Cool, but the one drawback is that if you use Good Lock, some of the modules will not be functional.
Yes. Good Lock modules need to be updated in order to support One UI 5.

Any ideas? I've downloaded the Nexus version of the my Verizon app, and you can see the message I get. Not sure if that's the issue.

Whenever I check for updates, I always get that no updates are available, even though I've seen others with the same model or similar (Note 4 for example) receive recent updates.. what's the issue?

That's not a major update. It's only a security update but it's still good to see updates for this phone. I'm still hyped about the GPU turbo mode later this year ?

Is this a joyui12 update or just a sequrity patch update
Your guess is good as mine but i think it's going to be both because Chinese version of device already have newest JoyUi for quite some time.
I couldn't find a thread about this, hopefully I didn't miss another one, but anyway I got the memo earlier, checked & the update is out!!
