Hi everybody, I have been looking for a way to get an official version of Vanilla Android 13 on my Tab S6 for a long time and wanted to make sure the community finally had access to a fully working and sufficiently detailed guide.
This ROM improves battery life by 200%, it's absolutely insane.
Every source, link or file referenced in this guide is 100% official and safe.
Cheers!
Download Firmware + Extract:
Install SamFirm and download the latest firmware for the Tab S6.
(You will also need to install Visual Studio C++ 8 & 9 for this software to function properly)
SamFirm Tool
Download the latest version of SamFirm Tool, which helps you download the Samsung Stock Firmware (ROM) for free.
samfirmtool.com
Install 7Zip and extract the firmware zip.
Then open the CSC file with 7zip and extract the PIT.
Unlock Bootloader
Enable Developer Options and turn on OEM Unlocking
Disconnect USB/power cables and turn your device OFF
Enter Download Mode and select the option for device unlock mode.
Download TWRP:
Download the official TWRP and vbmeta image
TWRP > https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxytabs6qcomwifi.html
vbmeta > https://dl.twrp.me/gts4lv/vbmeta.tar.html
Download Official AOSP / Android 13 Image:
The official Android 13 (stable) GSI is available on Google's developer page and needs to be extracted via 7zip. (This will also contain a vbmeta.img but disregard it)
(GMS = Gapps | No GMS = Vanilla | FLOSS = Open Source Apps Only)
(Make sure to get a arm64 version)
Generic System Image releases | Platform | Android Developers

If you prefer the consumer grade "prettier" version of AOSP, you can also download one of the arm64 images provided by phhusson on Github, who exclusively uses official sources code, as well.
https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/releases
You can also download one of the official daily builds directly from the ACI Project's master-branch (Android Continuous Integration) which represents the literal bleeding edge of AOSP straight from Android : https://ci.android.com/builds/branches/aosp-master/grid?
Flashing Firmware with Odin
Download Odin Flash Tool from a safe source.
Odin - Download
Odin: Samsung-Geräte rooten und flashen - Kostenloser Download für ✓ Windows
www.netzwelt.de
Put the Tab S6 in Download Mode, while simultaneously connecting the USB cable. (The tablet needs to be off)
Open Odin and add the Firmware Files to the appropriate slots
BL > BL , AP > AP, CSC > CSC
Then click on PIT and add the previously extracted PIT file
Lastly click options and select Nand Erase, Re-Partition, while unselecting Auto Reboot
Flashing TWRP & vbmeta with Odin
After successfully flashing hard reset the device but be ready to immediately press the required button combination for your device to re-enter Download Mode.
(USB Cable needs to be connected at all times)
(If you missed your chance, hard reset and try again)
Once back in Download Mode click Reset in Odin
Deselect Auto Reboot in the Options again
Then add the TWRP image in AP and vbmeta.tar in the CP slot.
Wiping Cache & Partitions
After flashing press your device's button combination to enter the recovery the entire time until you see TWRP.
Once inside TWRP wipe Dalvik Cache and Cache in the Advanced Wipe menu. Subsequently re-enter the wipe menu, select Format Data and type yes.
After this (USB cable still connected) make sure the Internal Storage is mounted and transfer the system.img (extracted from the AOSP GSI zip) to the tablet
Finishing Up
In TWRP click Install, select the system.img and choose system image.
Flash it, Reboot to System and your DONE!

That may be due to apps in sdcard (.android_secure), so if it deletes you can get those back after restoring.

[GUIDE] Android 9 Pie AOSP phh-treble ROM

The purpose of this thread is to describe treble ROM installation process for Mi Max 3 with specific detail for AOSP phh-treble, for a user to be able to get all required instructions in one place.
What does not work (everything else is supposed to be working):
VoLTE (did not have a chance to verify, reported for other GSI ROMs)
Stock camera does not auto-rotate photos (use third party camera)
Equalizer (MusicFX)
Disclaimer: Everything you do is your own risk. GSI is ARB-agnostic, since it does not contain firmware.
Prerequisites:
Bootloader unlocked
Data backed up (factory reset is required in the process). NB: if you had screen locked while backing up with recovery, this guide to reset the lock may be helpful some day in the future
TWRP 3.2.3 (other recoveries may work as well) installed
Xiaomi.eu Android Pie ROM installed
Note:Xiaomi.eu with Android Pie is required.
Skills required:
TWRP - flash zip files
Archive tool (like ZArchiver, to unpack XZ system image)
Steps:
Choose and download the "arm64-aonly" system image - with or without root and gapps. I used system-arm64-aonly-vanilla-nosu.img.xz from phh-treble releases page
Decompress system image using archiver tool, we need .img to flash
Download opengapps x64 nano or pico for Android Pie (this step is for vanilla system)
Download phh-treble-pie-fixes-minimal.zip for Bluetooth, camera2 and vendor fingerprint (the file is attached to FP)
Make sure your data is backed up
Make sure Xiaomi.eu ROM is already installed, or reinstall using respective instructions
Reboot to recovery
Install - select image type - select phh-treble .img file - select system partition - install
Install - select zip type - select opengapps archive - install (for vanilla image, this is not needed for image with pre-baked gapps)
Install - (make sure /vendor is mounted) select zip type - select phh-treble-pie-fixes-minimal.zip from this post below (to fix brightness, camera2 api and bluetooth)
Factory reset, note: google setup needs gapps-su build or you can dirty flash (restore /data from backup)
Reboot system, fingers crossed for several minutes. If the system does not boot for 2 minutes, you probably did not perform some step correctly
bonus material: one can re-arrange soft buttons following instructions from this post https://www.xda-developers.com/how-...icons-or-re-arrange-the-buttons-without-root/
bonus material: one can adjust auto brightness by issuing "settings put system screen_auto_brightness_adj 0.4" via ADB shell, where 0.4 is any value between -1 and 1
Note: to completely unroot, execute /system/bin/phh-securize.sh via adb root shell
Thank you!
So if I have Xiaomi.eu stable and go back to beta 8.10.25 (with ARB activated) I will be able to install this AOSP ROM ?
Before MI MAX 3 I got a OP3 so ARB is my nightmare.
I am dreaming of AOSP ROM installed. Is much better than that MIUI.

Yes, you can. Treble roms can be installed on ARB and NON-ARB roms.

Tried both phh-treble 8.1 and 9.0. GSI roms can be flashed one over another (factory reset may still be required for downgrade 9->8.1)

Hi @galev_90, it's stable with known issues - bluetooth and brightness need a fix described in the first post. MTP (usb file transfer) does not work (the patch may exist, did not try any), volte - probably does not work.
To get more specific instructions, one needs to explain what is not clear from what is already described. It may be helpful to read phh-treble thread by phhusson as well.

It is not in this forum.Maybe link will be problem..
Instruction updated for latest Xiaomiu.eu baseline. MTP is fixed in 8.11.29 vendor.
Patch prepared for direct flashing via TWRP.
What does the patch do?
Edit: nevermind - found it in the OP: phh-treble-pie-fixes.zip - fixes auto brightness and bluetooth

GSI PINE OS
GSI PINE OS - System based on arm64 binder 32 A/B by phhusson . System in my edition have deleted trashes added optimizations and tweaks dedicated for PINE device (Redmi 7A) . System can to be used on other devices supported project treble , but with little other performance than ,,stock,, GSI image . System have updates by me and updated kernel to possible last edition and performance with battery live . Installation have few steps , more easy for user because user have ready files for install by TWRP .
Installation:
1.Download ADB and Fastboot (link in google)
2.Download software v10.2.5.0 - Global is better and flash (if you don't flash audio and other to be don't working !!)
3.Download from this thread or link patched vendor , boot and vbmeta and flash via fastboot
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
4.You have possibly installed TWRP if not , find thread and install twrp
5.Enter to TWRP and install / restore correct image system - Earlier make copy of system and boot !!
Restore image by TWRP:
Sample path is:
Device name / memory type / TWRP / BACKUPS / digital digit of your device / name of backup
In last folder you have files of your backup.
But you interest folder with digit - in this folder you have your backup - You must create second folder with any name in digit folder - don't delete folder with you backup - After make empty folder in ,,digit,, folder enter to this empty folder and to this folder unpack files from archive .
Enter to TWRP and restore my files , after restore you can install magisk zip and get root . Half my kernels don't have default root by magisk .
Important info:
This image for recovery have ready system and partitions. You must install earlier 10.2.5.0 software for correct working. Image have partitions boot(patched, faster, stable, new kernel for GSI,magisk added),dtbo, modem, recovery (unlocked and updated for treble),system(ARM 32-bit with 64-bit binder, AB - disabled animation on boot !!),vbmeta(unlocked),vendor(unlocked).
Wipe Dalvik / ART cache, System, Data, Cache. Format Data > Yes - for correct working . Restore first recovery , turn off the phone and restore all other files . If you don't have problem's with modem DON'T restore modem partition . Modem partition is added if you kill modem and brick him and lost imei total for restore and repair phone . If you restore modem partition on ,,health,, device you brick permanent modem .
This package is only for Redmi 7A Pine , but system can work on other devices .

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
Downloads :
SourceForge folder (includes rom, dtbo image, LineageOS recovery image)
Installation :
You MUST have unlocked botloader and android 10 firmware on your phone
1) Flash LineageOS recovery via fastboot
fastboot flash boot <name of the file>
2) Reboot to recovery
3) Perform factory reset
4) Navigate Apply update -> apply from ADB
5) Sideload rom .zip
adb sideload <rom zip name>
6) Reboot recovery (Advanced -> Reboot to recovery)
7) Now you can sideload gapps or magisk if you need them (recovery might give you a warning about flashing unsigned files, just click second option and installation process will continue)
adb sideload <zip name>
8) "Reboot system now"
9) If you have broken wifi/bt flash dtbo image via fastboot linked at this page
fastboot flash dtbo <name of img>

Tnx for sharing your personal rom to community
I did the exactly same way described on the main thread to flash the rom on my phone but for some reason I get boot looped every-time, I flashed the recovery, rom, open-gapps and magisk
After selecting Advanced -> Reboot to recovery I got completely black screen, cant get either fastboot or recovery ... MiFlash detects COM3 and tyring to flash gets me error: cannot receive hello packet
