Device Support - ROM Upgrade for i-mate JAM
This page contains the latest Operating Systems for the i-mate JAM device. Future releases of the software will be posted on this page for i-mate customers, so keep it bookmarked!
We currently have the following ROM images available and may be used to upgrade earlier devices. All languages will soon be available as:
Rom version 1.11.00
Radio version 1.11.00
(New!) ExtROM version 1.11.132 (WWE)
(New!) ExtROM version 1.11.183 (Arabic)
(New!) ExtROM version 1.11.169 (North American 850-only model)
(New!) ExtROM version 1.11.179 (UK)
(New!) ExtROM version 1.11.182 (French)
Fixes:
ROM builds with radio versions 1.05.00 and 1.10.00 all include audio enhancements for voice calls. Radio build 1.11.00 includes improved support for Cell Broadcast and SIM Toolkit applications.
All new builds contain the improved camera driver and fix for "No Bluetooth Hardware" bug. ROM builds 1.11.00 also includes a new MMS client for improved network compatability and an upgrade to the Operating System.
The North American 850 build includes support for more T-Mobile SIM subscriptions. These settings are all available as separate operator CAB settings files for download from this site.

WWE would bacically be customisation for use in US and other english speaking territories etc, however UK basically would have settings and configurations for use with the UK networks.

also this new rom, since the OS and Radio version are 1.11, would i be wrong to assume that they are exactly the same as the QTEK OS and Radio?
If they are then we would only need the ext rom cab files from this iMate 1.11 to upgrade?

I was thinking the same... I updated my i-Mate JAM to the Qtek 1.11 and it has been very stable... However, I would like to get the UK Ext Rom (1.11.179) to give it a whirl...

Well I couldnt wait so I upgraded.. everything in the EXT ROM is the same as the QTEK 1.11 except
1 - the usual KSE FAX v2.09,
2 - Version_WWE_111132.cab
3 - Imatev1.00.1.0.cab
All other MMS, BT Patch, etc.. are exactly the same as the QTEK EXT ROM.
so to summarise, I wouldnt bother upgrading to this ROM if you already have the QTEK 1.11, unless you want the KSE fax or the imate customisation.
The curiousity has just wasted an hour of my work time.. :lol:
now Im back to hexediting the rom for big storage..

Can I use any of those roms, i´m not so good att this and I dont want to kill my s100....

I would like to return to my old Qtek 1.06 ITA rom. I've downloaded nearly all the ITA roms in the Magician directory of the ftp site.
How can I check if a rom it's Qtek or Imate? Or is there just Imate?

Where can QTEK users register to receive information about new rom updates? Is there a place like Club iMATE for Qtek owners?
My Versions are:
ROM 1.1.7.5
Radio 01.01.10
Protocol Version 4.0.13.16
ExtROM version 1.1.7.105
From what I understand there is a new ROM version 1.1.9.3, where can I get it? How do I install it? What are the improvements over the version I have?
Is there a WM5 upadte somewhere?
And by the way, the new Skype works very bad on my machine... maybe my mistake was installing it on the MiniSD? Does it make a difference?

I got the same rom version. I would like know also if there is a qtek club such as imate.

If you want the 1.1.9.3 rom take the Imate rom
the only registration for qtek that I know of is on the dutch site.

Should I install the iMATE ROM? Do you know what are the improovements over the ROM version I have?
This machine is cute, I really like it. But it is full of bugs and VERY slow... :roll:
I tried to instal the Imate Rom from the FTP site and I was able to download it, but when I tried to instal it, I got the "Invalid Vendor ID" message. What am I doing wrong?

Search more and you'll find 02.07.10 which brings stability against PowerOn->RadioReset bug and best EDGE performance so far
is this I-mate rom update, and if so how can i update that on Qtek 9100 cuz i tried and it said its not the rite device, is there something that I m doing wrong thanks
First af all my compliment to all stuff for very good forum, now i have a question this Qtek 1010 have inside 3.17.03 ENG O2-Euro, so i want to change to 3.16.68 Italian becuase 3.17 don't exist in italian but when i try to downgrade show me "The rom is not compatible whit your Pocket Pc here are the difference etc..etc.."
So there is a system for downgrade?

From where so you got this ROM? You require a little tool Adaptrom.exe
If the ROM is of the FTP it should work already....
