Moto Z4/Visible Wireless support - Treble-Enabled Device Guides, News, & Discussion

Everything on the Moto Z4 works except the under display fingerprint reader. It's missing the APN for Visible Wireless (a Verizon MVNO) but cellular otherwise works fine. I'll help in any way possible. I used the Phh AOSP 10 rom and the Unofficial Lineage 17.1 build.

H2O Wireless not working on custom ROMs

Does anyone have H2O Wireless working with a custom ROM? I tried Lineage OS and CyanogenMod and mms and data are very inconsistent. I tried the H2O APN settings included with the ROM as well as several other APN settings I could find.
I'm running H2O without any issues and have been on almost every rom currently, MM and Nougat. The stock H2O APN settings have been working fine for me.
Okay, maybe I was just a little too impatient. I tried to just set it back to the included H2O APN setting and it mostly works now. Today, the data stopped working again so I restarted the phone and then it started working. So maybe there's a bug in the ROM but if a restart fixes it then it's no big deal. I'm currently on Cyanogenmod 14.1.

I get an occasional data connection loss too every once in a great while. I will say though on AOSPExtended was the worst with H2O, I was rebooting several times an hour at a few points using it. I would stray away from that for the time being with our carrier. I'm currently on LineageOS and I haven't had any issues.

T-Mobile works on one G4 but not another?

I've got a SIM card from T-Mobile to try out and when I put it in my main G4 which has LineageOS 14.1, it will occasionally connect and toss packets back and forth but then disconnects and won't come back. I've tried messing with settings and triple-checking APN settings, nothing works. Tried the same SIM in another G4 that is stock and it works flawlessly, connects and makes calls, gets data, and holds a strong connection.
I don't get it. I even re-flashed the modem since I've had issues with that in the past. My main G4 has an AT&T SIM in it normally and that works great, has since I've owned it. Any ideas? Is this some kind of baseband issue or something?

Wifi calling for Oreo

Very conflicting reports here. I tried an Oreo rom for about a week but went back to the Nougat version of AOSPExtended since 8.1 tended to stutter during games (might have been a kernel issue at the time) and the deal-breaker: no wifi calling (but VoLTE was working). My gym sometimes isn't very nice to T-Mobile US and where I work has several carrier-agnostic dead spots where having wifi calling and texting via T-Mobile would be nice to have.
Any confirmed 8.1 roms with wifi calling working?

Cannot connect to iPhone XS MAX Tether (Wifi or Bluetooth) from 14.1 Potter Moto G5 P

A friend upgraded their phone and carrier to an iPhone XS Max on Verizon. Moto G5 Plus connects to home and work WiFi without issue. Connects to my PixelXL2 tether (tmobile) without issue. When connecting to the iPhone the eventual error message is "The password may be invalid". I tried using another Moto G5 Plus running 14.1 and received the same error. Testing the iPhone tether with an iPad mini and a Nexus 6P (PureNexus), connected successfully.
I'm not finding any similar results from web searches and thought I would try here.
Thanks
HC
