That works. However, I found out this has nothing to do with the proximity sensor. The screen just goes to sleep and locks after the set 'sleep' interval even during a call. I tried factory reset, safe mode, nothing helps...

Hi all!
I have that weird problem with the screen.
During phone call my touchscreen becomes unresponsive, but only when I had it by ear. I can't get access to the dial pad or any button on screen.
The only buttons which work are three buttons under the screen and of course all hardware ones. So to finish the phone call I have to use power button. After which screen works again.
Do you know any way to fix it?
I'm on official GB 2.3.3 Korean Olleh.

Problem with proximity sensor, i think you have instaled any app for turn off screen during a call, maybe, have you do hard reset?
Im having this very same issue runing the olleh GB 2.3 rom as well.

I use this:
# Disable blackscreen issue after a call
ro.lge.proximity.delay=25
mot.proximity.delay=25
On build.prop
And it works!

My ZUK Z1 usually forces the screen to lock automatically, this happens usually after a phone call. The screen keeps on sleeping after 0.25 sec. from pressing the power button in order to wake the phone.
When I long press the power button in order to reboot the phone, the power menu dialogue pops up but it doesn't respond to any of my touches, so I long press the power point for 10 sec. to force the reboot process.
Is that a hardware problem? A software one? I really would appreciate any kind of help. Thanks for taking time to read.
I have same problem with you

I discovered that this is a software problem in the Cyanogen OS itself, because my friend who has OnePlus 1 is facing the same problem.

Try to disable double tap to sleep feature in the Display settings.
Hi guys i have facing same problem any please help me ?
One detail bothers me a lot, namely if I press the upper button while in a call the line is dropped.
So, I cannot make sure that the screen is permanently off while in a call.
(I'm not so concerned about battery life, but sometimes the ear can make unwanted keypresses)
That's not the case with other phones.
Any idea how to be in a call with screen totally off?
My Zenfone turns the screen off if I put it on my ear while in a call and then turns on again when I remove it from my ear. Maybe you proximity sensor is broken, or you turned some option on/off.

Proximity sensor works, but it is not what I need...
Just want to be able to turn off screen completely like on Nexus or Oneplus devices

There is an option to end a call with the power button. Disable that and your problem is gone.

Been looking for this option, to turn it off, but cannot find it.
Where is it?
Settings - Acessibility - Power Button ends Call
Make sure your screen protector has a hole for the prox sensor. Oterwise the screen will shut off during call an wont come back without hitting power button.

Hello, just got the LG G6 and the phone vibrates every time I have a notification while I'm on a call, can't seem to find anything to turn this off. I read that this is a 7.0 problem that should be fixed with 7.1? but wondering if I'm the only one with this problem or if there's a workaround.
Thanks
Try: Settings>Sound>Vibration and turn off "Sound with Vibration".
You'd have thought LG would have included that info in the LG G6 User Guide that you downloaded and read, wouldn't you.

What types of notifications? Maybe caused by a third party application? Check the settings of the app where you get the notifications.

Hey,
I'm currently rocking the 6T with OOS 9.0.11 not rooted.
I'm overall very happy about it but the stock phone-app is just horrible. I really often accidentally tap on the button "Hold Call" or "Mute Microphone".
I'm slowly getting really angry about this.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way (with, preferably: without) root to change the callling app or deactivate the "hold call" and/or "mute mic" button during a call?
Or is there maybe a way to change the way the phone reacts to de- and re-activate the screen during a call?
Thanks in advance!
i use stock phone app too and did have any issue so far. When its on call if you hold your phone close enough to your ear the screen should go black and not receiving any touch events . you might need to check if your phones' proximity sensor is working correctly.
