When I run the Radio Stack Upgrade Utility it fails with an error saying "Flash Failed! Press OK to restart your device"
The machine once reset appears to work ok still.
Is there another way (SD card?) to get this update applied. The Rom Update page suggests you don't do it any other way than using the normal upgrade utility, which suggests another way is possible.

I am trying to upgrade my Radi STack (RSU)
I have an excutable file with the new RSU. When I ran, it takes me through few steps where at the end my XDA is rebooted and I get a button on my screen that says "Start" to start the upgrade process. When I press it, after few seconds I get a get an error message saying "Falsh Failed". When I press Ok (what else?!), The XDA is rebooted again and the process is repeated. If I do a format for the XDA, things go to normal.
DOes any 1 know what is going wrong here and how to fix this?

Which ROM do you have? Which ROM are you trying to install? Etc.
I have 3.18.04 and R3.23.01 for the RSU and bootloader 5.22
I am trying to install the RSU 4.16
Also, when I have tried to install the XDA speciall ROM, it didn't work where after I see the screen "Upgrading" on my screen and the upgrading window on my computer asking me to wait for about 5 minutes, the activsync link is disconnected.
It is not clear to me what is the problem, is it the ROm, the bootloader or what?

4. Download an Upgrade for your device. This depends ont the model you are using. Check the sticker at the back of your device.
* If it is a PW10A-Model download RSU Version 4.16
* If it is a PW10B-Model download RSU Version 6.24.20
5. Extract the downloaded ZIP-File and copy all files to the /Windows directory of your device.
6. Copy the RSUpgrade.exe additional to the /windows/startup directory.
7. Make an soft reset of your device.
8. Maybe the upgrade will stop again at 1%, this may occur when you have an empty battery.
9. Place your device in the cradle. Run Active Sync on your device.
10. The RSU Upgrade will run in the background.
11. Wait for about 10 Minutes. The upgrade should complete in the background....
I do the procedur from point 1 to point 7.
But when i reset the device the radio stack upgrade utility shows up, but not run automaticly so i have to tap the start buton tu start upgrate the radio stack. But in 1% i have the massage "Flash Failed press OK to restart your device" . So what should i do? i try to wait for 10 minuts like it says but no solution still missing the radio stack.
Does my GSM error problem coused by harware failure/error? :?
so any body can help me how to Reflash the RSU?
note: i use PW10A-Model

I got my T-Mobile SDA and ofcourse i would like to upgrade it. I found these instructions : http://user.cityline.ru/~ronswens/Tutorials.htm and have few questions.
1) Is any SD card required for upgrade (how much does it cost on disk space?)
2) At which state should update programs be started? During bootload, "the red-green-blue-bar screen" or when the device boot is complete?
3) My phone tells me this:
Typhoon PV/DVT
IPL 1.00
SPL 1.01.0109
GSM 0.3.18.60
Which step is next on the upgrading process?!
I am so confused about whole thing. SuperCID doesn't work (it throws me error - "RAPI Init failed: Client DLL not found" Though i have run cert.cab on my device). Is there something I need to unlock more? What? How?

1) No.
2) The SPV Service and SPL flasher should be run with the phone connected switched on and connected via Active Sync. The OS is flashed through mtty so for that to work you have to disable USB connections in Active Sync and reboot into the boot loader (red-blue-green screen).
3) Follow these (http://karhoe.byethost33.com/content/view/35/1/) instructions.
As to why SPV Service fails, make sure the phone is application unlocked before you install the certificate and run the Super CID app.

Simple way : take out microSD card and Simcard

1. Have u unlocked your SPL??? try using uspl
2. Remove SIM card and Storage Card
3. When you're booting your phone, go to Bootloader by pressing the "Record key" (left key) and Power key together! Press left ley first and by holding it, press power key!
* Shady's Rom (especially the lite need USPL unlocked by cmon! The link is in Shady's ROM page)

Many thanks. I keep forgetting to remove the SDHC card when I try to update. This thread helped me out again.....

I Flashed my P3600 starting from WM 5 with Trinity_Rom_NiAl_Build_23504.
It worked but not at all (pine nuts) so I decided to upgrade again.
The second one, the upgrade stopped while he was runnung and I did the recovery procedure as suggested by the upgrade.
Now when I connect in bootloader mode to pc USB connection is activated.
But every rom version i try to flash I got the Message Error[270] Update Error
Ur Image file is corrupted.
The bar % run till 1% and the device swich off immediatly.
In >Bootloader<

Trin100
SPL-1.06.0000
Please Help me.

Error may appear due to corrupt image ROM. download the entire RUU and try again.
In General for archive with firmware.
I've already tried with another RUU but it works the same; really it means not to recognize the ROM installed because if I run the utility and click update to read the ROM just installed and the ROM to update, the utility recognizes only the new but not the present ROM.
The first time I ran it, the utility recognized the installed ROM too and it finished well.

Well.
In an active sinc disconnect connection on USB
- Download splxploit_HTC_Trinity
- Unpack and start
- Then stitch...
Should work
