that I already have on the DHD...
It will insert the migrated data over your existing data. So you'd have to back that up first and restore that after the migration.

Backup question.

Hey, I would like to know what some good backup options are. The main thing I want is for the backup to have everything, files/data/apps/etc. The reason I'm asking is because I can't find one that looks like it will backup things like downloads/documents.
Thanks,

I use a sync app like syncme to backup everything on to a PC or in my case, a network drive. I set it up to run every few days at night while I sleep. It syncs via WiFi so don't have to do anything.

Nexus 7 complete system backup help

Hey, I'm new to android (own all apple gear, iPhone, iPad, ATV ect.) I just purchased a nexus 7 about a month ago and am pretty comfortable with it now. I rooted and unlocked and am wondering how I make a full system back up. I have been reading web pages and forms for days and found thousands of methods but most require a insane amount of steps and various programs. I'm just wondering if someone can let me know of a app that allows a complete backup (ie. All my apps, games and saves, settings, screen layout) kind of like a iCloud backup.
P.S. I'm aware of titanium backup, from what I'm reading all this app does is back up apps/games and their settings/saves along with everything else out there... I want to save everything ! Including my screen setup, widgets, settings, everything
Thx !

Titanium backup, save your apps with your apps data.

But does titanium back up settings...like home screens set up for example?

Use a custom recovery like twrp or cwm, easiest full backup ever.If you want to be able to update or change rom with same apps and data after install then titanium is a god send.

Of course, titanium backup apps and it's data. Means, all your setting or score (games) will be backed up.

I'm happy with twrp it handles the encryption does everything I need

Text/MMS location

Can someone please tell me where text/mms messages are stored. I have a bunch of pictures that I don't necessarily want to save to my phone but I do want to hang on to temporarily. Being the flash happy fool that I am I would like to transfer those texts and mms to what ever rom I am on for that day. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're such a flash happy fool, you should know by now how to backup and restore your messages. The Web is full of "how to's".

Actually I do know how to back up my text messages but the problem is the mms messages. When I restore the mms it doesn't restore the pictures. But thanks for playing.

Nah no loved one doing a check-up, lol. Does titanium back do mms messages also. I haven't used it since I had my Evo Lte and it would only restore text not mms.

Because the messages are stored deeply in the file system. Don't think that anybody does backup and restore them like this. Yes, titanium does restore sms and mms.
