Just bought a secondhand XDA and have some problems connecting to the T-Mobile GPRS network here in Holland. Anybody willing to share their (working) settings? I have a GPRS-Active subscription, which is activated. The little G appears in the phone status window.
GPRS Actief € 4,20 per maand + € 2,10 per MB
GPRS Intensief € 12,61 per maand + € 0,84 per MB
Check eerst even bij hun klanten service of het ook echt aktief is op jouw sim
In je settings hoef je bijna niks te doen (PocketPC 2003)
[Start] - [Settings] - [Connections] - [GPRS Authentication] moet staan op: CHAP authentication
[Start] - [Settings] - [Connections] - [Connections] - Manage existing connections:
1 - Create New... geef het een naampje bijvoorbeeld TMOBILE
2 - Select a modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
3 - Access point name:
bij GPRS Actief: internet-act
bij GPRS Intensief: internet-int
4 - User name: Password: Domain: NIKS INVULLEN dus leeg laten
5 - onder [Advanced] - [TCP/IP] kies: Use server-assigned IP address
onder [Advanced] - [Servers] kies: Use server-assigned addresses

De settings die jij hierboven aangeeft, had ik zelf ook al gevonden in een draadje op het forum van http://www.pocketpcclub.nl maar die werken dus voor mij niet. Nu vond ik net via Google de volgende link:

Daarin wordt gesteld dat je als APN moet instellen: "internet", voor alle prijsplannen. Ik ga dit vanavond thuis eens proberen. Bedankt voor je reply in ieder geval!

geen gratis alternatief, of je moet een open relay vinden ofzo
Kijk eens of je provider gee smtp auth ondersteund, leg dit voor aan quicknet, hier in het nederlands blaten op een engels forum heeft niet veel zin
i've got a device that is stuck on the vodafone logo.
tried HR - not helping
tried Rom upgrade to several roms (through bootloader) - the procedure stopts at 2% with the message " Error[294] : invalid vender ID"
what can i do (don't have vodafone service center in Israel, shipping elsewhere not worth it...) ?

it is probably bricked that means you have to Update is to the Original ROM.

En als je NL bent dan ben je genaaid want dan kan je niet aan de originele ROM komen. Dus zou je hem naar HTC moeten sturen en die bieden geen support op Vodafone branded toestellen. En btw vodafoon zelf ook niet. Dus dan ben je genaaid. Einde HTC totdat vodafone WM6 update uitbrengt of de originele wm5 ROM vrij geeft. Best lullig maar leg hem maar in een kast en blijf vodafone bellen.
btw als je het forum eerst had gelezen dan wist je dit voordat hij gebricked werd.

T-mobile MDA vario romupdate failed, divice dead?
Hello all, This is my first experience in the field of palm' s e.d, and are also absolute no comp. wizz, but I will try to explain step by step what my problem is, and how the problem orriginated.(excuse my bad english)
I have taken over a older simlock free t t-mobile MDA vario (1st model, none 2.3 etc.)device, and after I connected the divice with Windows divice center for the first time on my vista laptop (acer aspire 7520) for synchronisation, the WMDC prog gave. the recommendation for installation of the microsoft onenote program on my vario. This i carried out, instalatie succeeded etc.. When I wanted to use my vario the next day, it started up til the white t t-mobile screen, and got stuck there, and its starting up efry 2 the minuts to the same screen (loop). Asked advice on a forum, and got the recommendation for soft reset and later a hard restet. No results, exactly the same. later i got recommendation to do Romupdate in the boat charger mode,

(I'm also new in the field of forums, each tip is welcome) The Above i have carryd out on xp machine with activesync 4.5 with the orginele softwareupdate of the t-mobile website: http://www.t-mobile.nl/persoonlijk/htdo… pdate.aspx these ran to 95 proc. afterwards I got the report: this ndf file can not be used on your pda, please verify ndf file. update demolished (cancelled) what i saw is that activesync did not find the apparatus, and no was connection achieved with activesync. Also that moment no simkaartwas in machine, this is important? Now the apparatus no longer reacts to the onn/off button, and if I lay him to the charger, he jumps right on the three colour screen, with the following text: IPL 1.03 RUU SPL 1.03 If I connect the apparatus to the charger, it jumps on directly, to the the same 3 collor screen. Hardreset have also no result, it jumps right on the same three colour screen. Also the right led (orange) works no longer,(the charger led). (other leds also nothing, of course) O.K.,this is the complete tale. Have I made an expensive brick of my divice, or can i still rescue it? how do i find the richt software update? Warranty is expired, and i also no longer have a t-mobile abbonement so las legal advice can also be applyed.Please simple simple step by step recommendation.

Deze kun je via de T-mobile site downloaden. Deze versie heb ik zelf ook op mijn oude vario en die werkt goed. Je kunt dit als volgt installeren: Probeer je toestel in de bootloader-modus te zetten. Houdt hiervoor de cameratoets vast en druk met de stylus in het resetgaatje. Houdt de cameratoets ingedrukt. Als het goed is zie je nu drie gekleurde balken op je scherm (rood, groen & blauw). Je zit nu in de bootloadermodus. Sluit je toestel via een USB-kabel aan op je PC en start de update op. Waar je wel rekening mee moet houden is het volgende: - gebruik een PC met Windows XP en activesync 4.5. Ook zat er op dat moment geen simkaart in, is dit van belang? Nu doet het toestel niets meer met de aan/uit knop, en als ik hem aan de lader leg, springt hij gelijk op het driekleurenscherm, met de volgende text: IPL 1.03 RUU SPL 1.03 als ik het toestel uit doe terwijl het aan de lader ligt, springt het weer aan op hetzelfde scherm, als ik hem loskoppel van de lader, kan ik hem uitdoen met de aan/uitknop, en springt hij niet meer aan. Hardreset heeft ook geen result. springt gelijk op zelfde driekleurenscherm. Ook brand de rechter led (oranje ) niet meer, aan de lader. (andere leds ook niets, natuurlijk) O.K., heel verhaal. Heb ik een dure baksteen gemaakt, of is er nog redding? hoe kan ik er achter komen wat dan wel de goede software update is? Radioupdate o.i.d nog mogelijk? Graag stap voor stap eenvoudig advies. Maak trouwens geen gebruik meer van T-mobile abbonement, en garantie is volgens mij ook verlopen, misschien is dit van belang voor jullie advies.
Well your device can still be saved, you should try the steps below.
1. Put your device in bootloader (3 colored screen)
2. Connect your device using USB to your pc running WindowsXP and Activesync 4.5
3. Try running the RUU again.
If it fails again:
4. Check if your battery is still living (mine was allmost dead and I could not flash it.
5. Try a tutorial from this forum for SID unlocking your device.

The part I didn't get is the NBF file error.. Perhaps you downloaded the wrong ROM?

Can re-try installing rom but does same.

and try button rom, before you flash any other rom. Maybe your wizard is not unlocked completly, therefore read the post in the link above

Hey Julie, als 'k het dus goed begrijp heb je een 614c gekocht en loopt die gsm vast wanneer je er een SIM kaart insteekt van TMobile maar werkt die wel perfect met een kaart van KPN ?
Het zou kunnen dat je GSM sim locked is, al zou het mij verbazen. Heb je de laatste updates van HP al geïnstalleerd ? Er is nl. een update beschikbaar voor GSMs die vastlopen met bepaalde SIM kaarten.

Kijk wel ff na of je SKU de juist is (FA992AA#ABF, FA992AT#ABF, FA991AA#AB0, and FA991AA#AB5.). Kan je vinden door start menu te openen, naar instellingen te gaan en daar de HP Asset Viewer te openen. Op het 5de tabblad (Systeem) staat er een Product ID, dat zou normaal gezien een van die 4 moeten zijn.
