If you have an unlock boot loader just downloaded the fast boot ROM from here https://mifirm.net/model/davinci_eea.ttt
And flash it with mi flash tool, I have updated and downgraded multiple times and I haven't encountered any problems.
And when flashing check the flash clean all at the bottom right of the program if yout don't want to lock your bootloader.

if i do not want to unlock?

Download the latest miflash tool, the correct tissot images (I personally used the oreo December patch) and the drivers. You can also flash via the batch file but miflash is recommended. Download the required dot net framework.
Please just have a look at this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/ota-official-fastboot-image-n2g47h-7-12-t3728929
It includes a guide and already a lot of answered questions.
Thank you guys... Today i will not flash anymore...cause i have a huge headache... of trying and trying, and trying... In a couple of day i will do it again...

Follow this thread :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3718542
It provides link to all roms (stable, beta & incremental) & Mi flash tool. Download the latest platform tools zip for windows & update your .net framework. You should also make sure you've installed your adb & fastboot drivers correctly.

Before yesterday i had that problem too...
And i fix it with Mini Flasher...(a software for Redmi 3s)
You have to download the 7.1.2 Nougat (N2G47H.7.11.18) firmware for mi A1.
Unlock your bootloader and connect your phone in fastoot mode...select the firmware and flash him.

can i go from chinese stable to this without brick
What's the deal with this - is it safe?
What is the difference between this and xiaomi.eu rom? Does it have less bloat than china version?
Then also this is a TWRP ROM,
Are original ROMs TWRP?
Its actually funny lol, I posted the link to the global rom first.
People used the link and posted it all over the place.

I think that you can't go from china to global (and vice versa) with recovery rom (which that is). You need fastboot one flashing with mi flash tool.
For all those who want to install global rom with a working modem (for calls and cellular, internet etc.) please follow the guide: here
if you dont have Anti-rollback yet: Instead of installing 9.6.12.0 install 9.6.11.0

English sealed box with "Global Version" sticker, European style charger plug, locked bootloader, running Global OEDMIFD MIUI.
If that's your phone then yes, you can flash it with stock Xiaomi recovery either via System update > Chose package from storage or in recovery(see this).
BTW no ARB on 9.6.6.0.
What should I do to install global Rom if I have a Chinese original Rom? Any instructions please.

It will wipe your phone and all the data in it. Your phone will be boot just like new phone with no magisk and twrp.. you have the option to lock your bootloader if you want while flashing the rom.
You can again flash the twrp and magisk after booting your phone in miui 11..just do not re-lock your bootloader while flashing.

Bricked device need help

So my mi 9t is not bricked, I was running the latest EU version of miui 11 when I tried to lock the bootloader. I now have the error your system has been destroyed? But due to antiroll back protection I can't flash any of the current .tar files available for miflash tools. Is there anyway around this or will I have to wait till a miui 11 version of the flash tool images are released? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
